123 days and counting. Our case was received on Dec 1st. Filed a congressional inquiry but all we got back is "The above referenced case is under review with an officer. Please feel free to contact us if your constituent does not receive a notice of action* within 45 days."

Any ideas on what else we might do or why its taking so long?

Considering there are still November filers who haven't got approved not much you can do but wait. If you get to the 5 month mark and still nothing then you can try calling CSC service center.

Again, thank you so much for this. I just wonder why they skip applications. Any idea why? Some days show zero cases touched. Makes me think they skip papers that aren't that easy to run through. I don't know, but it's just weird that they do that.

Just because they don't work in the order of cases received. They grab cases by stacks so this is why you will see a range of 10-12 days sometimes in cases touched.

I understand. Still very frustrating though considering the effort put in.

Yeah but I'm sure everyone who put together their packet put the effort in as well. Unfortunately they don't work in chronological order on the cases so ones after yours, before yours, and even the same day as yours may get adjudicated. Just out of any filers control. Hang in there your nearing the finish line.

    Hi all.

So I'm back to my country after visiting my fiance in the U.S.  and I'm really, really depressed.  It's getting harder to keep on waiting, I am so angry at those receiving their NOA2 although I know it isn't their fault.

I'm exhausted and I really want to get over with this process. It's draining my mental health.

Please tell me I'm not the only one feeling like this after visiting their loved ones?  I'm going crazy.

Don't let it drain your mental health. I'm sure everyone on here doesn't like being away from the one they love, but think of some others who may have not even had the opportunity to see their loved one like you just did. Of course the waiting is tough but try to think of the bigger picture. You are waiting months to spend a lifetime together.

Yup im fully aware of the VJ estimate being changed or pushing back significantly. And that it is not tied up with USCIS database. I just wanted to ask Roger so we are both aligned to dating our respective VJ timelines coz i may be wrong with mine.

In fact, im more than ready to heard good news for our NOA2 by mid April to end of May having a 'Received Date' of Dec 28 (91days now) . Because I know for some cases, it is much more than that reaching 120-150 days. I'd rather lean towards Geo and Akesangel's daily stat than VJ's for some reason of not getting my hopes up.

Anyway, with all this confusion we know we're all in this together hahaha... ??? Spreading good waiting vibes to everyone that we'll soon get there living with our sweethearts in due time. :)

Thanks for wishing me luck. :)

    God bless.

Understood. I know the wait can be tough but hang in there. Things tend to happen when you least suspect them. Hopefully soon for you.

Hello Roger and Grace, i have a question because I noticed that we have almost the same timeline. I checked yours that your NOA1 date was Dec 27 which was sent on 22? Is this the NOA1 date in the letter you received from post mail, or you meant 'received date by the USCIS? We both sent our file on Dec.22. :) (BTW, VJ works based on 'NOA1 Date letter', while USCIS works based on 'Received Date') Actually, this date system brings confusion to many VJ members as against the USCIS Tracking App. :(

I asked because i got so excited too when you said your case may be adjudicated anytime today til march 30. Whereas mine is on April 9 to April 12.

    Here are my details:

Sent our I129-F on Dec 22

USCIS received date on Dec 28

    NOA1 Date on Jan 9

    Estimate VJ adjudication Apr 9-12

    :)

Also keep in mind that VJ is only based on its members updating timelines as VJ isn't tied into USCIS database. So I'm sure as members get approved and update their timelines around your date your estimated adjudication date may change rapidly. Wasn't sure if you were aware of that. Good luck to you.

I've been checking the status it says "In Transit" and this "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center. " but I didn't receive anything with an interview date also would it say embassy received or something when it arrives there?

    Thank you

    Yasser

Don't believe you can schedule until it's in ready status.

    Hi Eluniya

I called NVC this morning at 7am EST that would be 12pm in Sweden and I got through after my second try. I called and was on hold for 5 minutes and I hung up and called back before getting through to a nice lady who said my case had not arrived. Try calling between 7-10 am and 8pm-12am EST.  The number you called is for Immigrant Visa applications, I called 603-334-0888 which is the number for Non Immigrant visas which K1 is.

Seems the range is 10-14 business days before the NVC receives your case.

December folks I have a few questions, so bare with  me please.  I'm sure these questions have been asked and answered before, but if you can help me out I would appreciate it.

    1.  Tracker app said "approved" on the 16th, anyone know how long after that a text confirmation comes?

    2.  Everyone says call NVC about 2 weeks later for new case number.  Is this case # only to track the package from that point forward or do you need it to fill out DS160?

