April filer, myself and still waiting to be scheduled for an interview. Last time my case status was updated was in May 2017... I'm in New York and processing times are 12-19 months!

    Had my interview today.
It seems that USCIS had lost or misplaced a couple of forms which were supplied with my original packet (Marriage certificate; my wife's G-325a). After a rocky start, things went well and the IO was pleasant and easy-going, yet still professional.
Case has been put on hold, however, as the medical I supplied was filled out on the wrong edition of the form (an updated version had been released two-and-a-half-weeks prior to having my examination). This meant the gonorrhoea section was incomplete as it differs considerably on the old and new edition of the medical form -- frustrated that this error wasn't caught by the doctor as he was the one initially filling out the form, although I am also kicking myself for not having double checked the matter with my copy.

Bit down about the whole scenario after heading off first thing this morning with high hopes this would all be done and dusted. Will be visiting the doctor tomorrow to see if either:

    a) he has a negative result for gonorrhoea testing (if it was carried out) which he can supply evidence of and reprint my results on the new edition of the medical examination form

    or

    b) I will have to have a separate gonorrhoea test done and signed off on the updated forms

    It never ends...

Living together is hard, especially after doing long distance. My husband and I had our challenges in the first couple of months, but talking and being honest and kind to each other got us through it. As for cultural differences - I'm from Eastern Europe and he is American - as cultural differences go, it's like the moon and the sun. But simply being from a certain place in the world doesn't define you entirely. You say England is a culture of drinking - as someone who travels to England often and has many English friends, I can't disagree with you more. Drinking is not the number one defining characteristic of your culture. Don't blame your country for your own shortcomings - own up to your mistakes and make efforts to be there for your wife. As someone who has also given up on a great job, great apartment, close group of friends and financial security to move to a foreign country to be with "the one", giving up on all those things was the easy part - it's being there for each other day after day and building your marriage that is the hard part. Good luck!

    Hi there
When I spoke to a tier 2 officer on the phone they told me my application was ready to be scheduled for interview as of May 31. But doesn't mean i will actually get an interview or if it will be waived and there is no indication of time. They said it's normal not to hear anything after that notification for a while - processing times vary.

    Hi
Mine was delivered in my mailbox, with priority mail. USCIS sent it on Aug 2 and I received it in the mail on Aug 4. Is your name clearly labeled on the mailbox? Sometimes the postman won't deliver government letters if your name isn't on the mailbox... I can understand you are worried since it's been quite a while since they mailed it! Try calling your local post office - they might be able to help you with this.

    Hi All!

First time posting in this thread.  We sent our packet in on April 4 and received NOA on 4/17 for all items in the packet. After months of waiting, we finally got a text that the EAD was approved on 7/26.  I was worried that we didn't get approved for the AP because the MSC# mentioned in the text was only for the I-765.  We received TWO I-797 (NOA) for BOTH the EAD and the AP on 7/31 in the mail.  The NOA's were just informing us that the EAD and AP were approved and how to use the combo card when it arrives in the mail.  That same day (7/31) we got another text that the EAD card was ordered for production. She received her combo EAD/AP card in the mail 2 days later on 8/2.  The next day on 8/3 we went straight to the SSA office to get her an SSN.  That card will hopefully arrive next week.  She applied to various places to work at the beginning of the week when we got the NOA's and now she has an interview at Legoland next week and also an actual job offer at a local Indian Casino!  This has been one hell of a week considering we have heard crickets from USCIS for the last 100 or so days!

It's great to see everyone else that filed in April starting to get some action from USCIS.  Now for those who us have achieved this big milestone, we await our next one--AOS Interview appointments!  Hopefully that will come soon!

Yes it's possible that EAD and AP comes as two separate documents even if you sent in your applications together. It's probably not too common thpugh, I've only seen a handfull at most here on VJ. You will most likely receive a combo card and it doesn't matter what your AP status says.

My AP never got updated online. It still even says 'received' and my EAD got approved in Feb. I received my combo card. It looks like they don't put effort into updating AP online sometimes.

Edit: I received a I-797c approval notice for both. It said in the notice that both got approved.
