  1. Quick update

Earlier morning, i got 4 status update and it turned out that my case has been received by local office which I believe is Albany, NY.

N400 status changed from Biometric scheduled to fingerprint being taken within 24 hours of biometric appointment and case completion change from October 2020 to September 2020.

It look like they will schedule my interview for I751 and N400 together and hopefully be done with this process

  2. Look like Filling N400 online trigger my I751 paperwork and finally it change from fingerprint being taken to transfer notice and don't know whether it is good thing or not but atleast some progress to my case? Conincidently this happened just an hour before my biometric appointment for N400. I am yet to know where did they transfer my case?Probably to my local office Albany, NY?? Do you guys have any clues what does that transfer of case mean?

This is what my USCIS case status says

On February 3, 2020, we transferred your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number EAC199004xxxx, to another office for processing and sent you a transfer notice. The notice explains why we transferred your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by March 4, 2020, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Did anyone add a scanned copy of their i751 (if it’s still pending) to the online evidence!?

My i751 has been pending for a year now, and still says “case was received”  (the 500 applications before AND after have all at least been updated to fingerprints received, or case progress).  I put a lot of evidence in that, so I hope if they see it’s still pending, and see a copy of everything, they can request the file from Vermont and adjudicate it together with the n400 and then I will be donezo with USCIS.

No I did not add any scanned copy of I751 receipt if that is what you meant? I just uploaded updated evidence from last year and then other important documents like LPR, marraige certificate, birth certificate of our son, Tax transcript from 3 years etc.

  4. Happy new year to all you guys.

I'm going to apply for N400 process next week. My question is when I upload documents online do I need to add notes to each file for identification purposes because in USCIS online system apart from Tax return, birth certificate of child , marraige certificate and green card, there is no separate tab for additional supporting evidence like lease, insurance, finance cominglings, family pictures etc.

    Please advise?

Yes it will tell you documents you have to upload. I didn't do ALL bank statements but did 3 a year for since we were married and til I filed. The same with other things I didn't sent as much as I did with ROC and mine was even light at that time. Just the important things like financial commingling and the house we have and so on. You can try and get a new letter but you can also just sent that one and copy of your DL showing both at that address.

    awesome.thank you for help

Would recommend he just file online instead of paper. It is much easier and he can start now and it will save it until he can submit it. It will guide him to what evidence he needs to provide and how.

Georgia, I have the same question, how we have to upload tons of scanned documents? Im going to apply for N400 online in next couple of weeks so do I need to upload 3 years of bank transaction along with insurance documents and other supporting documents? and also I have a letter from landlord that we have been renting out his apt from 2016 but that was dated last year since I had to submit it  with I751 process would that be enough? or do I need to get a new same updated letter from my landlord for N400 process?

See required evidence starting at page 10 of N400 instructions specifically stating what to submit and what to bring to the interview.

    https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/n-400instr.pdf

so we do need to submit so many documents when file for N400? Like we do not need to submit supporting documents i.e Bank statements, IRS Tax returns, lease, insurance etc? They will need it at the time of interview right? The instruction clearly states that when file for N400, only submit green card, marraige certificate and thats it? Am I interpreting something wrong?

I *think* it’s just a copy of the greencard (front and back) and the marriage certificate (if filing under 3 year rule).

The other supporting docs are essentially the same as the i751 (obviously with additional updates since submission of the i751), that they want you to bring to the interview, rather than uploading to the application.

It means that we have to compile the same amount of paperwork or rather more for additional 1 year worth of supporting documents aghhhhhh. Thats too much work as it pertains 3 years of bank statement, tax returns, pictures, insurances etc. Oh lord help us with this #######! I have not even started paperwork for naturalization process. Look like its not as easy as I thought it would be!

@Charming12 @price411 @jmbiz18  I got super excited that maybe mine was also updated, but, it was not.  Still kickin’ on “case was received”.

26 days until my window to file for the N400 opens, though, I’ll probably wait for 30 days to avoid any nightmarish disaster with their date/time system.

Don't be fooled by our status. Who knows your case would be approved ahead of us . Its mind boggling how USCIS process cases, folks who filled way long back in 2017/2018 are still waiting on their cases and I saw other day one of the VJ member from July 2019 got his case approval last week.

No... I have been subscribed there since May and no issues. This is the website where you can get an account https://myaccount.uscis.gov/ and should be ok. My problem is that before they just to send me an email every 15 days, and that is not happening anymore. That website is working good and you put your case in it.

yeah I have also subscribed for same email but for some reason my email was not recognized.Yeah, you are right I used to get generated email after every 2 to 3 weeks but have not gotten anything since July 2019. I used to check my status at older website and it worked okay with me until last week. Look like that option is gone too

Your case is not like the link I shared, but you need to do more research on your case.

Thank you for reply but his case is completely different, no arrest, no jail time, no detained whatsoever and  voluntarily left country with no charge except for 5 years ban and I'm wondering if working more than 20 hours as a student would consider as a crime or not?

  12. Hello VJ member,

I have a one question for my friend, He was on a student visa in Norway but was not detained or arrested for that matter and left Norway voluntarily but got 5 year ban to enter into Norway. He is banned because he worked more than 20 hours in a week.

He came to US through K1 in 2016 and successfully got GC in 2017, Now his ROC paperwork in process  and  he has not disclosed that information to USCIS since he was not detained or arrested and left Norway voluntarily. Do you guys think he will have an issue later when he apply for Naturalization or in process of I751?

  13. We are planning to relocate to Dallas, TX at the end of this year. My wife will probably relocate earlier than I. I will probably stay longer due to my commitments with current job here in Albany, NY. so my questions is do I need to notify USCIS for our relocation plans? Our current address will change coz we wont be staying in same apt once my wife move out and I will try to find small apt to stay for few months but I will still have access to my current address once we move out? What do you guys suggest me?
