Yes, I did it myself on the phone. You should be asking to speak to L2 officer anyways, they're the only ones that will be able to help you.

@Ahd77 @dnp2014 I had the same issue before. I would call customer service and ask to speak to a Level 2 Officer. When you speak to the officer, they are able to book you InfoPass appointments and they have access to the entire calendar, which is usually pretty open since they don't allow anyone to reserve one online. Hope this helps.

It really depends on how busy they are. Usually, it's around 1-2 months. You can take a look at the chart and see the average time between interview and oath.

That's good. It shouldn't be so busy around then and you should be done in no time. Congratulations!

Yep, I have contacted Gillibrand and Schumer offices and reached out to the Congressman as well. I didn't leave a stone unturned.

I would also contact the Senator's office as well as your Congressman. And you should file a case assistance inquiry here .

Good luck and hopefully you'll be done soon.

My case is pretty similar to yours. I had my interview in July 2017 and didn't hear anything back after until February. I have made multiple service requests and scheduled a bunch of InfoPass appointments and all I got back was "your case is fine and everything looks good, you just have to wait." Around the beginning of February, I made an InfoPass appointment and the Officer said that there must be something wrong that I haven't heard. He filed a service request and said if I don't hear back within two weeks, I should come back without an appointment and see him and he'll take it from there. I waited two weeks and went back and he wasn't there. I kept going every day for that week (sometimes twice a day) until an officer (that sits next to the person that gives you a number when you get there) said "I have heard you come here every day this week. Come to the next window and let me help you." She looked at my case for a while, then said that my file is not where it's supposed to be. She went to physically move my file to the right place and she told me to go to the 6th floor and ask for another officer and he'll have something for me. I went upstairs and waited for the officer - he came out and gave me my Oath Notice.

To sum it up, you should be very persistent. You should keep calling and asking to speak to a level 2 officer. You should keep scheduling InfoPass appointments every couple of weeks and keep hounding them. Eventually, they will get sick of you and look into your case.

Here's the thing though: I had a problem with my process and after numerous calls and visits and L2 calls and a bunch of service requests, I was always told the same thing: everything looks good and you should just wait.

When I got sick of it, I decided to keep showing up there every day and try to speak to an officer, etc etc.. Until one day an officer heard me come to ask about my case three days in a row, and volunteered to take a look at my case. She looked into it and told me that my file has been sitting in the wrong place for the past eight months (after my interview) and she physically went and took the file and put it where it's supposed to be. She also got me the oath notice while I was there that I waited for for 8 months.

    Hope this helps.

Schedule an InfoPass. I had grounds for being there because I was told I should wait four months and I was there after eight months.

You should try to book an InfoPass after 1 am or around 6 am and go try your luck.

Yes, your application won’t be approved without the Selective Service. You’ll need to fix that.

1- There is no sure way to find out when you'll be scheduled.
2- I had my interview fall right in the middle of my trip in Europe and I came back for 36 hours to attend and leave. I know someone who tried to reschedule it and sent the interview letter with a request to reschedule and it took them a year and a half to give him a new date.
3- I believe the ones that have filed electronically (IOE receipt number) are getting a faster process, but, there is no way to figure out how quick or slow the interviews are scheduled.

Hey - I’ve been through something similar and I didn’t hear for months (you can check my old posts). For months, I was told that everything is fine and that my case is just a matter of time, and when my senator contacted them, he was told that it is in final background checks (which is something no one else told me) and when I was finally persistent and showed up at USCIS four times in three days, an officer (god bless her) decided to look into my case because she saw me come there a lot and told me that my file has been sitting in the wrong place for months and she physically went and moved it and issued my oath notice.

I’d recommend being persistent with them, and if the InfoPass officer doesn’t tell you anything, go to where you had your interview and ask to speak for a supervisor and just wait there. If they give you a deadline, show up the day after like you did. Keep scheduling appointments every two or three weeks (you need to do it ahead because they’re only available 14 days in advance).

Good luck and hopefully you hear good news this week.

Welcome to the forum. You can do a walk-in depending if they're busy or not. You should go first thing in the morning and just get them done.

I have had my ceremony today at 500 Pearl Street (@Lela37)

It was scheduled for 10 am and I got there at 9:40. They take the phones and smartwatches before you go in.  by the time I checked in and the officers checked my paperwork, it was 10:20. I had traveled a couple of times after my interview and I had marked that question as yes, so they just asked me to write down the dates and where I traveled to. Everyone was extremely nice and extra courteous. The whole experience was just overwhelming. The ceremony started at 11 and we were done by 11:30. They called out the names to hand out the certificates and I was out of there by 11:40. I went from there to SSA office to update my social security record at 123 William St (10 min walk from there) and was in and out in less than 10 mins.

My advice to anyone going to get the passport done right after the ceremony: don't go to the Church Street Post Office. I was there for two hours, and they had just one person working and he'd spend 20-30 minutes with every application. I left and there were around 6 people ahead of me. Make sure you get an appointment at one of the post offices that take appointments rather than going to wait in line.

Thank you all for the support and best of luck to everyone going through the process. If I can be of help to anyone, please don't hesitate to reach out.
