did it actually say "submit a new Form I-693"? or did it say, "submit it, if you have not done so already"?

also check if your ds-3025 has been marked "complete, request a blanket waiver". because if that has not been checked then yes, you need a new i-693.

    It says:

"You are required to submit the following information as indicated. Return on or before 6/24/2018." And then below that it list "Submit a complete Form I-693", followed by information about what the form is and where to get it.

The DS-3025 was marked Complete, request a blanket waiver. We specifically made sure this was checked when he got it, because we'd heard about people having problems with it not being checked.

  2. Just got a notice saying that we need to submit the Form I-693. Very annoying, since we did submit a photocopy & original document of the DS-3025, and since we are K1 that means we don't actually need the I-693.

Does anyone have the link to where it says K1 don't need to complete this requirement? I would rather take a risk of submitting a second photocopy with that information, then have to spend money we don't have on a civil surgeon.

  3. Hey guys! It's been a while since I've been on VJ. Busy making sure I have all of my stuff together and getting married lol. We got married on October 21st (over a month ago :D) but we had to wait almost a month for our certified marriage certificate copies, and for paperwork from my parents (my dad is my joint sponsor). I'm sending out our AOS package bright and early tomorrow morning, but with processing times I might end up straddling the line of a November / December filer. I'm just very glad the paperwork is going out and is going to be out of my hands. I've been paranoid about losing a tax transcript or a signature page for almost 2 months now lol.

Thanks for the reply. I suppose I should be grateful but, yeesh!! I was hoping for a little more time!

Happened with me as well, clearest answer I could get was that it's because the cases are electronic. It still takes some time from NVC to interview. Feel free to check out my timeline and ask me any questions, since I just got through with the interview stage and everything is still pretty fresh.

Congratulations on your speedy approval!! Sounds exciting though!!
Do you guys have any wedding plans/date yet? =)

Nothing super specific right now. I'm trying to work around two very hectic schedules, lol. I just started my first year of grad school, so I've got appointments and conferences and everything to be worked around. And then my dad is managing a company that's growing right now, and he's going to be out of town for unknown time periods. We've narrowed it down to October, but that's about it. I did order my dress and my fiances ring, though! The easiest step of them all.

  6. Woo our case has been switched over to a non-immigrant visa, and it's currently in AP. My fiance has booked his flight for the 14th of September, hoping that the visa is in his hands by that point. Now I just have to clean the entire apartment and fuss about him hating it for two weeks lol.

I wish everyone the best of luck, this whole process is ridiculous and there's so many of you who should have been done way before me.

Same thing happened with us, and can't seem to find an answer to it. It seems everything went fine for you guys, so hopefully the same will work for us. Never requested an expedited and I can't see how this happened. Did you ever find an answer or explanation to this?

From what I was told from someone else, it seems to be based on the fact that Australian cases are electronic? But I never had that confirmed by anyone in an official position. It never affected our case though!

  8. Oh, we both misunderstood what the doctor meant. He has to give his psych a letter, but the psych doesn't have to send anything back. So once blood and xray stuff come back, medical is cleared! Waiting on embassy for interview date, hoping it's early/middle September.

It breaks my heart to see everyone still waiting on their NOA2s, but there's a light at the end of the tunnel. It goes pretty quick once you get it, and all the waiting just kinda gets forgotten. I'm praying for everyone to get theirs next week!
