Hi all.. just thought I'd say hi and spread the good news.. my green card was approved yesterday (!!) - I still can't believe it went through this quickly, and without any interview! I only filed for AOS at the end of March, so they were definitely making up for lost time!

Da bist du mir ja nur ein paar Wochen voraus, ich bin seit März in den USA und wir haben auch gleich ein paar Tage nach meiner Einreise geheiratet.
 
Wir wohnen zwar in Florida, fahren aber am Freitag bis Samstag nach Atlanta..!

Congrats to all who have received USCIS or NVC updates! I arrived here in the US 2 weeks ago, got married, updated my SSN and filed for AOS already. I cannot wait to put all the paperwork behind me for a while!

Dankeschön!!! Heute waren wir am Gericht und haben erstmal geheiratet Fühlt sich irgendwie seltsam an, aber wir sind super happy!!! An den AOS Dokumenten arbeiten wir auch schon...
 
Das mit dem Fahhrad war gar nicht schlimm (bis auf die Schlepperei durch den Zoll), musste es nur am Sperrgepäckschalter in Frankfurt abgeben und habs dann auch wieder direkt am Gepäckband bekommen. Lufthansa hat auch super drauf aufgepasst, da ist nichts verrutscht, zerkratzt oder kaputt gegangen!! Auf jeden Fall war das die 100 Euro extra wert.
 
Leider hat mich gleich nach der Ankunft eine böse Erkältung heimgesucht.. kein Wunder nach dem Stress der letzten Wochen. Aber bald gehts ab in die Flitterwochen
 
Zu den Medicals wollte ich noch sagen, dass ich die Preise auch sehr heftig fand.. vor allem, weil sich ja wirklich so gar niemand für die schönen Röntgenfotos interessiert...

I just received my e-mail update and was able to schedule my visa appointment for next Wednesday, Feb 22!

Von dem Moment an als du geheiratet hast, wäre keine deutsche (Reise-)Versicherung mehr gültig gewesen entseidenn du hättest Absichten gehabt zurück nach Deutschland zu kommen. 
Hol dir jetzt sofort ne amerikanische Versicherung und es ist okay. Du hattest somit 2 Monate keine Versicherung und das wird entschuldigt und du musst keine Strafe zahlen.

We just got a case update,it now shows issued ! we are very excited,hope they mail it out soon.

Congrats on the interview. We had ours on the 8th also and are now waiting for the courier. I am having an issue with the ceac website. None of the clickable boxes work (I've used Chrome/IE/Safari) and the document delivery instructions box is not populated. Her appointment history shows "scheduled". Her appointment confirmation did have the document delivery information correct with her home address. Anyone have similar issues? I was able to send an email to the contractor that manages the website but that might be a gamble at best. I imagine the best thing to do would be to call the Embassy on Monday to confirm they have the correct information. 

good news all around it seems! I received packet 3 today... had an inkling things were going to move fast and went ahead for my medical this past tuesday. all set to send off the K1 file tomorrow.. fingers crossed I can get my interview over with asap!!

Ui wie lieb das du dran gedacht hast  Eeeh also so richtig realisier ich das noch so gar nicht. Glaube das mir das am Dienstag alles sehr surreal vorkommen wird. Fands schon merkwürdig meinen Freund manchmal als Verlobten zu bezeichnen und nun wird es mein Mann ?
Wie erging es euch? 
Trägst du jetzt eigentlich zwei Ringe? 
 
Wir bekommen nächstes Jahr für die große Hochzeit die Eheringe seiner Familie und irgendwie hatten wir nie so recht dran gedacht, dass wir für Dienstag nun keine Ringe zum Austauschen haben... deswegen werden wir kurzfristig Samstag zu nem preiswerten Juwelier zockeln und für hoffentlich wenig Geld "wedding bands" kaufen. Eigentlich wollte mein Freund keine holen, weil er der Meinung ist,dass die teuren Ringe, die wir nächstes Jahr bekommen genug sind, aber ich finde das etwas lahm... zumal ich dann bloß mit nem Verlobungsring rumrenne und er mit gar keinem. Toi toi toi das wir Samstag was passendes und bezahlbares finden. ?
