You have to justify it now? I rescheduled my bio appointment for my adjustment of status and the reason was that my spouse didn't want to miss a meeting at work. Don't remember having to state a reason. Is this new?
Im not sure I just assumed they would ask you why you couldn't make it. Not going to lie and say funeral or anything. Ive heard of people being out of the country on vacation and not being able to make the appointment and making up some excuse.

You can reschedule your appointment. There should be a box on the appointment letter you can check off, and then you send the letter back to USCIS to reschedule.
Not sure about the walk-ins.
Yeah I don't think missing my bio100 class is justified enough of a reason to reschedule.
-
Anyone know if they still allow walk ins? Ive a class at the time of mine and don't want to miss.

I want to go to college but I’m scared of applying for financial aid because of the public charge rule. Is anybody here in college? Do you think I should apply or wait until getting the 10 years green card?
Im in college and have gotten a pell grant the past three years and I can assure you it is totally fine. Go for it definitely a good idea.

Biometric letter received Oct 11 for Oct 23 appointment. NOA1 received Jun 3. LIN receipt number.
(Lin) here and just got a Biometrics appointment for the 24th of October. I filled on may 23rd 2019.

I have a mail piece from USCIS coming today. I’m assuming it’s biometrics related. Definitely don’t think I’m gonna get an RFE it’s way to early for that.

I don't think LIN is waiver specific. I think you go to the NBC if you weren't interviewed in the US for the conditional green card. If you were, then they are being spread out across the other service centers based on location. This is all just based on what I've seen trending so far. We are from Charlotte and LIN as well.
I’m LIN and was never interviewed in the US. I adjusted from a K1. It’s hard to see many trends.

Guys,
There's been a lot of guessing over which receipts mean interviews or not. I do not believe that everyone that gets LIN or MSC will get an interview. The latest news on interviews is that if you were interviewed before, then the officer may consider to wave the interview on case to case basis. We were interviewed when I applied for change of status ( I 485). So I am guessing we might be eligible for interview waiver if our evidence is sufficient to prove bona fide marriage.

I thought it was just MSC case numbers getting status updates saying case ready for interview. LINs are still receiving waivers.

Here in CA we can renew our driver licenses online or by mail. I got the renewal reminder from DMV and was sitting around waiting for the extension letter to arrive so I could send in the renewal with a copy of the extension letter. Once I finally got the extension letter I still forgot to add a copy of it and just sent the renewal without it! 😣
I did notice the other day that DMV has cashed the check though, so hopefully I'll actually receive a 5 year drivers license (they only last for 5 years here) because of me forgetting to send the extension letter. 😯
Thats interesting. In Utah they check the SAVE system and will only give you a license expiry date based on that. California is way better. Ive given them a fortune in license renewals over the last three years.

I got my extension letter on Saturday so actually very quick considering they only received my App the Thursday before last.
Went into the DMV and get my license extended out to February 2021. Once I get citizenship or the 10 year green card I won’t have a limited term license anymore.

Got my I797 NOA yesterday in the mail. Its MSC.
The petitioner and beneficiary fields both have my name. Is that how it's supposed to be?
That’s what mine has too. I believe it is correct. Because I signed the petitioner part of application (I’m the GC holder)

Yep it’s shocking! About a year after I had my green card in hand I got 6 text messages and emails saying my case was approved. Only 12 months late.

I see no reason for them to implement a LIFO policy. In fact, it is blatantly unfair, to say the least.....
It is unfair! But it’s nice to dream.

E-Notice text May 30th

What lockbox?
I sent mine to Arizona, they charged my card 2 days ago and still haven’t received my text. Probably just wait for the notice in the mail at this point.

USCIS charged my CC last night. Haven't received the text yet. Hoping it comes soon. My file was delivered last Thursday the 23rd of May to Arizona Lockbox.

You're welcome! I was the same way. I care more about the extension letter than anything right now because we have a huge trip after my husband's green card expires.
We are traveling next week and my card expires in August so not worried about that trip. Its more for the driving license I filled early for. The DL expires the same day as my green card.

3:20pm on Friday. And our credit card was processed around lunchtime Thursday.
Thanks for that. Oh I've been watching my credit card all day today 😉 Hopefully someone opens my package soon.

Where did you mail it?
My package was delivered to Arizona on 5/20 and we will be getting our NOA1 today in the mail. Our credit card was processed on 5/23.
They received mine in Arizona on Thursday Im assuming I will get the text today or tomorrow and receive the extension letter this week if it goes at the same speed as your case. What time did you get the text at?
-
My package just got delivered. It was a day late (thanks USPS) the plus side is I get a refund because USPS messed up my express delivery.

Anyone know what will happen with my global entry during ROC. My GC expires in August. I’m assuming I won’t be able to us global entry until I either get the 10 year GC or citizenship whichever is first. Has anyone else had any experience with this?

I’ve another question. Why are people assigned different letters at the start of their case number? I remember with AOS everyone was MSC. Now it appears people receive different letters? Is this significant or is dependent on the location you are based?

Can’t figure out why Lin filers with cases after mine get approved first. There appears to be no rhyme or reason for how they operate that work flow. No red flags in my case No divorce lots of proof and most cases near to my number have had some movement. It’s definitely not FIFO I would love to have the 10 year card approved before I submit my N400. Soooo frustrating dealing after 3/4 years dealing with DHS and it’s many different branches.
