Wow! That's a great news JahRyl. Congratulations! Did they provide your interview date?

I am talking to someone who has just recently passed the interview here in UAE, for them they didnt receive the packet 3.

Yes after 10weeks of waiting. My suggestion is to contact the embassy and follow up your case. For us that's what we did and you may also seek assistance from your fiance congressperson.

    Thank you.

Nothing so far.  I emailed the OMBUDSMAN at the DHS, and submitted for a case review of sorts on their website (some online form they told me to fill out in their emailed response).  Did your status ever re-appear?  I hope it did and it was just a database error.

my fiancee went to their congresspersons office yesterday and they will review our request and will get back to him.

no our case number response is still no data found. i am nit quite sure how that is possible i just cheked it last 03jul and it was still in transit. this is kinda frustrating it is 9 weeks now since the case was forwarded as per nvc.

Hi JahRyl! I am wondering that there are cases like this, for some the status has been changed to "ready" after several weeks.

I thought the delay was only because of ramadan.

Please give me an update on your status. Hoping we will get the "ready" status soooooooooner! 🙂

hi anne! any update? for our case we cannot track it anymore in the case tracker it was mentioned as no date returned for the search

I wish you the best, and i agree, your fiancees local congressman may be the best option at this point.  The hardest part you will face is the issues right now with the GCC and their close ties we have with the rest of them (not Qatar).  I feel for you but thats going to be a huge factor, especially with the current administration. Insha'allah you will find out soon.

hello! any update with your case?

Normally the Embassy will extend it for another 4 months and if needed subsequent 4 month periods till you reach one year, then it is no longer valid and you will have to start over.  I'm not familiar with Qatar so I suggest that you call the Embassy when you are getting near and request the extension and determine what their process is.

    Thank you so much!

    :)

Yours is going to be a wait and see.  This whole process is on waiting.  My wife just her LPR GC and it took 1 year and 4 months to get approved. In the past it was 6 months even Calif was approving their ppl within 6 months but Vermont was taking a year and four months. So, word is one needs to learn to have patience. I know, it's hard to do but there is no other way.

    Patience is a virtue.

    :)

One more thing, our Noa2's valid until 4 Aug. Does this mean if I will not be able to finish the process the approval will be expired?

How can we request for extension?

Your is usually the country that you will use that Embassy to process your visa. So when I saw the Philippines I assumed that's where you were processing. Have put down Qatar the flag of Qatar would be there and that tells everyone where you are processing your visa. Having said that....

As a K1, when checking your case online at CEAC you have to select "immigrant visa" as it is treated like as such even though it is a "non-immigrant visa". Don't ask why, as no one has been able to articulate why!

Have you been to the Embassy website for Qatar and read the information so you are beginning to prepare for what is next? https://qa.usembassy.gov/visas/nonimmigrant-visas/

You will need a police certificate details are here https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/fees/reciprocity-by-country/QA.html

Yes we have completed all required documents so as the police clearance for Qatar and the nbi for Philippines.

We are just waiting for our case to be ready and the email from the consulate.

We are checking it as immigrant visa and below was the response. The last time I checked it was 2 days back and the status was "in transit" and now no data found for the request. Screenshot_2017-07-05-13-10-53-1.thumb.png.246c4a33632fe6db3b605e1fe37beadf.png

From your timeline I see you have already gotten your NOA2 letter.  What this means for you who are processing through the Philippines it that now you take over and move your visa forward.  First step is to get your MNL# from NVC if you do not have it already.  Second step is to pay your interview fee. Then complete your DS-160 and finally schedule your interview.  While waiting for your interview you can complete your medical and CFO. Of course you need to collect all the documents for the interview.  Use the Embassy Letter as a check list. If I may can I recommend that you move yourself over to the Filipino forum where there are lots of us who can help you along the way.

Also here is a great website to help you along with the process. http://visaconnection-philippines.com/

I hope to see you over in the Filipino forum.

    Hi!

I am a Filipino but will be processing it here in Qatar as I am working here.

We already got our NVC case number as DOHXXXXXX however it is still in transit and today to my surprise when I checked it under ceac.state.gov site the case number did not return any data.

Do you have any idea on what is the reason for that response?

I tried calling a NVC but they are not much of help.

Hi this showed up whenever i typed in my case number falsly. First time i got scared too but then realized i accidentaly  switched two numbers. As stupid as it sounds but did you double check your number is correct? If that isn't the problem, I would try contacting the embassy about it.

    Hello Special K!

Yes I've tried it several times and it is the correct case number. I memorized it already. Hahah

I called NVC and they said our case is reflecting on their end.

Hello Dan and Wee! I have checked our case in ceac.state.gov tracker and not the status is no date found :o

I don't know what to do now, I did not check it for 2 days.

It really depends on your case with how long they approve it... We received our NOA1 in December and didn't get our approval until April. It depends on the work load. Then we got our letter to say it was being transferred from NVC to UK in May. It is a long wait.

    hi Sarah!

we are of the same boat our case was sent by NVC to Qatar consulate last May 4 and up to now our case is in transit. we have decided to contact a congressperson to inquire on behalf of our case as NVC and consulate kept on pointing to each other .

NVC said to check with consulate , and consulate said to check with NVC.

Hey JahRyl, I hope that everything starts moving along for you soon! We still have a few more weeks to wait while they do the testing on the sputum samples. Hopefully nothing will go wrong again because I don't think I could handle finding out I have to wait an additional six months, lol. Anyways, best of luck and really hope to see good news for you soon!

    hi Terrence!

hoping for our case to be moving forward as well it is kinda frustrating as well as we cannot plan waht to do next since we are both clueless where our case is.

best of luck as well with the sputum test.

Hello! For us to I was just hoping it was because of Ramadan but I think it is not.

And since no one can give me a concrete answer where our case is I tried tracking all the packages that was sent to Qatar from the DHL website starting 4 may onwards and have found only 1 that was sent last 08 Jun and was received 12Jun.

Hoping it would be our case and have checked with other VJ members for Qatar it will take 3-4 weeks before case gets ready from the time they have received it.

    We will keep you posted.

Did your USC fiancé/fiancée already receive the NVC letter containing your case number thats something like MNL********** (MNL stands for Manila)? If yes, then no need to worry. You don't need to wait for the US Embassy Manila letter or packet to proceed with the process i.e. to schedule a medical test at St. Luke's, CFO seminar, embassy interview, etc.

Hello! I'm processing the petition here in Qatar. And for Qatar packet 3 is required.

He has  received the NVC letter.

Sorry to hear about your situation but I was never in your shoes. If NVC and the embassy aren't giving you a straight answer, perhaps you can contact your congressperson or senator to submit an inquiry on behalf of you. It can't be in transit for that long. Now if it was AP, obviously nothing much can be done but to just wait. In transit? Well, that's a whole different ballgame.

Yes it is in transit since May 4 and we cannot have any answer on where our case is it is very frustrating. We don't know whether it is lost in transit or sent to the correct consulate or not.

Thank you, we are planning to contact our congressperson.

  16. hello everyone!

does anyone here have any idea why cases are kept in transit for a longer period of time?

our case was sent by nvc to the consulate last May 4 and up to now no word or email from the consulate that it has been received.

case tracker status is still in transit.

i have tried to contact nvc but no one was of help.

from the consulate as well their generic response was not yet received and once they got it they will send us an email.

anyone here have the same experience?

    thank you and God bless
