1 day before my spouses interview. Eventually August had interview rescheduled for September 28th, 2020. Was told at interview

approval was recommended and to wait for Oath Ceremony date via mail. Got email update October 7th, 2020 however we must wait for hard copy because document was not posted to my account. Very disappointed that "Estimated Completion Date" was updated to "March 2021".

Does that mean we had to wait 6 months for oath taking in Chicago? I will try to update post when we get letter.

Interview letter   2/03/2020

Interview date   3/19/2020

Interview CANCELLED due to COVID-19  3/18/2020 (yes, 1 day before interview!!!!)

New interview date letter   8/18/2020

Interview    9/28/2020  (recommended for approval)

Oath Ceremony letter mailed  10/07/2020 

 

No date yet. Still waiting for letter in mail.

 

I am sure it will be after the election, and hope it will not drag into 2021........ I will update once we receive date.

my timeline is similar to yours. My interview was rescheduled to be on 9/20. 
I have my oath ceremony scheduled for tomorrow  

I had also applied for name change so it’s a judicial oath ceremony.

I don’t think Chicago is doing same day oaths but I am not sure.

I did not have the oath ceremony the same day definitely because of the name change request.

I passed my interview and waiting for oath ceremony to be scheduled. Not expecting it to be very soon since I filed for a name change as well.

my interview was initially scheduled for 24th March-in Chicago,but got cancelled. 
I received a new interview date for 20th August. 
 

Can someone please update the spreadsheet? 
 

Also, I see some filers having the oath ceremony right after the interview. Is this always happening? How would I know if I have the oath ceremony right after the interview? 

Hi I had my interview scheduled for March 13th which got cancelled and now rescheduled to august 20th!

I filed based on 5yr resident.

Do I need to bring any extra documents With me on the day of interview apart from the interview letter ,photo Id And green card?

@bulls2020 may I know when you filed yours? I saw someone from November getting their interview scheduled. 
I filed on December 12 based on 5yrs. Biometrics done on December 31.

when I received my green card,my ‘resident since’ date was wrong

a lot of other members had noticed it too 

and we were asked to send back the GC and we received our new ones shortly after.
