How did you request cor an expedite?

When my case reached NVC, I sent an email to NVCExpedite@state.gov. My case was expedited for medical reasons and I provided proof but, I know of others who provided none and were granted. However, these were also cases with the embassy in the Dominican Republic. I am not sure how it works with other embassies and if they are strict and require proof or not.

No I'm still waiting and waiting. I've written letters, I've complained and it seems such a uncaring world when it comes to immigration. They talk abt illegal immigration but what abt us doing legal immigration by the book.. If I would have known it's hard to get my husband here we would have not married and then filed for fiancé instead.. Who know the outcome of doing it that way either.. Just real frustrated over all this..

I'm sorry you are going through this. I hope you hear something soon. Have you spoken to a tier 2 representative?

I felt very frustrated too then one day I was finally approved. However, the stress of not knowing took a toll on me health wise. I can just say don't give up, the day will come. I know that probably doesn't offer much comfort to you right now but, it will happen. I know it's hard but try to remain positive.

Hi,  apologies if this question was asked before, but I have been unable to find a solid answer on these questions. My wife's application has been approved to be expedited and sent to Santo Domingo, DR with 48 hours. So far we have submitted our DS-261 and DS-260 and paid our fees, the AOS fee and the DS-260 Fee. We still need to submit the Affidavit of Support form, the financial evidence and the other supporting documents like marriage certificate, birth certificate, police document etc.

    I have 2 questions:

    1) How do I submit the documents to the embassy that have not been submitted to the NVC yet? By email, mail, or do we just wait and have my wife take them to the interview with her?

    2) How do we get an interview date at the embassy? Do we wait for the embassy to contact us? Do we go ahead and schedule it online ourselves before hearing from the embassy?

If someone can give me some concrete answers on these questions, I would be forever happy and grateful!!

    Thank You

    Hello,

You bring the documents/proof with you to the interview.

In about a week or less you will get an email from the embassy informing you to schedule your interview. To schedule your interview you need to set up a us travel docs account:

    http://www.ustraveldocs.com/do/

You can set up the account now and when you receive the email, just log in and schedule your appointment.

PAID PAID PAID PAID PAID PAID PAID

So I didn't think I'd see any activity over the weekend but decided to just randomly check and EVERYTHING shows paid and the DS260 is now unlocked.

I'm not going to actually send my stuff till Wednesday cause I'm traveling but this is such a relief, should get a scan date the first week of Oct.

I've been out all day running errands so I haven't logged in today to check mine. Going to right now though...

Just got off the phone with NVC and they said the payment processing has been having issues the last month and it usually only takes a few days but now its been taking up to the full week to show paid, and once it shows paid it should unlock the DS260, and if it hasn't cleared by the middle of next week I should call back.

Good to know. I too am waiting for the DS260 to unlock.

My AOS fee cleared overnight, I submitted it Friday.

I also got an email overnight for my IV fee, it was dated yesterday and just paid it, so I'm expecting it to clear on Thursday and then hopefully be able to fill out the DS-260.

Not sure if I'll put the package together before or after that.

I'm in Mexico till Tuesday next week, I might get it there a few days earlier mailing it from here but it'll cost more so I'll have to figure that out.

My DS-260 is not yet unlocked. I think I still must complete this step even though my file has been forwarded to the Embassy. I will call them later on to check.

Well guys, here it is...we are officially out of normal processing time (PD 12/6). Can everyone please share your experiences filing an inquiry? I have heard mixed reviews about it. Some have said that submitting an inquiry pushed their case back by 30-60 days and others have said it does not. I want to submit an inquiry but the last thing I want to do is push our case back even more. I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences because I won't bother doing it if it does push your case back.

In my experience it doesn't. I wrote a letter to my congresswoman and filed an inquiry.  It caused no additional delays. My case was approved 8/22 after 253 days at Nebraska.

Actually, I got the approval before a response to the inquiry. Finally about a week after the approval they responded to the inquiry <_<

Good to know, so it can be a day or two till I see something, maybe even Monday since it'll be the weekend.

Its possible that they receive the form we submit then send the payment request themselves.

I'm hoping by Monday it's cleared and I can make the other payment.

I also got the confirmation email for my expedite request today. They advised it's currently under review. Finally things are moving. :)
