My Medical went great. About 2 hours. Lots of that spent waiting. After that Mum and I walked around and checked out where I go for my interview. We are now back at our Airbnb apartment. Getting up at 5:30am our old time two days in a row is taxing lol but now we can sleep in some since I don’t have to do anything until my interview on the 11th. Good luck to my fellow Canadians who interview tomorrow.

Best to go with the most recent one. I've noticed that quite a few people have gotten their petitions rejected because they didn't send in the most recent application even though the other one hasn't expired yet.

There is no "proof" of being engaged as it's not a legal status (whereby there is proof of marriage of divorce as these are legal statuses). Many couples don't "get engaged". We didn't. We just agreed over the course of time that we loved each other very much and we wanted to spend our lives together. No ring. No party. No celebration. We didn't need that. They will not ask for "proof" of engagement. What proof could one provide? Nothing. A ring receipt shows you bought a ring. A selection of pictures from a party proved you had a party and someone had a camera. 
 
You must be free to marry (any previous marriages must have ended lawfully through death of the spouse or divorce) and you must prove you have met physically within the last two years prior to filing. Focus on evidence of a genuine relationship rather than the terminology of "engaged". 

Got my RFE in the mail minutes ago. Yup...they want proof that OKC is not an IMB just like I assumed. It's too late to mail out today, but I'll send out my response for Monday.

While reading this I couldn't help think of myself allowing my previous marriage to implode while sitting back and doing nothing.  Like watching a slow-motion train-wreck.  I was the guy that slept apart from her because she failed me in some way.  It continued for years and years while we both moved apart emotionally.  We had kids together but I felt like marriage was a huge mistake and actually thought about SC.  
 
Now looking back on it - I realize how much I contributed to the unhappy situation I was in - the one that caused me to withdraw from her and stay withdrawn.  I was too immature to accept some of the blame for our dysfunction.  I was too proud to admit my actions contributed to her feelings.  I wanted more from her but did nothing to foster a good relationship or repair the damage done.
 
I'm assuming u married for love and were sincere when you started this journey.  So my advice is simply this:  drop everything.  Nothing is more important than her.  Job, money, house.  I mean it, nothing.  Suck it up and make her #1 again.  If that means you have to swallow your pride and be #2 that's just fine.  She needs you now more than ever.  You still have her.  You're really lucky and blessed you found that note.   And she's lucky to have a guy that cares enough to do more than I did.

Agreed. I can only imagine he treats her like he feels and that has systematically led to the detriment of her self confidence and security. She may have already had these feelings in Russia and hoped OP could help her become a better person. But instead she is now worse and feels completely hopeless.

If you don't fix the issues at home, there's no point of her going to Russia to "unwind" only to come back home to you behaving like you. It's like having a house that's slowly burning and going "You know what, let's go off to the beach because I don't want to deal with this", have a great week at the beach and then come home to a house that's still on fire. It's  the whole "take a vacation from reality" concept, it's nice when you think that you can have a break, but it's even worse when you drop back down to earth

While some people feel that depression can just be fixed by circumstances, depression going -THAT- far isn't as simple as taking a break. 

Just from this thread alone, you've shown your disdain for her not driving, you've believed that she's careless (which yeah, depression), you can't believe she turned out this way, you think she should just go off and unwind.




I think the problem that a lot of us in this thread are having is that even without you straight up saying it, it seems like you blame her for doing this. It seems like you blame her for why both of your lives isn't easier because she doesn't drive, that you blame her because you care about her yet she hurts herself, that you blame her for becoming something you never imagined.

If that's so implied in the thread, regardless of your real feelings, what are your text conversations like when you're in the same house but don't see each other face to face? How do YOU make HER feel in the home she shares with you?



You may understand that she's depressed but you may not realize you don't understand how deeply depressed she is, or how dangerous depression actually is.

It's been a while since I posted glad to see Geo, Art, Vogann, and others are more than holding the fort down.
 
Just loving it here in the Philippines.
Well today is Day 107 since NOA 1.
3 day weekend which means no processing on Mondy
 
Noon here so I ran the USCIS app.
I show only 8 cases left out of over 350
from 10/31 receipt date.
 
 Petition Approved 
 
15 weeks and 2 days for our NOA 2
 
Congrats to all the recent approvals and NVC activity.
 
We already have an appointment for CFO next week which is specific to Philippines.
 
Hang on for others still waiting doubtful you will have to wait 107 days.

Sorry to read that you received an RFE...but looks like you have everything all handled in that department.

Nearly every new member on VJ owes you a huge thank you.  Your updates as well as advice on other forum posts are awesome.

To update everyone. After a month from NOA2, Instructions was received 7th March (exactly one month) and now gathering all needed documents for interview. No interview date yet but hopefully will have it soon.
 
I hope most of Nov filers have gotten their approvals already and god bless to everyone!
Excited for the next coming weeks - getting closer to see my fiancee again!

Late reply here; I just got back in the states a few days ago. Many grats to you. You went through a lot to see so many pass before you and still be so helpful. I hope your recent trip is/was great.

It is the IPHONE version. the app logo is a flag with vertical stripes and the eagle/red/white blue.
Just search USCIS case tracker in the app store.
Android has one to but it is different.

I started the November I-129F K-1 thread but wanted to let you guys know some very good information.
As you know CSC has been all but dead for the entire month.
 
Well we had a total of 34 approvals today alone for cases received by CSC on 10/31
Seems like they may finally be working again tomorrow (Friday night) should give us a better idea if they will start a trend.
I'm currently at 70 plus days. People who filed 1 week before me were approved on average in 30 days then CSC just STOPPED with very little progress.
Yes the holidays had some affect but new years was over 11 days ago.
 
Anyway hang on there guys and keep collecting your NOA 1's 
Update your time lines with the "notice date" which is the date on the upper right hand corner of the NOA 1 hard copy once you get it.

Other good thing is no new RFE's
