Thanks very much, hoping you get a timely response and can avoid the ROC and get your 10 year card

You should contact your representative and have them handle your case! This is not normal.

That is appalling, sorry it has been so traumatic. My wife and I will be filing our ROC next month and we are on the same timeline. I would be spitting nails in similar circumstances.
Good luck to you, I hope you get the 10 year card after this!

I would be getting my 10 yr gc as well since I have been married for 5 years. Good luck!

Still cannot get any local appointment yet. It's constantly not available on the USCIS appointment website. We're just trying to get in the 3rd time to verify if our file previously they mentioned en-route to Philly has arrived or not. They can take their sweet time to reschedule for GC interview now. I'm already 1 year + in, I don't mind waiting for another 6 months. Better yet, hit my 2nd wedding anniversary date, that way I'll be interviewing for a 10 yr GC instead of conditional 2 yr GC.

You can actually have USCIS designated Civil Surgeon to do the new medical prior to the interview. Have your wife bring the previous i-693 / DS-3025 + all other vaccination records she has had in the past to the Civil Surgeon so that they can check what else is needed and what is not needed as it'll be transferred or transcribed to the new i-693 which the doc will fill up.
Once it is completed, the doc will put all the records in a Sealed Envelope for you to bring to the USCIS during the interview. Before your doc do so, make sure to ask for a copy of i-693 and vaccination records so that you can keep a copy of it.
I should be receiving my interview notice by mail soon this week, suspect my interview will be in Nov or Dec. My i-693 and AOS are filed in July 2017. My DS-3025 was completed in Feb 2017. Pretty sure they will issue an RFE for new medical exam if I am to go to the interview without a new one, wouldn't like to risk being delayed for approval if they can approve on the spot. Willing to spend the $$ and get it all done.
Oh, try to call a few diff doc and ask the price. Sometimes some doc charges a lot more than the other.

It is funny. Finally they sent someone to pickup the package of EAD renewal from USPS post office. Oct 3, USPS changed status to delivered. (Could be USCIS schedule the redelivery).
And today I got notification from email that there's status change on Oct 4 on 1 of my case. Guess what!?
Interview was scheduled today and they mailed out a notice about the interview date. So I should look to receive a doc with interview date. Omg, finally!
1. I think the EAD renewal triggered them to look into when did I filed my AOS, that might help reminding them and they decided to go with interview instead of processing my EAD and AP renewal.
2. Kinda happy and disappointed in some way, I was already giving up the hope of getting interview this year and expected to have it next year (and if it marks 2-year-wedding anniversary), I'll be interviewing for 10 years GC. But looking at it now, I'll be interviewing for Conditional GC. Which means, I'll have to wait for another 2 years prior to file for ROC (Removal of Conditions), another $595 + $85 biometric to be spent....
3. Does anyone know how much they spend for a new medical check-up here in the US approximately? I know it costs me around $125 USD back in Malaysia, but since it is already > 1 year from AOS filing date, obviously my medical is expired, and upon interview, I will expect the officer to mention things like "we cannot approve your GC until we receive new medical checkup, therefore they will issue RFE in regards to the medical check.
Dang, as much as I am happy with there is some progress with our case, it is just costing so much $$ each and every step of the process !
Oh well, I need to learn to be grateful, starting new job next Monday, now that GC interview will be coming soon, that means I will have to take a day off from work, ugh, being a contractor... no paid holidays
@blackjeans - I hope you get to hear something soon. Did you check your case status from time to time from both sites? egov case status as well as uscis dhs?

It seems a lot of applicants have been getting the Case Status updated to "Case is ready to be scheduled for interview" (date update in March). I was pretty sure that when I checked last in July, there wasn't this entry, somehow it appeared since late August where it shows "Case is ready to be scheduled for interview" (dated in March as well). But then again, it doesn't really mean anything, could be a delay in update of case status, the last when I talked to them on the phone in March prior to move from Yuma,AZ to Philly,PA, I was told that my case is ready to be schedule for interview. Then we filed for change of address in middle of June. Got acknowledgement email in the same month. Called to verify again if the current address on file for my case is Philly address. Now all we have to do is wait for either the status to be changed to "We have scheduled your interview and mailed you the notice...etc" ... OR wait to be surprised by a mail from USCIS out of a nowhere. But never know when. Could be months. Hopefully we both get it soon though, haha. I'll have to prepare to file for renewal of EAD this month since my expiry is in March, I can file 180 days prior to expire.

Yeah - luckily our interview was scheduled for like two weeks before our NOA1 date 1 year anniversary! We got our NOA1 on 10th July and our interview is for 26th June!

