    Well consider this also....

we all come from varying backgrounds, some of us (me) are very direct in what we say. Now some people will understand but other may perceive what we say as being rude or lacking empathy. This is not true it is just how we speak and communicate.

This is a problem with messages on a board, sms messages and emails, a person can read the words being said, and cannot get the feelings trying to be coveyed. I personally did not see anyone being rude, I read the thread as people giving valid explinations that could cause the delays and explaining that there are other members that was have to endure a much longer wait.

it is all in how a person reads it.

just my 2 cents on it.....

just read this on google news, as I said before just enforcing the current laws, false documents, lying, fraud, misreapensations, criminal charges.

It helps to read articles from all mainstream media and then to think for one self about what is the truth and what is not, that is the only way to make an informed decision

Immigrants are more than welcome and are very well accepten in our country as long as they follow the rules and come here legally, daca is not complicated, it is an illegal program by obama and even he admitted it was illegal.

USCIS has a customer service phone number and a website you can self track you case

NVC has a customer service phone number you can call from 7 am until 12 midnight and a website

it looks to me like you just want to blame everone else for any issues you either have or possibly could have, take responsability for your own actions and future. The rest of us that have dealth with immigration have sucessfully done it, why are you having difficulties?

maybe if you are having problems you should try asking questions to improve your sisuation you are having instead of trying to lay blame. You say lost papers due to address changes, case transfered, have you filed change of address paperwork with the post office? Have you called USCIS to inquire abour your case?

there are alot of very smart members on this site that would be more than willing to help you.

Look, I am not going to get into an all night debate about this but I have seen plenty of illegals demanding and I am sure alot of other members on here have seen it too, just turn on the tv...... daca comes to mind!

i hate to tell you this but USCIS, NVC, the embassy, the local police, the IRS all have the ability to mess you up, it is up to you to be vigilant and stay on top of things to make sure your paperwork, requests for documents and follow up’s are taken care of. Stop trying to blame USCIS, the post office and anyone else, this is you’re reaponsability, no one elses.

sorry if I come accross rude but this is the truth.

No offense, but you seem to be taking this conversation to heart?

this all started to control the illegals from coming into the country, you know the ones that have been deported several times, have serious criminal offenses against them. Am I on the side of USCIS and ICE.... as a born American citizen, 46 years old and have been paying taxes since I was 16, the answer is yes I am.

what you are seeing is the media and any hack with a pen and paper writing their ideas of what the laws say. The truth in the media is so distorted it is not even funny anymore, you just simply cannot believe them. There is an old saying I learned from when I was a kid.... believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.

according to some people, our government has gestapo groups knocking down doors and dragging everyone away that has a green card, not true!

do you remember what happened in 2001? That is part of the reason for the increased security in our nation, why do you think that when we go to the airport we have to basically have to be cavity searched and they stop short of the happy ending. This is for the safety of our country and us (the citizens).

Let me ask you this.... how do you feel about the illegals coming into the country freely and demanding right and citizenship when each and every one of us have spent large amounts of time, money, heartache and tears trying to get thru the immigration system the legal way, to me this is a slap in all of our faces.

so, basically, just chill out. This is just more junk written by so called reporters trying to stir people up into a frenzy and by the way, these laws have been around for anlong time, they are not new. They were just not fully enforced under previous administrations.

I am not being judgemental, here is the reality of it, pay the fee and files for AOS, otherwise, I do not believe that your wife can leave the country without the advance parole. If you say you do not have the money for it, than you have to wait.

there is no waiver available, so either pay by cash, check or charge or unfortunately, your wife cannot go

if I am not mistaken, another poster said entry was in June, this expense should have been already assumed by the sponsor and he/she should have prepared for it.

as far as people falling on hard times..... well. Every person creates and makes their own destiny. I would suggest a second job to pay the fees

I guess this means that everyone should read the instruction fully and include all documents in the petition, sorry to sound harsh but he is the reality of it. If you are not ready to file because of incomplete documentation. These problems are all preventable by the petitioner

It's old but still valid.  It's the reason why we have introduced things such as habeas corpus and due process—to give us some protection against bureaucratic ####-ups.

That can never be completely avoided.  Any good system will have to consider the trade-off between people gaming the system vs people falling through the cracks.  In this case, people gaming the system causes a somewhat higher workload for USCIS.  People falling through the cracks means people being deported or, in milder cases, being stuck in legal limbo for months.  Personally a higher workload for USCIS seems more acceptable to me.

That being said, I'm not sure whether I'm in favor of the new rule or not because we don't know what the numbers actually are, how much faster USCIS will process applications vs how many cases will be unjustly denied.

Same reason why USCIS lost our I-129F petition after they had approved it?  Same reason why it took 6 weeks and 3 visits to the Social Security Administration until I finally got my Social Security card?  Because sometimes bureaucrats #### up.  That's why we want some measures of protection in place against those inevitable bureaucratic ####-ups, especially when they might get people deported.  USCIS's latest policy changes remove some of those protections (in favor of streamlining the process).

No it doesn't sounds right because your husband could have requested immunization documents from his doctor instead of putting an unnecessary amount of vaccines into his body. Unless I'm misunderstanding your "2 sets of vaccines in 3 months".

Of course it doesn't sound right. That's why USCIS doesn't require K1 applicants to get a second medical in the US. That's why they're supposed to request the "related file" their email alluded to (it's the packet submitted at CPB).  My timeline was off about the amount of time that lapsed between his overseas medical and the RFE (apologies, it has been many years)but the fact remains that if we complied with what they'd asked for (erroneously on their part), he would have had his third set of childhood vaccinations, the second and third separated by a matter of months. I'm not sure why you think I'm making this up-- the archives are more than available to you.

Hilariously, of course, after all this, his mother found the darn baby vaccination book. Offered to send it. That ship had long sailed.

I've been fortunate enough - and planned enough - to never carry a credit card balance. That said, paying via credit card is certainly on the table...the extra interest costs over the few months needed to gather the funds is insignificant compared to waiting longer for the EAD alone.

But If you read the instruction and follow them this will not happen, check, double check and triple check before sending, this is the petitioners responsability, not uscis.
