Sorry to bother you again. Did the IO say anything about the user-defined error(s) like how long it’s gonna go on or if we’ll ever be able to see the progress of our cases online again? Well, I read somewhere that those experiencing the errors were deliberately blocked by USCIS via their IP addresses due to high volumes of case status check online. I wonder how truthful is this.

She told me that there is a system glitch with the case tracker and they are fixing it but will take time.

We will just have to wait for it or wait for the mail if there is any update.

Thanks so much for the information. It’s so valuable. I hope we have our interviews scheduled as soon as possible because the wait time is beginning to weigh negatively on me as times go by.

    No worries.

Since were on the same boat we have to keep each other updated.

This waiting is like us being hybernated, we can’t do anything but I’m not complaining though at least we’re with our husband/wife.

    Patience is a virtue.

Have a blessed day to everyone.

Hey, anyone in here had an info-pass recently about their case and or the user-defined errors?

    Hi Simon!

Yeah so I just got to my infopass and inquired about my I485 status and was told that my case is ready to be schedule for an interview since March 21. However since my local office is taking up to 10 months for the interview date, i’ll just have to wait.

And also to add that as per the IO EAD and AP will now take 5-7 months to be process.

Well, I guess I get the honor of being the 2nd February filer to get an interview letter :-)

Opened the mailbox and saw a letter from USCIS.  I had assumed this was in regards to our change of address, so opened it up and, Nope, it's the interview letter.  Interview is scheduled for May 14th in Chicago with the notice dated April 9th.

So, it looks like the User Defined Error is a good thing.  That started for me on March 26th and the interview letter is dated 2 weeks after that.  So, I'm guessing that others here should soon be receiving their interview letters too.

I'm kind of shocked that it has arrived already, interview will be just over 3 months from receipt date.  Besides the USCIS error, there are no updates on our case on either USCIS's site or DHS's site.  Now we've got 3 weeks to pull the rest of the required documents together.  And now the nerves kick in.

    Congrats 🙂

I also have the same case as yours, the very famous “User Defined Error” that started end of March. I’m not keeping my hopes that high as my field office is also one of the busiest.

Anyway all the best and please keep us posted. 👍

I still don’t get it man. So did you meet the Immigration Officer face to face? If yes, what did they tell you about the online glitch and your interview appointment? I live some one hour from the nearest USCIS application service center. I wonder how it’s gonna be possible for me to me them. I may be force to just wait it out but hearing goods news from folks like you gives me hope:)

I will be having my appointment on 25 April, after that i will let you know.

Ooh that’s too far, no worries i will definitely update you about it.

I will take notes of my question for the IO.🙂

Hi@JahRyl I haven’t heard nor received anything from them yet and the error is still very present. Can you tell me more about the infopass stuff?

Same with me. I just didn’t bother to check it anyway.

I will be having my appointment on Apr25 and will update you.

Hi All! March filer here, hoping someone here has gone through rescheduling their biometrics appointment - received husband's biometrics appointment letter today, but OF COURSE it is scheduled for the one day he can't actually make it (he will be out of town for a family thing) - the letter says to mail the notice back if we want to reschedule, back to Virginia, but I am worried this will seriously delay his case... I have seen some posts online about just showing up at a different time, any ideas if this is acceptable? Or should we just send the notice back to reschedule...(we are in southern California, not sure if location makes a difference)

    thank you!

    Hi!

I did ny biometrics 1 week before the schedule and they allowed me without questions asked.

Maybe you can try to have his on an earlier date as well.
