So got my social security in the mail yesterday...that was an unexoected surprise!!!!! And today Ead combo card came....advance parole was never updated on the site....yet here the approval is.....hang in there folks!

For retail job. I think it depends on the company and the position you applied for. When I went to applied the job that I have right now, I brought my resume, education certificate etv. Surprisingly the company didn't ask for all of those documents I brought. I just needs to fill up the forms online, fill the training game, pass the drug test. That's all. I think you just need to try to apply the job you wish. Because I feel here in the US, applying job is very simple compared to my experience in Asia.

Wow. We have the same situation! My husband works from home too! So from March 1 this year, we were together all day and all night. ❤❤❤ It's gonna be strange because my work will be 12 hours per day, 3 times a week. I'm a nurse so I'm really gonna be busy. But at least I still have 4 days left each week for family! And btw, I need to relocate to Austin TX for this position because I really could not get an interview in my area (Dallas). Good thing he can ask for a transfer there because they have an office there too. He's very supportive about the move. After months of waiting for the uncertain, suddenly everything falls into place!

I’m going to call on Monday. I have a job interview on Tuesday for an early November start date. I need things to start moving! Yes, ranting on here really does help. 😠

Finally, after 169 days (5.5 months) of waiting for my EAD, the status changed to "New Card Is Being Produced"!

Filed I-485 in California but now living in Texas

I totally relate! My husband got his EAD about a week and a half ago and immediately started filling out applications. He has four interviews, two which he just went on. He just got a job offer but is waiting to finish other interviews before he makes a decision about which one to take. It is actually making me SO sad! I started working online from home when he moved here so we could be together during this time. We spend all day and night together and I'm secretly really sad to see him go to work....even though I love and support him wanting to be an independent person. It is just SUCH a change going from living on opposite sides of the world, to being with him 24/7 since April and it was really nice. Oh well...back to the real world!!

I got my EAD 4 days after I received the notification! Two days after that, I had two phone interviews and I got two job offers the same day! I'm so glad that I'll be able to work now after a 7-month hiatus here in the US. Now I'm gonna miss my husband for sure when I start working. Hahaha Good luck @JloveN 💙💙💙 

After 155 days.. my EAD status changed to "New Card is Being Produced" 
 
So happy finally!! the universe heard me!! lol!!

My received date was April 5 and I just got it. So you have time to wait, at least 2 weeks 🤷🏻‍♀️ Be patient, it should come this month or beginning of the next one.

Sigh !!!! Just looked online and saw request for initial evidence was mailed.. for adjustment of status. 
 
 
Well that REALLY ruins my day.  

Just got email notif that EAD card was mailed.....wooohoooo

We just got a notification yesterday our card is being made then will get mailed to us. I had all about given up then this  Hold in there.

I called last week to expedite but the tier 1 officer made a mistake. Instead of filing Expedite processing, she only did an inquiry on how to expedite so i spoke with the Tier 2 officer and she created the expedite request for me on Monday.
 
Now I don’t have a job offer to support my expedite processing that’s completed today - and I didn’t get an email from them either.
 
This waiting for EAD thing is insane and causing me so much stress. I hope they work on EAD faster because of the repercussions. Imagine being unemployed for 5 months... 😔

Guess coming and venting on this site sets things in motion in the universe....just got the email my eap.card is being produced! Yesssssssssss....it was also updated on uscis ...thank u god....

And yesterday evening (same day!) I was sitting on the bench and decided to check my status and Oh My God!!!!! It was approved! 😍  🤸‍♀️

Congratulations!. Yes it feels relief when we get notified EAD approved and get a job offer. I think it depends on location. I got the real EAD card a week after the notification on email. But some people got it after two weeks of notification.

Yes there's NO Interview at all. Only complete the online forms and fill up the games test (matching box games and very basic counting). It's not sales position. It's like personal shopper. And I'm so happy with it because one of my hobby is shopping. Lol

Hi @Tomalley, just want to share my experience. I was worried and a bit nervous too when applying job. I was afraid my English is not good enough. A week after I got EAD card I decided to just apply a job in person. I search on online post about the store or company who needs to hire employees in person (because I can understand English better  when I talk in person rather than talk on the phone). I found one on Craigtlist. It's at the biggest online retail company. I came to their place. Surprisingly, there's NO interview at all. When I came, they only asked me to complete their online forms, they borrow me the laptop to complete the forms, complete the drug test, and seeing the video about the company, the benefits and what we will do later on that position. And then, they take our picture for identity card just in case they hire us. Before we left the room, the HR person told us to wait for 5 days for the next info. It's said if we get email, that's mean they hire us. If not, then we don't get that job. Fortunately, I got the email and complete what they ask on email. After that, I watch the online training program for 1 hour 30 minutes (this is also be paid). Then just follow their instruction to come on training schedule.  
 
I am just so happy and lucky enough to get a job only 2 weeks after I got my EAD card and it's at big company. I hope you also find the good one. If you feel worried with your English, i think it might be better to apply in person. This also can help you to communicate better.

After finally getting my hands on my EAD yesterday, I've just had an interview scheduled for my AOS! Office is Albany, NY, and I'm adjusting from K1. NOA1 is April 20th.
 
Can anybody with experience tell me how long it usually takes to receive an interview notice?