    3.  Do we wait until Embassy receives package to fill out DS160 and pay for the visa?  Or can we fill it out after receiving case #?

Here is link to site you will use to track once you have your case number https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=stLgYJNY3SVNSD63kBq4ow==

    1. From what I have heard most don't receive a confirmation text or email once your NOA-2 is approved. You will get that confirmation and what's next in the mail however.

    2. Once you get that case number from the NVC believe that will track the case movement forward but that's fracked on a different site, not in the case tracker app. Not sure what site is will get it for you when I find it. But I think you can fill out DS 160 and save it as you go. Think you will need actual case number to fill it out completely

    3. Not sure if it's the same for all embassy's so you may want to look at a thread on VJ specific to your embassy but seems the beneficiary will be mailed instructions on what to bring to actual interview and I think embassy dependamt you can either pay online or in person on that day. You will need to bring in electronic receipt signed from completed DS160 on the day of beneficiary's interview.

    Hope this helps and congrats

    Good day Brando y Nadir.,

Start a visajourney time line located on your account. Once you receive your NOA1 it gives the time frame at the bottom of your time line after submitting that date.

Good luck to you afternoon yours!

Yes the timelines on VJ are estimates based on members updating their timelines. They unfortunately are not connected to USCIS. People in the November thread have been tracking the cases nightly and I believe that person based it on to a December filer to run the script for the rest of the December cases. So hopefully people keep passing it on so then you can have a more real time look at how many cases and from which received dates they are working.

How do you know its around May? That would be awesome. But I can't find any info about that. Mostly they just talk about a time frame of 4 to 6 months. Where can I read about that?

    Good luck everyone!!

It's just an estimate based on the pace USCIS is moving at now. There is no concrete date that your particular case will be adjudicated so the best we can do is estimate ?

Hello everyone! I got my NOA1 on Feb 2nd and I haven't heard anything from USCIS, which is common being that it's only been one month. That being said, with my packet, my fiance's G-325a was not signed. He lives in a small town in Cuba where there are no scanners or anything like that, so I submitted it without the signature. I am going to see him again soon and plan on taking a copy for him to sign and me bring back, but I was curious if anyone has any similar situation happen or heard of something like this? The fiance letter of intent was signed by him, but I forgot to take the G-325a when I went and there was no where for us to print it out. There's limited access to internet in his town.

    Thanks everyone.

You will likely receive an RFE for an unsigned G-325a but did you both sign an intent to marry letter? Believe you both have to sign and date an intent to marry letter (s)

Sent in our K1 package on 2/12. Received at Dallas on 2/17, and NOA1 issued 2/23/17.

Now waiting for NOA2. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we will have a smooth and fast turn around, since my fiancé is Canadian.

Havent really spent a lot of time reviewing the forum, but does anyone have an idea of how long it takes to receive the NOA2?

Your fiancé being Canadian has nothing to do with a fast turnaround. Right now seems about 85-100 days for most from NOA-1 to NOA-2

Hey everyone...I see lots of references to thanking Geo for the daily updates. Can anyone tell me where to locate the update?  This wait is driving me mad! we filed on the 9th of Dec, got NOA1 on the 14th, and haven't heard a word since...we are starting to get really nervous, I have bought a house, hers is up for sale, and our wedding is planned for the 9th of July, based on the time lines we were seeing when we filed....we really don't want to have to push the dates, but obviously will have to if we don't get processed in time. Just frustrating waiting on information!

And congratulations on the approval!! That's awesome, you must be so excited!!

Follow the November 2016 filers threads and you will see Geo's report nightly ( Monday-Friday ) at about 2230 EST

Ok i know this has been answered before but I've seen a few asking it over a few of The forums and I've never seen a definitive answer.

    i-129f

    posted December 9th 2016

uscis received December 13th (app/website says that too)

Noa1 recipet letter states recieved 13/12/16 and the notice date states December 17th 2016

which date am I watching as I know with both dates I'm in around 80-85 day wait mark and they are on the 1st week of December. But I'm confused as the noa1 was a Saturday so that throws me off slightly. But think we could approved by end of next week maybe into following :)

sorry to ask this question again hopefully someone can give me some guidance

USCIS bases it on received date. So your time will be coming soon.

Thanks for that Chair. On some previous posts I noticed a link at the bottom where I was able to view this information my self. Is there a specific post here where that link is to where you can view this information periodically?

If you follow the November filers thread Geo posts these stats every Monday through Friday. Usually about 2200 or so Eastern time zone.
