Just received my oath ceremony date (was uploaded into the documents tab one day after the interview), it's a little over 2 weeks away at a courthouse (I requested a name change).
Does anyone know how long it takes to get a passport afterwards if you do expedited? Is it really 4-6 weeks as stated on the website?

Just had my interview at the Boston office. It went well and my case was recommended for approval. I arrived way before the appointment time, like 40 minutes prior, but noone checked and I was able to wait inside.
The officer was very nice and he just asked me about my application, the standard yes/no questions and 6 civics questions. I also had to write a sentence and read a sentence out.
I had trouble hearing him with his mask on! I had to ask him to repeat almost everything, it was pretty embarrassing!
He did not ask to see any additional documents nor the originals of what I had submitted earlier (thank god, because we lost my husband's birth certificate!)
Overall, it was a pleasant and smooth experience. Just checked online and it says my Oath will be scheduled, so hopefully that will be soon. I have also asked for a name change.
    Good luck to everyone!

Got approved! Took a little over 6 weeks from them receiving the application and just over 7 weeks since I applied at a local USPS office.

I filed routine process as I don't have any travel plan in near future. I let them take as long as they need.
I also see some people who filed routine process first then expedited it later, which did speed up the process.

I applied for passport at USPS on 11/19 and showed up on the web tracker on 11/24. I paid for expedited service and still haven’t received my passport (6 weeks of processing today). I am showing “in process.” I tried calling the customer service number but am told “in process.” Anybody else in a similar situation ?

I believe processing center is “Western” in AZ as I live in Cali

I just checked the agency opening status. Boston agency entered phase 1 on Dec 7, there might be a long queue of applications. I would guess your application is with them.

Status: Phase One on December 7

Oh, yes! You are right. Congratulations on passing your interview, btw!

I am going to bring my boyfriend with me because he is my ride to Boston, but I have a feeling they will make him wait in the lobby. It seems like most people here in the forums had their ceremony in the federal building, so I don't really know what the process at the courthouse will be like.

Mine is at the courthouse too, even if I didn't request a name change. When is your ceremony scheduled? Mine is on the 19th.

I’m waiting for my passport , expedited
but hopefully it will be really expedited 😆😆

agencies reopened back on Aug Sep and people it looks like they are working better than couple months ago . Because some people reported that they waited for 5 months 6 months when they applied at the pandemic surge period ( when passport agencies around the country locked down ) .
So no hopefully it will take 3-5 weeks as I’ve watching some posts from passport applicants

    congratulations again

I completed my interview this morning. Here is my experience.

My interviewer was very nice and put me at ease right away. We started with reading and writing. I read out the phrase “What do we pay the government?” And I wrote down the answer “We pay taxes”.

    These were the civics/history questions:
    - What is the supreme law of the land?
    - Who vetoes bills?
    - Who is the father of the nation?
    - What is one right reserved just for US citizens?
    - Who is your representative?
    - What month are the elections held? (I said November and that they were being held today, and at this point the interviewer laughed.)
I got 6 correct and she said I passed.

Then we went through my application. She confirmed some information like how I got my green card, my employment, my new address, my trips outside of the country, and then asked most of the yes/no questions.

Then I signed two papers, one to confirm corrections/updates and the other to certify that I will say the oath.

Just have to wait for the oath ceremony to be scheduled and I am done! Thank you to everyone here who answered my questions. And best of luck to everybody waiting for their interview!

Sharing my N-400 journey, filed through spouse 3 year rule.

    July 2019 = Applied N-400 online
    Aug 2019= Biometrics
Mar 2020= scheduled for interview in Apr, canceled interview due to covid.
late Sept 2020 = re-schedule notice received for interview 4 weeks later. [on the same day, my I-751 was approved also in the system after 28 months...]
late Oct 2020 = Interview , passed (approval received online next day), oath notice received after few days post-interview for ~2 weeks later.

Interview Process - JFK building. Spouse came with me to the interview and waited in lobby area (nobody really checked or asked).
Appointment was for 12:30, called in at 1. Came out 17 minutes later (spouse timed it!)
Interview Itself = asked if spouse was citizen and whether by birth or naturalization. Moved onto reading/writing/civics questions. Civics questions were the easy kind and not the hard ones to remember (like all those people names and such). [but I had studied and memorized it anyway]. Moved onto reviewing application (yes/no). Asked about current job and where I traveled (we had a bunch of out of country trips since we like to travel). And lastly, was told I am recommended for approval and should get oath notice by 6 weeks. I was not asked to show any documentation during interview even though I took a ton of things.
What I took to interview: 2019 taxes, evidence of recent trip after application out of country, recent joint evidences like bank statements, electric bills,  car bills, etc, some photos, documents from my N-400.

I am so happy to see movement in the Boston offices lately as it felt like a standstill at some point! Good luck to everyone.

Finally I’m American citizen ... I came to this great country with a diversity visa green card lottery program
I took my oath on 10/29 and it was very smooth process . We were 16 people total with the officer .
I had my interview 3 weeks ago and it was fast too . The officer was so amazing
we started with a conversation about the weather and about medicine when she knew I’m a doctor . That start was very stress relieving
Then she started with 6 questions ( all correct )
    1. Who is my representative?
    2. who is Vice President ?
    3. What the constitute do ?
    4. when was the independence?
    5. US holidays ?
    6. How many voting members of House of Representatives ?

then English writing . Reading ( the president lives in the White House )

then we went through the application

thank you for everyone who shared his experience in this post ( I create it 😆)

congratulations for everyone who finished the process and my best wishes to everyone who still waiting and just be patient during this hard time !

Just completed my N-400 interview at Boston JFK building last week (will share experience in different post). Per my interview letter, I had to bring my spouses naturalization certificate, marriage certificate and all docs submitted with N-400. .... However, Interviewer never asked for the original of anything (or any document whatsoever) during the interview. He just asked if I was married to citizen and whether the spouse was by birth or naturalization. I am hoping your case will be the same since your spouse was already a citizen by birth...
