It all depends on your local office.  We filed May 2, 2020 and our case was assigned to MSC, we were called for biometrics appointment in December, 2020 and received an email March 10, 2021 (yesterday) saying we would be scheduled for an interview and another on March 11, 2021 (today) saying we have been scheduled for an interview (which means that in our office, New Hampshire, there is no wait to be scheduled):  On March 11, 2021, we scheduled an interview for your Form I751, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS ON RESIDENCE, Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXXXX. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice.  I don't think there's a way to know when it was scheduled for until the letter arrives in the mail.

Hi. The day before yesterday I received my Notice. I has been scheduled on April 1 for my interview. So about 4 weeks from notice that I was scheduled to actual date for interview was good in my mind. Now all I have to do is prepare 😉

No, n600k is not suitable if she wants to move to the US. In my understanding, the most appropriate is for her to file an immigrant visa petition via form I130 for the child. Because the child will become a citizen on arrival in the US under INA320 (assuming mom has legal custody and that child will be living with her in the US) she won’t need to file an affidavit of support (i864].
However, it’s not going to be “quick”, it’ll probably be about a year. That’s about the quickest you’ll get where US immigration is concerned, unfortunately.

As I understand she can apply for K4 and then move to US and do the I-130 from here. Or is the K-4 only for K-3’s children and doesn’t work for US citizens?

  4. We have a daughter living in sweden with her 2 year old son. She is US citizen trough her father that was born US citizen.

Now the daughter wants to move to us in US and bring her 2 year old baby with her. I have read up un the different possibilities

to her getting her son in to US and live with her.

The thing is that she has never herself lived in US. Her father (baby's grandfather) has lived her for his first 23-24 years and

now we have been here for 1,5 years.

I am not sure of what application needs to be filled in both for her to enter US with her baby, she has a US passport for her self.

But she needs to have some kind of visa for the baby. Can anyone recommend what applications need to be done and maybe in what order?

There are a little confusing that n-600k if that is a citizenship that doesn't qualify for moving and living in US for a little baby.

What is the best way for her to get here as quickly as possible. She needs her family (us).

    Thank you

I had measles, mumps and rubella as a child. I'm in my late fifties now. I'll be going to the doctor in Gothenburg. Will he take my word that I've had these illnesses or will I have to take a blood test to prove it?

That was the same thing for me. You can test for antibodies and see if you need to take a shot. But it’s cheaper to take the shot. I have figured out that vaccines are VERY important here in the US.

    Hei! :)

New to this forum, so I'm sorry if I'm asking questions that's already been answered. I just got my NOA2 (wohoo!), and I am wondering if anyone knows if I can just go ahead and book my medical now?

So glad I found this forum! :)

When you have made your medical the clock is ticking. You only have 6 month validity of the medical. If anything jams up you may have to redo the medical again. And that is costly. So I personally waited until I got the appointment letter from the embassy and booked my medical.

    Good luck to you

We finally wrote up our interview review for Stockholm embassy (it’s on our timeline) for anyone who wants to give it a look. :) we were pretty detailed so won’t bother posting it all here 😁

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I am up for interview march 19. Fortunately we already live in Stockholm, so we do not need to book a hotel. I have just one question. You mentioned your divorse certificate, that you have to present that. In our appointment letter they asked for 4 copies? Is it four copies of the certificates, or do they mean a copy of each certificate, since we both been married twice before? I am a litte confused about that one. How many copies did you present on top of the original?

Happy for you that every thing went so well.

Nice to hear that your experience at the embassy was good. That makes me feel a lot calmer.

Hey all! Just wanted to pop in and let everyone know Paul passed his interview last week! We haven’t sat down together to share a more detailed review of the experience, which we will before I leave, but I wanted to post something before then. His papers from the medical hadn’t arrived yet (he had it just the week before), but they told him everything else looked good and they just had to wait on that, so they went ahead and took his passport. We found out they received his papers on Tuesday so we’ve been checking the status of his case this week to find out when it’s been updated. So hopefully the visa will be on its way soon!!!

We’ve been super busy while I’ve been here doing so many things, mostly of course celebrating, so we haven’t had a chance to sit down and reply folks on here. We will be sharing more detail on our experience before I leave, particularly for our fellow Swedes :), and share some things we found interesting (FYI the American will not be allowed into the embassy with the beneficiary).

Thank you you all for your support! I can’t wait to sit back down at a computer and catch up on everyone’s statuses! I hope everyone is doing well and moving along ♥️♥️♥️

Locking forwards to hear all about how it went. My interview is scheduled for March 19 so it is getting closer. Good to know that the American wasn’t allowed in. Was a little unsure about that part.

Hi all! I made it to Sweden and we both made it to Stockholm this afternoon. Paul has his interview first thing in the morning - it doesn't even seem real!! Im going with him and hopefully can Wait there for him. Fingers crossed!!

Please let me know how it was. I have my interview March 19 and are a little bit nervous about that. Good luck 👍

Anyone who's already completed an interview in Stockholm before - did the USC travel with you? If so, where did they go/wait? Since Paul lives in GOT, we'll be going to Stockholm by train and staying in a hotel for a couple of nights. I know I can't actually go inside with him, so looking for ideas or places to go nearby to occupy my time while he's having the interview.

There is a nice walk not far from the ambassad. It is Djurgarden. There are some nice coffee shops there.

Our NOA2 was 12/1/17, but our case wasn't received by NVC until 1/17 (I think the delay was partially due to the holidays and people being out). Paul received his information on 1/24 and had already scheduled his medical for 2/15 since we had the case number after I called NVC on 1/18. As soon as he got his info on 1/24, he went and completed the DS160 (I think that's right :) ) and scheduled his interview for 2/22! That was actually the latest date available when he checked; they gave him the option for 2/8, 2/15, or 2/22, and since his medical isn't until the 15th, he picked the 22nd. We didn't expect the window to be so narrow, or for it to happen so quickly. My opinion - once you hit NVC, things start moving VERY quickly!

What do you think you got your time for the interview so quickly? Does it have anything to do with the kind of visa? I am a CR1.

I am starting to feel very discouraged. My scan date is December 18, and I have called everyday and it is still not in review.

I am obviously happy for everyone to be getting CC, but I see many that are after my scan date being closed. I am nervous if there may be something wrong with my case or if possibly lost.

We were married last March and were hoping to celebrate our one year anniversary together here in the states, but that doesn't look like it will be possible. It is extremely disheartening.

Are there any other scan dates around December 18th that also haven't heard anything?

Our scandate is dec 21, nothing here either 😕

To anyone worried about their DS260, DEF call and make sure that it is attached to your mailed documents. It is awful to get an officer that says, "its within the 11 weeks timeframe!" Yesterday's officer was the one that caught my issue and sent it to supervisor review. Today's officer was not at all helpful. My case is still in queue for Supervisor review because my case was not attached to my DS 260  (which was completed on Dec 5th).  I am planning on calling everyday from here on because it is annoying how their system can screw some of us. Good Luck to everyone. As for my case, I feel like we will prob be seeing a CC right at the 11 weeeks, I have just lost hope in this system. Thankfully, I will be seeing my husband in Feb and March for vacation. :) So it is what it is.

    Congrats to all those cc!
