Check out https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FcItCasVItCDsUNEbDu15IRQ-AbDMRJWsiljwtz5WRI/ to see other users from this thread tracking their dates (and add yours if it's not already there).
Might not explicitly answer your question, but might help you track your activity with those who filed around you.
Years ago, you might have been able to speed up the process with a walk-in for biometrics, but not anymore. I'd take any date range you do find now with a large grain of salt; things are so variable right now I would not be comfortable planning any international travel within at least a year of applying.

Just saw a notice of interview in the documents tab. Did not receive any email/text notification. The notice is dated July 08th and interview is on August 9th in Tukwila office.

A (slightly selfish) reminder for folks to continue updating the google sheet at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FcItCasVItCDsUNEbDu15IRQ-AbDMRJWsiljwtz5WRI/edit#gid=1497976778 - it's been crucial in keeping my anxiety at bay seeing the rows get updated over time.
I'm close now, I can feel it!

leethompson got a reaction from Duncan21 in N-400 June 2020 Filers
Have a USCIS letter arriving today (thank you USPS Informed Delivery), so I logged on to myUSCIS. Nothing obvious had changed, but on checking the 'Documents' tab for my naturalization application, I saw a new letter dated 12/14/2020.
'Biometric Reuse'
Body of the letter is as follows:
U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has received your form and is currently processing your application, petition, or request. This notice informs you that USCIS is able to reuse your previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics. USCIS will run the same security checks and use your biometric data as in the past, however, it is not necessary for you to appear at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) for a biometrics appointment. The biometrics fee will not be refunded.
USCIS is continuing to process your application, petition, or request. USCIS will contact you in writing if any additional information is necessary to resolve your case.
So, I am appreciative that they can (a) reuse my relatively recent biometrics (last year), (b) I won't have to go back to the service center until my interview, and (c) made it super clear that they are actually reusing - I know there was some confusion on some of the threads here on whether this was happening. Still not on track to have an interview until late summer 2021, but this at least helps.
Happy holidays everyone!

Will this not just create another place where information might be shared (and possibly split up info across even more locations to check)? Seems redundant to me.

Just added mine! (still waiting on biometrics appointment based on a June 2020 filing)

A quick update from me: My I751 status moved to "New Card being produced" this morning!

Biometrics appt - 11/15/2019

Good luck everyone. See you in N400 thread (and oh, boy, filing N400 in Seattle is going to be fun judging by that thread!)

Yep - just searched 100 cases either side of mine and filtered by i-751 using the USCIS Case Tracker App

Nothing from me yet, despite our timelines being very similar. I adjusted from VWP, not a K-1, so I expect I'll have to interview again. Other I-751 Cases around my number still seem to be stuck on the 'fingerprint received' status in Nebraska (LIN).
🤷♂️

It's been 105 days since my biometrics appointment, and at this point as a LIN filer, I'm just getting prepped for filing my N400 this summer.
I fully expect not to receive my 10-year card at all, and just go straight to citizenship at this point.
And a combo interview will likely be (long) after the election at this rate, so I don't even get to participate this time around. 😫

Back here again after a couple of years of fun times in Seattle
Filed on 6/19 (to Arizona), got the relevant text messages 6/27, check cashed 6/27. NOA1 date is 6/26, received on 6/29.
And I have a LIN (Nebraska) case number.

Had our AoS interview this morning at 07:30. We were probably the first one scheduled for the day. The process took about 10-15 minutes. We had submitted everything with regards to finances, medical, etc. with our AoS package back in December.
The interview was initiated by the immigration officer making us take an oath that we would speak the truth. She then looked at my passport (did not look at my USCs passport), and our driver's licenses that showed we lived at the same address. She went through and confirmed my birthday, current address, and I-485 yes/no questions. She asked the both of us individually if 1) anyone else had filed a AoS petition on behalf of/for before, 2) if we had been married before, and 3) if we had kids. She then asked us to briefly state how we met, where and when. etc.
Next, she asked if we had met each other's families and who was in attendance at our court wedding. My USC spouse took out a photo from the photo album we had brought to show her that his family was in attendance at our courthouse wedding. She asked to keep the picture. Next, she asked if we had any other proof of our shared finances, agreements, etc. I took out the copies of our shared bank account, phone plan, and car insurance and handed them to her. We had submitted probably what was more than necessary with our AoS package because every item she asked to see today, we had already submitted with our AoS package. We were definitely overprepared with 2-3 folders of original documents and copies, and about 100 pictures but it is better to be overprepared than under.
All in all, we were in and out in about 15 minutes and she told us to expect the card in the mail in 1-2 months, as they cannot guarantee the speed of the USPS delivery. I'm just hoping it's sooner than that because we have a trip planned for Christmas.
Please let me know if anyone has any questions about our experience. All the best to the ones interviewing soon and waiting.

