No I'm still waiting and waiting. I've written letters, I've complained and it seems such a uncaring world when it comes to immigration. They talk abt illegal immigration but what abt us doing legal immigration by the book.. If I would have known it's hard to get my husband here we would have not married and then filed for fiancé instead.. Who know the outcome of doing it that way either.. Just real frustrated over all this..
I'm sorry you are going through this. I hope you hear something soon. Have you spoken to a tier 2 representative?
I felt very frustrated too then one day I was finally approved. However, the stress of not knowing took a toll on me health wise. I can just say don't give up, the day will come. I know that probably doesn't offer much comfort to you right now but, it will happen. I know it's hard but try to remain positive.

These people at Nebraska are full of bs
It was the USCIS rep, they don't care. They just say what they want and make up things as they go along. Tell one person one thing, another something else. I am glad I'm done with them.
Still no word on your case?

Hi, apologies if this question was asked before, but I have been unable to find a solid answer on these questions. My wife's application has been approved to be expedited and sent to Santo Domingo, DR with 48 hours. So far we have submitted our DS-261 and DS-260 and paid our fees, the AOS fee and the DS-260 Fee. We still need to submit the Affidavit of Support form, the financial evidence and the other supporting documents like marriage certificate, birth certificate, police document etc.
I have 2 questions:
1) How do I submit the documents to the embassy that have not been submitted to the NVC yet? By email, mail, or do we just wait and have my wife take them to the interview with her?
2) How do we get an interview date at the embassy? Do we wait for the embassy to contact us? Do we go ahead and schedule it online ourselves before hearing from the embassy?
If someone can give me some concrete answers on these questions, I would be forever happy and grateful!!
Thank You
Hello,
You bring the documents/proof with you to the interview.
In about a week or less you will get an email from the embassy informing you to schedule your interview. To schedule your interview you need to set up a us travel docs account:
http://www.ustraveldocs.com/do/
You can set up the account now and when you receive the email, just log in and schedule your appointment.

How was it expedited ?
My expedite was due to medical reasons. I had my doctors write letters on my behalf and I sent an email with the letters attached to the expedite email address (NVCExpedite@state.gov). NVC forwards the request to the Embassy or Consulate and they decide if they will accept the case for expeditious processing or not.

When did u get ur cc?
My case was expedited so it doesn't apply. My file was sent directly to the Embassy and I will provide all my paperwork/documentation at the time of interview.

Was that the soonest you could get or what you decided to take?
It seems like a long time still for an expedite.
That was the soonest available but, it actually works perfect for me. I would not have been able to come any sooner due to work/money etc.

That is nice. You got your appointment yet?
Yes, my interview is scheduled for November 8th

You got expedited too? Wow
Yes, mine was for medical reasons and I submitted proof, but it almost seems like DR approves everyone proof or not

I'm not expedited and it cleared the same for me
Maybe I read the other persons response incorrectly. He said fast process at NVC congratulations, I took that as not the payment clearing but my process at nvc to the interview. ????

Super fast processed at NVC !! Congratulation !!!
My case was expedited due to medical reasons, otherwise I don't think it would have been that fast.

PAID PAID PAID PAID PAID PAID PAID
So I didn't think I'd see any activity over the weekend but decided to just randomly check and EVERYTHING shows paid and the DS260 is now unlocked.
I'm not going to actually send my stuff till Wednesday cause I'm traveling but this is such a relief, should get a scan date the first week of Oct.
I've been out all day running errands so I haven't logged in today to check mine. Going to right now though...

Just got off the phone with NVC and they said the payment processing has been having issues the last month and it usually only takes a few days but now its been taking up to the full week to show paid, and once it shows paid it should unlock the DS260, and if it hasn't cleared by the middle of next week I should call back.
Good to know. I too am waiting for the DS260 to unlock.

So do I pretty much have to wait out the DS260 unlocking?
Both payments have cleared but still show in process, I understand there may be a payment issue at NVC, not sure if its worth calling.
Its supposed to be 7 days from payment cleared to update? If so that's next week.
I am in the same boat. I would like to know as well.

My AOS fee cleared overnight, I submitted it Friday.
I also got an email overnight for my IV fee, it was dated yesterday and just paid it, so I'm expecting it to clear on Thursday and then hopefully be able to fill out the DS-260.
Not sure if I'll put the package together before or after that.
I'm in Mexico till Tuesday next week, I might get it there a few days earlier mailing it from here but it'll cost more so I'll have to figure that out.
My DS-260 is not yet unlocked. I think I still must complete this step even though my file has been forwarded to the Embassy. I will call them later on to check.

Well guys, here it is...we are officially out of normal processing time (PD 12/6). Can everyone please share your experiences filing an inquiry? I have heard mixed reviews about it. Some have said that submitting an inquiry pushed their case back by 30-60 days and others have said it does not. I want to submit an inquiry but the last thing I want to do is push our case back even more. I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences because I won't bother doing it if it does push your case back.
In my experience it doesn't. I wrote a letter to my congresswoman and filed an inquiry. It caused no additional delays. My case was approved 8/22 after 253 days at Nebraska.
Actually, I got the approval before a response to the inquiry. Finally about a week after the approval they responded to the inquiry

OK, Thank you. I definitely don't want a checklist.

Yup, you will get definitely get a checklist, if you don't send document cover
So after each payment we will be given the option to print the document cover?
-
7 minutes ago, mrahman14 said:
Getting AOS bill email is not that important, as long as website let you pay the bill. Make sure to print out document cover from both AOS and IV payment portal. You will need that. Once you have all the document covers, you can send all documents to NVC
Thank you, I was unaware of the information about the cover sheet.

Good to know, so it can be a day or two till I see something, maybe even Monday since it'll be the weekend.
Its possible that they receive the form we submit then send the payment request themselves.
I'm hoping by Monday it's cleared and I can make the other payment.
I also got the confirmation email for my expedite request today. They advised it's currently under review. Finally things are moving.

Have you tried checking your bank account online?
I tried seeing if it showed any pending transactions, but nothing so far.
I had a direct deposit from work last night and that's showing as pending.
A couple hours ago when I checked there was nothing but, I just logged in now and I see the pending transaction.

When my case reached NVC, I sent an email to NVCExpedite@state.gov. My case was expedited for medical reasons and I provided proof but, I know of others who provided none and were granted. However, these were also cases with the embassy in the Dominican Republic. I am not sure how it works with other embassies and if they are strict and require proof or not.
