Still no email and its not unlocked yet so we'll see what happens.
Maybe I'll try calling late tomorrow night if there's no change.
Do you notice if there was a certain amount of time from when you received the email?
Yeah it'll be a few days in between before the next fee is available.
It took a few hours before I got the email. So possibly later on today for you.
I guess I can wait a few days being that I waited 8 and a half months at Nebraska lol. I am just anxious to get this process moving, I miss my hubby.

I just called and got someone willing to review my form, woo hoo!
She said I should be getting the fee soon, hopefully it works and I get an email today.
so maybe its better to call on the 2nd shift.
YAY! I am happy you got someone who helped you.
I just paid the AOS fee. The other fee has the "Pay now" option but it won't allow me. I guess I have to wait until the AOS shows paid? I will check again tomorrow.

I have to admit, I'm jealous, maybe I'll trying calling later today so its different people from the morning.
Aww don't be jealous. I can't remember if you were able to pick an agent or not? Just tell whoever you speak with what I did...you tried to do it but made a mistake and can they check it for you

O man you got lucky, apparently he wasnt even supposed to fill out the choice of agent form.
That's why it probably went through cause he did it in the phone.
I told him I was able to choose an agent online but I made a mistake, which is true, and I edited it even though it says you can't make changes. That's when he offered to check and do it for me.

So late last night I called NVC as someone here suggested to make sure my agent was set up correctly. The guy I spoke to was nice and offered to do it for me to make sure there was no issues. I then asked if I could pay fees. He said oh yes you should be able to online. I advised him I didn't see the option available to me and can he help me. He said oh I see that but you will be able to really soon. I said how soon, he then gave me the two week spill and then again said but soon. I checked my email this morning and shortly after I got off the phone with him I was emailed my welcome letter. Don't know if the call had anything to do with it or if just a coincidence.

I expedited my cases on 8/31 and received a confirmation email on 9/1 and today i received a email saying the embassy approved it. I did not send any proof.
Thank you. I sent you a private message, I hope you don't mind.

I called again and got the same thing, that stinks, cause in the past on the forums they said you can just call and do it, but I guess that isn't true anymore.
They said my case just got into the system today. Really hope I don't have to wait 4 weeks, even 2 weeks would suck.
I don't think it will take that long hopefully. I set up my agent last night.
I am trying to expedite our case due to medical reasons. I just sent the email with proof attached. I thought I would get an automated reply or something but I have not received anything yet. Anyone know about expediting?

The agent was wrong. You can try your case and invoice number before welcome letter, if it works, then you can choose the agent.
I hope it works, going to try now

Just called, got the same info you did, really hoping for this week
I just got my case and invoice numbers. He said I have to wait up to 4 weeks to start paying fees, selecting an agent etc. I thought once you have the case and invoice numbers you can get the ball rolling?

I don't think it'll be a few weeks.
Ours should be together so we're probably in the same boat.
Someone who got approved the same day at me had theirs mailed out August 28th, they got their case number on Sept 8th (Friday)
My best guess is we should be able to get it this week.
I hope this week. I will be calling daily now.

Hi all,
I just called nvc to obtain my case/invoice numbers. I was told they just received my case on Friday 9/8 so it's not scanned in yet. The representative said it can take up to two weeks to be entered in the system. I know they give a general scripted timeframe. Should I call every other day at this point?

Congratulations. My app has been going crazy all day with notifications for approvals, a couple RFEs, cases sent to department of state etc. Today has been a pretty active day for Nebraska. Maybe they're all back from their summer vacations energized and ready to work lol

Yeah I guess it doesn't hurt.
There's more notifications now, but I just want to be able to do some action on my end.
Me too.

True, but I will call just in case. Just glad to see some movement.

I just logged into the USCIS site. As of today my case shows sent to Dept of State.
Actually it states it was sent on Sept 1st. I guess I will call again tonight as well.

I wasn't going to, I was going to do exactly what you mentioned.
You have to figure, you're already approved, the NVC is basically gathering docs and making sure its in order.
At the interview they may or may not ask about the additional evidence.
In a high fraud country like Mexico they might, but its probably also on a case by case basis.
I'll also bring the original proof I provided.
From one review I saw they were more interested in the police report than anything.
I called Tuesday btw and they didn't receive my file yet, I think I'll try tonight again.
Yes, I am not going to send anything else just what they ask for. I will also take my originals and additional evidence since filing to the interview.
I called yesterday and they didn't have mine either. Gave me the it take 6 weeks script. Well, I am not waiting, I will call again tomorrow lol.
-
Will you be side loading when you send your docs to NVC? I was reading it's not necessary, that only proof needed for this stage is if you have a sponsor and you have to prove your relationship to the sponsor. However, they do not need any additional evidence to prove the relationship. The post advised to take the evidence accumulated after the I-130 was sent (photos, additional chat logs, passport stamps, boarding passes etc) to the interview. And if they want to see more proof they will ask for it at that time.

I'm the day before you, from all the timelines I've seen of everyone that's been approved, they've shown 15 days from approval to NVC received, so hopeful we hear something this week.
I'm thinking of trying to call Tuesday night for the first time, being Monday is a holiday
Yes, I hope so. I'm going to call Tuesday night also. I didn't know they were open so late. That's a good thing since I'm always busy during the day with work and kids etc.

Hi all!
My case was approved 8/22. Just waiting now for my case and invoice numbers so I can get the ball rolling. I will be calling NVC next week to check the status. My plan is to call twice a week, beginning and end. Just glad to finally be out of Nebraska after 8.5 months of waiting.

Well is in that period then from 6 to 8 months...
Honestly probably more like 8-10 for Nebraska. Hopefully they speed up and hey it's possible you get approved sooner. Some get lucky with this process, how none of us know but on occasion some get approved really fast

My case was at Nebraska, was just recently approved on 8/22 after 8.5 month wait
