oatlidorison got a reaction from Cheddar Cheeze in Port of Entry Date on I-94 is Different than Passport Stamp
You should be fine. My wife also had different dates on her I-94 and passport stamp. Never had any issues getting SSN, and even at our GC interview the IO never asked about this.

oatlidorison reacted to Crazy Cat in time limit to file for adjustment of status after K1?
For whatever reason, this is a great example of why couples should apply for AOS before the I-94 expires..............this question of AOS time limit pops up a few times a month around here.

So here are my check lists for the different forms. As you'll see, I only sent my birth certificate for the main AOS application, and I didn't send any originals, always copies, as advised.

Hi guys...
sorry for those who somehow got stuck in the process. We had something similar, had to rise an electronic inquire and also (in parallel) the congressional, this last one wasn't needed since after the electronic inquire they reply with the NoA2.
I had yesterday the appointment at the US consulate and we got approved!
Good luck to everyone!

@Mike & Tuyen and @Keith & Monica POE Countdown 11 and 10 days respectively So happy for your POE just around the corner.
@spike198 FLL is a good POE It's my home airport and I've always found them to be very professional. So happy u have a date and something solid to look forward to.
.........................
We've been so busy since POE. We did the SSN - the guy at SSA totally understood why we needed the SSN and blurted out his explanation of why it was necessary to get it now. Very technical and I just said 'yeah...... right!' lol Waiting for it in the mail now. Went to the courthouse and got our marriage license today. Ann has a K1 visa in her passport that shows I'm hers, and I got the receipt from the courthouse today likewise! Wedding is next Saturday. The other day we picked out the spot for our wedding on the beach. Found a patch of sand with some palm trees to decorate and make the perfect spot to do the ceremony. Just a bit up the beach is Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville Resort. Since we are doing the ceremony at sunrise, we setup a breakfast reception. I have family flying in and friends joining us; and for our family on the other side of the world, we are going to fb live it for them. So for a POE that is just hours from being a week old, we've made some really good progress

Visa issued yesterday. Flight booked and he'll be arriving on the 21st, just in time for thanksgiving. POE is Ft. Lauderdale. Anyone else use this airport for POE? I've used it when I visited him and it was fine. We will be getting married December 1. The reason we are doing it so quickly is because we want to have our reception in Jamaica on 4/25 so we need as much time to get the paperwork done as possible. I've read lots about next steps but I'm a bit confused by some of it. Knowing that we need to travel, what should we do first?

Hello everyone
So yesterday I went for my interview in London and got APPROVED!! So happy I couldn't believe how straightforward it was!! I was there for 45 minutes in total from arriving at the tent outside.
Thank you to everyone for the good luck wishes, really appreciate them

oatlidorison reacted to Estibaliz in I129F April 2017 filers -Part 2
Well, there's different reasons why you might want to get a SSN and this is mi list:
1- So I can have my own bank account
2- So I can get a Utah Identification Card (also for the driving license)
3- It's also better to have it to be added at the leasing contract
Also some States require the SSN to get the marriage license, though not my case.
I'm not changing my name when getting married, so no reason to wait and save a visit for me, and the sooner I can keep moving with my adaptation process the better. Also I remember reading threads on people having some trouble trying to get the SSN after the wedding... something about being in limbo because the K1 was no longer valid but they didn't have a green card or EAD to prove status yet. I'm sure not everyone applying for the first time at that stage encountered the same problems, but just something else to consider.

You know, I have been on this thread for awhile now. I am just humbled and I marvel at how helpful everyone here is to the people that they do not know from anything. We all have 1 thing in common, we are trying to either get the one we love to us or get to the one we love. I find it completely amazing how much love, understanding and help we can provide to complete strangers in a time of need.
I personally want to thank everyone on this site that has helped myself or anyone else. You are all wonderful people. I hope everyone gets what they want out of this. Congratulations to everyone.

First of all, congratulations! I think we basically have the same situation cuz I went to school here in the PH too but I wasn;t able to graduate. But anyway, I guess this is a good proof that it's a good idea to accompany my fiance on his interview lol It feels very exciting! Congratulations again! :-) :-) :-)

I'll wish you luck on your interview Monday but you won't need it. You are going to be fine. Nothing to actually be anxious about because all you have to do is tell the story you and your fiance have lived. Just like S*UK says, Smile and answer the questions based on your experience with your Fiance. You already know all the answers to any question they may ask.
I'll be looking for your good news after interview
..................
I'll have to write a review for Newark POE here in VJ because the officers there made my fiance feel like a VIP the whole experience from start to finish. They directed her to the first line and welcomed her to the USA, kidded around with her, asked when she was getting married then retorted with a big cheesy smile 'How will I know if you actually get married?' Congratulated her for arriving safely, asked her where she was going to live in the US and said 'Oh! You are going to love it there!'. Escorted her to the secondary room, took her envelope to the desk for her and offered her a seat in the waiting area. In 2 to 3 minutes she heard 'chunk, chunk' stamps and her name called and they handed her passport and again congratulated her and pointed the way out to the terminal for the connecting flight. Lickity split and all the smiles and congratulations and friendly treatment on top. I am so thankful for the courtesy of the CBP officers and staff for taking such good care of my Fiancee To make it all the better........ They didn't scribble ANYTHING or stamp on the K1 visa! It is still in new condition. They stamped on the next page and initialed. We worked and sacrificed like nothing else in our lives to get this to come to pass. All the blood, sweat, tears, hours of working in the tropical heat doing construction jobs on days I wasn't working at the hospital, all of this over many many months, came down to a little sticker in a passport that means the world to the 2 of us.
Today we went to church together, this time on THIS side of the world. Yeah, this is what it all was for, and so worth it...... Welcome to Miami, ANN!
