I have a question for anyone who has information... i contacted my local senator who sent in an inquiry to the US Embassy regarding my husband’s case but I haven’t heard back from him and it’s been 6 weeks.... Does anyone know if the Governor can help?
U need to call his office directly and make sure they received ur paperwork for the inquiry.every congressman and senator has an immigration dept .u need to get in touch with them.

For those of you who have reached out to your state representatives, how long did it take for them to get in contact with you about your case?

Hello, I have a question. I’m looking to reach out to my state representatives about our case, but i’m not sure if I should contact my state senator or house of representative member. Does it make a difference? Thanks in advance.
u can contact both at the same time.or only one.the best option will be the representative because they respond quickly and more involved to help.u can even schedule and appointment with representative office immigration department and discuss with them about your case.good luck

It is a form letter, insert the name and address and job done, I understand they have 3 days to respond to a Congressional inquiry.
For us as in US embassy in Morocco its been months and months that immigration Visa department are not responding to any emails even if u send email daily or weekly or monthly as they don't care no more.

It's really good sign you are very close to Magic word Issued. All my prayers for your husband case and for ev1 suffering from this moron ds5535.
Guess its a good sign but first if adjustment of visa is on its final steps.because its passed 6 months after interview it will be required to redo medical exam and maybe some other papers and then embassy will issue the visa.wish u the best to happen very soon.

Same response as congressman inquiry :
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding your pending visa case. the case is still undergoing administrative processing, and unfortunately we cannot determine precisely how long it will take to complete this process. We realize that these extended time periods cause frustration to many individuals and we are sensitive to the fact that one of the principal purposes of the immigrant visa program is to re-unite families. Nonetheless, Consulate General Casablanca, like all U.S. embassies and consulates, must adjudicate visas in accordance with the provisions of the law, and, in some cases, this involves extensive administrative processing.
It is not uncommon for this procedure to take longer depending on the volume of cases the Department is working on. We will contact you immediately upon completion in order to finalize the visa application process. Please be assured that Consulate General Casablanca and the Department of State are aware of your concerns and will do all we can to see that the visa is adjudicated as soon as the processing of your application has been completed.
I hope that this information is helpful.
Regards,
Immigrant Visa Unit, U.S. Consulate General

Hey guys! My fiance was requested to redo his medical this month. He submitted it 3 days later on April 5th. Since then there have been 3 updates
The last two are back to back, yesterday and today...
We are both on edge..is this a good sign?
And since last week Thursday, status for passport has changed from "passport at us consulate/embassy" to "document delivery information:" but it's blank. What does it mean?
To be honest we are just scared...waited so long for this. Maybe not as long as some people here. I am hoping and praying for you all. ❤
When ur fiance had his interview ?

our priority date is july 5, 2017. my husband's interview was finally march 5, 2019 in casablanca. he was placed in administrative processing and told he would receive an email. they kept his passport. later that day, he received the ds5535 via email and he responded to it the same day. we received an updated date on CEAC 8 times and the 9th one was today, reading "issued."
Alhamdulillah!
BIG CONGRATS to u, really deserve it.I read ur story before and felt sorry for u as why they will even give ur Husband DS 5535 .but it was a record breaker when they took care of business so quickly Thanks, God.

salam alikom ,
as adil-rafa said try to have someone watch the baby for u.and focus on ur interview Embassy already know u have a baby once u applied for his passport even before he gets it. taking him to interview will not serve u by anyway might just get u distracted and cause u to not handle interview very well.its totally different system than Morocco authorities that they need always the person standing in front of their eyes with papers to believe and confirm.US Embassy will have all information about u and ur husband and son on the computer screen any question they will ask u, they know for sure the answer to it.
Good Luck

helloo everyone !!
im just here to discuss an idea with mr=e and my faincee made a k1 visa ,i passt the interview on 18 march 2019 ,then they gave me like a form wiritten on it that your application is refused until we precess the papers you submitted .then ,after two days they sent me the ds 55 35 to fill up and resend it back to them .
So now ,due to my fancee is a Mexican American we dicided to get merried and go to mexico ,then we will will get the recedency and stay closer to each other and apply for cr1 visa .im just curous .when i get the risedency should we aplly the process to go through mexican or morrocan consulate even if im ganna be staying ther ??
actually its a tough situation.DS 5535 will take months and months .then as Muslim u want to be married so that u can live together in Mexico .when u will apply for CR-1 from Mexico u will need to wait till u have the residency in there, don't know how long it will take. after u Get Married K1 is no more a valid visa for u.
as the other person said Applying for CR-1 will take the same time or longer than DS 5535 check to be completed. plus more money to spend.
I will suggest u put all plans in front of u both as a couple and make a decision .its all possible
I'm personally dealing with DS 5535 for my wife and we have a first baby child which made it even worst to be apart but we are dealing with the challenge with patience and supporting each other .now it's been 10 months after Interview and 2 years since I applied.
Good Luck

My Question,
Anybody from Morocco is granted Visa After DS5535 was submitted?
for my Wife's Situation. Interview date was 05-04-2018 all went well. then CO told her to answer some Questions that she will receive.which we did. after a few days we contacted Consulate and were told the process will take 6 to 9months. and still waiting till now.

With 3 visits a marriage and Cr1 are safe to go
however, your "to wife" must look up the financial requirements and the poverty guidelines
she will need to make 125% of the income needed for 3 of people she supports
She will have to show income enough for the last 3 years (before the interview) to sponsor you
it really is illegal to work under the table and not pay taxes on that income
you marry this march and file in april or may, the interview will not be till late 2020 so she can do 2018 and 2019 tax returns to correct that issue
she will also have to show 2017 income
I would not even try K1 with your age difference
Exactly Said.

you will not have to pay anything at Embassy when u will have Interview.everything is paid up to the Interview date.
-
My guess is u keep his old address with his brother which is a legal one and its on the files already.and currently as u said he is in hotel for a temporary period .like a vacation think about it this way.make things easy for yourself .dont panic
If he signed a lease for house or apt or bought a house then u are forced to use new address.

Bad advice... OP should absolutely consider what happened extremely important and even if she go to N400 interview she needs to tell them about what happen, though I'm sure they will already know. Also yes, ROC needs to be approved first or at least at the same time... without decision on ROC they won't approve OPs N400.
Why I said that u must go to N400 interview because had kind of the same situation .so when I went to N400 interview during pending ROC .IO had no n n choice than to do interview for ROC which was approved on spot then I did N400 Interview and was approved too. So dont try to miss N400 Interview and then u loose ur chance to take care of everything .

Yes my 751 was pending when i applied for citizenship , and yea they scheduled both interviews separately, for i 751 which was today and for n400 which is on Sept 20th next month , so when i mentioned that to my IO , she said do not come to that interview you 751 has to be approved before that 🤔🤔🤔🤔
GO TO N400 INTERVIEW .DONT GIVE ANY IMPORTANCE TO WHAT IO SAID TODAY.

Its really complicated to determine if its a bad sign or good .most of the time CO will keep.the passport if they know maybe AP will last no more than 6 months before medical exam expires .but also sometimes they might keep passport to make sure u will not travel somewhere else during AP .for many cases in different locations CO kept passport and then the AP took more than a year and still waiting .