Just curious, how many days until your EAD/AP expires? Don't worry, you are not the only one with i-485 still pending. I am as well, to top it off, we're getting close to 1 year next month from filing date and we have just relocated and filed change of address online yesterday. Apparently there's some major phone system changes with USCIS and I think the Tier 1 officers now can access some basic information via another database. They are able to check and compare what is the latest address they have on file, I was informed that it'll take 15-30 days for the new address to be reflected into their system, so I should call back within 15-30 days to verify if the new address has been updated. Not sure how long this will further delay our case but even if we stayed in Yuma, AZ (local office fr interview is in PHX) aren't going to help much since we didn't really receive any notice about interview. My EAD was issued late due to the response of RFE took quite some time, like 3rd week of March this year. So it'll only expire in Mar 2019, I guess if 180 days filing in advance is allowed, then I'll probably file for EAD renewal in September. We just secured an apartment for a year lease in Philly, next step would be job-hunt as of starting from this week. Hopefully they won't send that interview notice within this 15/30 days to my old address, lol. That would totally be a bummer.
K1 is right, even tho it is expired. Hopefully you hear something soon regarding the i-485 interview notice. Oh, another tips for July 2017 filers, be prepared to be asked for new medical exam if your interview date is past 1 year from your filing date. They will probably inform you regarding this during the interview, then issue RFE for new medical exam, once it is done and sent in they will proceed with approval of the GC. So don't be panic about them not approving during the interview.

Received a status update on my case this morning on the tracker that my case was scheduled for an interview. Ironically enough the new DHS website didn't update but the old tracker did.

I have a letter in the mail today from USCIS. I've had this happen before a couple of weeks ago where I got my hopes up when I saw a letter coming through USPS informed delivery and it turned out to be the NOA1 for my EAD renewal, but not sure what it could be this time..

They have updated about renewal of EAD now allow to be filed 180 days in advance prior to the expiry date. It was updated in March/April. Before that it was 120 days, and several years ago I believe it was 90 days.

We were advised to comingle all of our assets and liabilities. Kean and I opened new checking and savings and money market accounts. He purchased a car and added my name. I put his name on the RV we own. Both of our names are on all insurance accounts. I even changed the deed to the funeral plots, now we have side by side plots with both of our names on them. We are each other's emergency contacts for all things. We filed Married Filing Jointly on our taxes for last year. Anything you own and anything you owe should have each person's name on it.

Oh wow! That is messed up. I am kinda over organized hahaha ( aside from table of contents, I put a title page for each document ) I wanted to put a tab but my husband told me that its too much hehehe (and leave some work to do for the officer). I thought of the officer who will check my documents, I don't want them to get confused. The documents itself is less than 100 pages but the only thick folder is the Affidavit of support because my husband's IR has a lot of pages and I photocopy all of the pages even if my husband said some of the pages are irrelevant. I also put his latest 6 months payslip but I think most matters to them is his 3 years income tax. I didn't even submit a bank statement or assets or stocks.
After I got my EAD, I didn't think much of the progress of my GC though I was expecting them to schedule an interview and I already calendar when I should process my renewal of EAD which within 90 days prior to expiry date. Thank God I got the approval and I got the hard copy of the notice today stating the GC will be delivered within 3 weeks. *cross fingers*
Who knows maybe they will not schedule you for an interview as well and it'll go straight to approval for gc like mine that is why they don't have updates yet. We will never know really but nothing wrong to hope for the same yeah.
Hang in there bud!

POE is Point of Entry, where to you go thru Customs at? Texas or somewhere else? When you arrived and they stamped your K1 in the passport with the date.
-
Kirk&Kean reacted to Keith & Monica in January 2018 AOS Filers
You need the I-94 for a number of things. They will not accept you hand writing on it. Did you by chance change your passport from the last time you entered to this time? If you input the Travelers Info correctly, it will show you the Most Recent I-94 data and you can print it. If that is not happening, then you will need to contact the US Customs and Border Protection and find out what is up. What was your POE?

Ok wait, it seems there are two records of your arrival to the U.S.? Have you been to the U.S. last year? It seems your recent arrival should be the one you use, so like what Keith suggested, try to click on the Mar 2018's travel history and see if you can pull out that i-94. Double check on the expiry date to see if it matches your stamp.
Obviously, your April 16 2017 to July 14 2017 = 89 days. That is a much earlier record of your arrival to the U.S. I assume that is during your visit last year? Since it is expired for the 2017 one. You may ignore it, but do print it and bring it to your AOS interview in case you got questions like if you have been to the U.S. before the k1 visa was issued. Whatever application you are to apply such as SSN and Driving License, bring the most recent i-94 record, that would help showing you entered legally and it is not expired yet. Although the stamp on your passport is pretty much enough to tell.
89 days April 16, 2017 - July 14, 2017 -
Kirk&Kean reacted to Christina Pizzuti in July 2017 AOS Fillers
ohh and the email says it'll take 30 days to send the card but when I log in to my uscis acct it says within 120 days, which is more or less the 365th days from my submission day. I will give an update when the GC comes.

That is great. Well I have no doubt the Education is Russia is not any weaker than in the U.S. For me it is diff, the education back in Malaysia cannot compare to the U.S. After a full semester of being in a junior college, I find that the education here is better than my home country. I have to spend more than you to acquire a bachelor's degree perhaps, but I am also awaiting for my GC to apply to diff schools, some along with the full-ride scholarship and 2 on my lists of schools are of the least expensive tier-2 schools. Good luck with your studies, and hopefully you get your EAD soon. Oh well maybe just wait until the renewal date and file the renewal of EAD.