leethompson reacted to JFH in AOS on Visa waiver program
OP, I know you will hear many people say "we all had to wait" and you're probably thinking it doesn't help much. But I promise you, as someone who has been through the CR-1 and survived it, that it's not as bad as it seems. I have been in the situation you are in today. Many, many times. I have cried all the way home. I have even been physically sick on the way home because I couldn't bear to leave my husband. I experienced true grief, as if someone close to me had died, during the separation. I understand you love your husband deeply. I know you can't bear to be apart. I promise I do not love my husband any less than you love yours. So I know how you feel.
I was very tempted to stay and AOS on many occasions. We even turned back on the way to the airport once because I couldn't face getting on the plane (but I did). I felt I would have to be carried onto the plane because I was so distraught I could barely function. Going home seemed so bleak.
However, I'm so glad I persevered with the CR-1. That feeling of getting my visa and then coming here and being a permanent resident immediately on arrival, knowing that I didn't have to hope that AOS would t be denied, knowing that I could work right away and we would be financially sound, knowing that I had status here... I just can't describe it in words. I kept busy at home while I waited. I broke the time up into small chunks and visited on the VWP a few times. I took time to have fun with friends who I won't be able to see for a long time, elderly family members who may even be dead before I can come back to visit again. I drove around England and filled my mind with beautiful memories of a wonderful country. I ate more cadburys than I can remember. I went to Paris for a few days with friends and had a blast. I basically had a 10-month farewell party. Yes, there were sad moments. But once the process had started I could see light at the end of the tunnel. Friends were very supportive in getting me through it and so was this forum. I actually got a buzz from knowing that once the process started every day was another day closer to being together forever.
It it really isn't as bad as you're thinking. It probably doesn't seem like that now but please believe me. I've done it.

leethompson got a reaction from Mr Geminian in Applying for jobs while waiting for I-765 documents to be produced after approval
I did exactly that, too. I started job-hunting about a month before I was due to get the card (based on the projections from my timeline here), and if I had any responses to applications I was sure to tell them I'd have the paperwork in order within the month. Then it became "I'll have the card in-hand by next week", and when I actually had the interview for the job I now have, the card arrived in my mailbox the day of the interview (not that I needed it until my starting day some 3 weeks later, though).
Some recruiters aren't always familiar with the EAD, I found. You may need to be prepared to explain it to one or two folks (although most HR teams who've hired staff from around the world will be more knowledgeable).

Had my interview today, and and and.... It's APPROVED. They approved our case and the status changed to New Card being Produced even before we reached home. Interview went well and the interviewer was really professional and easy going she asked for our marriage documents, latest tax returns, and Life insurance policies which we didn't have it at that moment but she as okay with it and said it's fine no problem. She asked us just the basic question. So relieved to get done with this. Thanks to everyone on this forum all those key information really helped us a lot. Good luck to everyone.

Hi, yes I did. I received the EAD/AP combo back in April.
I have just been browsing and keeping an eye on the thread since we filed for AoS, so I never ended up filling out my timeline. I will try to do it sooner than later, so other people can get an idea, as well.
We will wait until the end of this month or until the next update, and hopefully we will have an interview date soon.
Thanks so much!

Aha, I thought you got the good news via your case status. Yes just like you say it's very unreliable. But the important thing is that you got the letter at least, for some people it's the other way around that's much worse.
Congrats to moving forward btw! It's such a nice feeling to finally have a date, it's relaxing somehow.

Oh yes - I realised I didn't specify that it came through the mail in written form!
Thank you! It's exciting and relaxing at the same time - it's very strange! But both me and my husband are glad things are moving along (visibly) now

Based on the latest data for the Seattle office, they've processed around 22 days of cases over a 30 calendar day period.
Which puts December filers in the 'we'll get to you in late September' bucket.
(The previous data set I had recorded in my notebook showed they processed around 15 days of cases over a 30 day calendar period).
This makes me a little sad because it's further out than I'd like, but this really is napkin-scribble maths at this point.
We know these data points are delayed, not necessarily accurate, and cases are unlikely to be handled purely chronologically.
So for all I know I could get an interview request next week.
But I doubt it.
