I was in the exact same position as you, got green card way before EAD. I wouldn't go to SSA just to ask about the card you applied for with on the I-765. They likely have no idea yet, since your I-765 hasn't been approved. Just go to SSA with your completed application for a social security card (SS-5), along with the required evidence and your new green card and apply.
Okay I'll do this. Thanks for the advice.

Hi guys, I luckily managed to get my green card super early. My only issue is I don't have a SSN as I applied for it with the i765.
I'm going to go down to the SSN office and ask them about it. So I'll keep this updated for anyone in the same boat. I was just hoping that someone else will have had this experience so they can share what happened with them.
Thanks very much Declan

After a long month I finally have the visa in hand.
All I expect the delay was, was me being put to the back of the line after my medical not being there on the day. They will get to it eventually and as soon as they do the process takes a few days at most, I booked my flight before getting the visa (this isn't advised) but I managed to get it when they said they would deliver it (today) and everything is good.
So I'm on my way Jan 4th, thanks for all the help in this forum!

Mine changed to issued today.
Very nice, I'm just waiting on the delivery email now. First workday back for them

Congrats! Things should hopefully move quickly for you now.
Can't help the worrying but I'm glad it was all in my head

The W2 was actually the only thing they took from me

Just to confirm, the Embassy emailed to say that they received my medical today and that my case is now under review with the consular officer, which is 9 working days after I attended my medical appointment. CEAC hasn't changed yet, except for a touch when whoever received the email pulled up my case.
When I got an email to confirm they received my medical case they never specifically said it was now under review with a consular officer. Just that I can expect to be contacted once processing is complete.
It's so strange to me

Nothing yesterday and nothing so far today.
-
I've heard others haven't gotten it before. My case just seems in limbo so I'm looking for everything
-
I don't get why you get the 221(g) but I don't for the exact same thing, I even had my medical on a Thursday 11 days before my interview on a Monday.
Just wondering because my case is in a perpetual state or "ready"

Any response to your email today? Still no movement in my case. 😕
Had a recent update today with no email response. Could be them looking at my case due to the email and not replying though which I think has happened before. I'm hoping it's more them finally getting onto it though.

My guess for her took into consideration a medical one day before interview. Maybe you had some space built in between the two.
I think just knowing that they put less priority into cases without the medical present on interview day is something to consider in my personal case.

then my estimate is Visa back to him about 4 weeks later. (They won't jump back to his case the day it gets delivered because he got out of the process flow)
This is basically all I've been looking for to explain my complete lack of updates
-
Having ready with bare updates is just annoying. But spending months in AP is something else.

I know the feeling, just hoping the process starts shifting on Monday. Seeing other people with this problem and getting resolved before me is strange to say the least, especially when they were interviewed after our interview date. Feeling pretty hopeless in this whole situation!
It's hard not to feel useless when the Embassy makes it impossible to get information and gives the most bare possible updates
-
Mines still on ready, creation date not changed, says immigrant at the top with barely any updates.
Been stuck on this for 14 working days and the embassy's refuse to give any reason as to why.
We're stuck waiting, we're probably in a backlog

No update for me either mate. Embassy closes at 5.30pm so have a few hours at least for something to shift. Not sure if CEAC status's change after the embassy closes / on weekends?
Thanks for your response to my previous post also. Not only did we have our interview the same day but also our medical! They must be unlucky dates 😐
Not holding out hope. Ceac status won't change during the weekends or when they're closed so it's another weekend of waiting.
Next week I'm off work completely, just need to fill my time with something now.

No updates since the 11th, was hoping there'd be one today. This is killing me, last day of work at least
So I just got my green card but no EAD or SSN yet, can I go to a SSN office to get my SSN

I applied mid March. I'm going to update my time line now that I have everything in order.
