Mountainsea! Haven't seen you on here in a while. Good to know how quickly folks are being processed (even though I know that at the embassy or consulate stage it varies from country to country) - your NOA-2 was only two weeks before ours and this gives me so much hope. Have such an excellent journey and best wishes for her interview. You both deserve the reward of that visa after this long wait!

Thanks so much. Looking forward to getting this over with. Looks like your fiancé is doing the medical the same day as our interview. Wish you all the best. Lived in London back in 92' and loved my time there. Hope you have a speedy progress to the visa!

Everyone hello! I just want to know what is the time frame you guys have to wait before u get ur NVC number? I got Approve Feb 13 and today its already march 1. Can someone tell me how long do i have to wait? Ive been calling everyday but i always get the beautiful answer of 6 weeks...hahahhaha

November filers like me..kindly answer. Thank you!

It was averaging about two weeks recently. You should get an answer soon when you call. Just saw that you have been calling. They were about to go on strike last Thursday but I have not seen any news on whether the union resolved to dispute over pay raises or not.

    Hi Guys,

Update :) My interview was last 02/23 and my visa got issued 02/24.. and just today I have my visa delivered. :):):)

According to my research visa gets delivered faster if you choose to pick them up in the 2go center in mall of asia. :)

must be true. Hope this helps.:)

    Goodluck to everyone.

    Kuting

Congrats! Thanks for the update on the time to get visa on hand.

I am flying to Manila day after tomorrow to attend my fiancées interview first of next week. Was wondering how fast they were being received at MOA.

Hi everyone. I have a question. We just received the hard copy of the NOA2 by mail.

Does the petitioner need to send this by mail to the benificiary? Does the benificiary need the original copy?

    Thanks,

    Madelle

They will not need the original for the interview, but they will need it for AOS back in the states. Just email a copy to Philippines and keep the original in the states for AOS.

Thngs I have learned since NOA2 approved in case tracker: (or 'what to do now')

    1) Ignore the information to wait a month before calling NVC.  Call them about 12 days after your NOA2 approval.  This might be before the hard copy of your NOA2 arrives.

    2) Ignore the NVC person who tells you to wait at least six weeks before calling again.  Try again the next morning. Or the evening. And the next one. And the next one.

    3) Ignore the status in the CEAC case tracker.  It is probably two days behind your case.  Your case is alreaady sitting in a pile at the Embassy by the time Fred at the NVC has fired up his Dell and typed 'In Transit'.  Gloria at the Embassy is already looking at your case number and your package  and wondering how long it is until her next tea break.

    4) Ignore the information on dhl case tracker for cases on the date that your case shows as 'in transit'. Use the DHL package tracker to track parcels going to your country but remember this won't be on the day you think it was despatched because Fred went home early to watch the hockey and your case update was still on his desk.  Then he was sick the next day - (must have been a bad beer) - and your case won't be updated on the case tracker until he is back at work and has fired up his Dell two days after your case left the NVC. By which time your case is already away on its holidays.

    5) Ignore the advice to wait for package 3/letter from the embassy to do anything else.  You can fill in your DS-160 and file it now.  In fact you could have filed it before Fred went to the hockey.

    6) Ignore the advice to wait for package 3 to schedule your medical.  You can do this with your NVC case number.

    7) Ignore the information from the clinic that says you need the letter from the embassy at your medical. You need the case number, your vaccination records, a letter from your doctor outlining major medical history, your passport style photographs, your police record.  And a very fat wallet.

    8) You should have requested your police record already. Probably around the time you got your case number and before Fred went to the hockey game.

    9) You should have requested your vaccination records and the letter from your doctor already.  The sooner the better.  But after you have had the shots you need. And you need those shots.  Or you'll need a fatter wallet. (This is UK specific - variations will apply according your country).

    10) You might be able to register online for your interview.  You might also get a big red message on the screen telling you YOUR CASE IS NOT READY!  WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? DID YOU READ ANYTHING ON THE PREVIOUS SCREENS ASKING IF YOU HAD YOUR LETTER FROM THE EMBASSY YET? NO YOU DIDN'T! GLORIA IS STILL ON HER TEA BREAK AND HASN'T EVEN WRITTEN THE LETTER YET SO WE KNOW YOU HAVEN'T GOT IT.  GO AWAY AND COME BACK WHEN YOU CAN READ THE SCREEN BEFORE THIS ONE! Or something like that.

    :D

    Good luck!

    Hahahaha this is so true!

Hey everyone, writing to you guys from here in the Philippines with my fiancé to let you know we called the NVC this morning and received our case number. Our NOA2 date is 2/9 and they just received our case yesterday. We will make the interview and medical appointment tonight as I paid the visa fees this morning at BPI. I will continue to keep everyone updated and we love to see and hear about everyone's progress so far. Congratulations and good luck to everyone!

    Congrats!!

Those whose cases have already been to NVC and onward:

Did the petitioner receive a letter/email from NVC - and how long did this take to reach the petitioner after the case was recieved at NVC?

(I need a copy of it for my medical appointment - and hoping Aaron will be able to scan it and email it in time)

I received a letter from NVC about two weeks after they issued the embassy number.

    Hi everyone!

I just wanted to update you guys that I received the physical NOA2 in the mail today. My case was approved on February 6th. Now time to call the NVC. How long should I wait before calling them? What is the current processing time at NVC anyone know?

And I joined the FB group today! :)

    Stephen

Try calling NVC 8-10 days from electronic notice of NOA2. Most are averaging 2 weeks since January 1 for NVC to receive but a few that I have seen have been less. Mine took 14 days.

NVC is currently taking 1-3 days from receipt to issue the embassy number and 2-5 days to forward to the embassy after processing.

Well happy Friday to the thread! :dancing:

Congrats to all the approvals this week.

    Things really are moving.

For 10/31 there were 364 cases and as of tonight there are now 38 left unworked.

Today is DAY 100 from NOA 1 for us.

I have a feeling I will be one of the final 3 cases to get approved.:protest:

Tomorrow I will be off the the Philippines to visit Jes again.

I never in  a million years thought by the time I took this trip our case would not be approved as that was over 3 long months ago.

I filed a few days before Halloween seems like an eternity.

Anyway so glad to see all the filers come out of the woodwork and contribute to the thread.

This will be my last post until the end of the month.

Vogaan, Art 786, Valex,(L) Mzladyq, Jing, Reboot 1, fishe23a and others and especially Geo don't let this place fall to s.h.i.t. when I'm gone

I'm sure many of you will be well past NVC and have interviews scheduled by the time I return.

    Take care till then

 Enjoy the winter I'm off for some fun in the sun

Here is one of our many destinations.

Have a good trip Jim! I'll be there myself in three weeks. It's more fun in the Philippines!
