    Update!!!
Just got an email from NVC at 1am. It was a welcome letter with my case number and a checklist on what to include and basically what to do next.
I know the uscis sent my package on October 5th, not sure when NVC received it (maybe a week later because it went from Texas to New Hampshire).

I updated my timeline. Keep holding on everyone. It's a slow and gruelling process but totally worth it to be in our husband or wifes arms eventually 😊😍

Crispyxx thanks for responding, I appreciate. I am ready to do whatever it takes so my husband and i can have a normal life together.... this is the far opposite from normal and taking too long.
Jump of a cliff is a dutch expression, we don’t have cliffs though😊
Sorted by home country there should not be a problem, we are a small humble country.
As how you describe calling is why we don’t ... bringing nothing and I already have enough of the nothing they do and frustration this whole process giving.

i try to hang in there.... really do.....

^^^ This is so true. Family and friends will act like ur the best thing since sliced bread and will be very encouraging because they stand to benefit. But their words and behavior can give insight to the character of the person in question. They are not quite as guarded all the time.
Anyway the OP hasn't been back since they started this thread. I also find it interesting that she said the Jamaican resort worker wanted to breed her but yet she marked her profile as being a male.

One of the above posters touched on a very important question one of which me and my fiancé have discussed.
Does he/she want you to move there to their home country? My fiancés country is considered a developing nation by economic standards, yet their GOP has been 6-8 % the last five years compared to our anemic 1%. Yet she would prefer I move there to live with her, but I still have children to raise and she accepts and understands.
That to me atleast puts to sleep any motivation for a better life/ green card seeker. I am not judging because who amongst us does not want a better life for themselves or their family? I just think if the original poster can get into that level of conversation with her BF it could alleviate many doubts.
    Good Luck

mrsfranklynw reacted to BethAnn and Omar in Jamaica: A Success Story
    Hi All,
I've been MIA for a while but I wanted to share my story with you in hopes that it gives encouragement to others. I met my husband on April 28, 2011. We got married in Jamaica on February 19, 2012. It has been a rocky road for us to say the least. Severe depression and hospitalization (me), two miscarriages, a lot of stress, doubts, infidelity (me), you name it, it's happened to us. Omar got his visa on December 13th and came to the US on December 23rd. 5 months later I can honestly say that this is the kindest, most patient and honest man I could ever ask for. I say this because I wrote here in September about stereotypes and expressed my own doubts about his legitimacy. I worried that he was just using me for money and to come to the US. Doubts that I am sure most of us petitioners have. I worried because people were putting thoughts in my head that he didn't love me. My parents didn't support our marriage and pretty much no one else did. Now it's been over 5 months since he's been here and I can't tell you how things have changed. Yes we still have issues because I do a lot of stuff to cause him stress. I'm working on that. But honestly things are great. He is getting a lot of work and is truly happy. He and my parents have an excellent relationship. He is my soulmate and the love of my life and a great husband.
So the lesson here is to not let people dissuade you from marrying someone and pursuing a relationship that you believe in. Even if you are so different and come from completely different stages of life and cultures, etc., it doesn't matter. Love truly has no boundaries. Not all men are the same. There are some really genuine and good ones out there. And I hope you all find the happiness that I have. I am here is anyone wants needs assistance with the CR1 process or just wants to vent.
    BethAnn

Hallelujah and thank you Jesus! My husband just had his interview at the embassy in San Salvador, El Salvador and was approved!! I thought he'd be there much longer but his interview was at 8:30 and he called me at 8:50!!! He said he was interviewed by a lady and she was very nice but asked a lot of questions (not sure of the questions yet but when he gets home he will tell me) and she said everything was approved!!!

I cried tears of joy! I'm so over the moon! I can't believe that after so long this is over. I'm beyond grateful and feel so blessed. All of our prayers paid off and God heard us. God bless each and every one of you that helped along the way and for all your prayers and well wishes! Good luck to all of you awaiting your interviews!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
