cookiemonsta got a reaction from Sartre in N-400 Dec 2019 Filers
I have some positive news. I had my N400 interview on the 25th Feb and was approved for my citizenship. My oath ceremony is on 11th March in NYC. My interview process was simple. I turned up, was sent to a room where a lady conducted my interview. I was asked to swear in, and then proceeded with 6 questions, followed by reading a sentence and writing a response on an iPad.
I was not asked for any further documents, I was told I was approved and recommended for citizenship.
the entire process took under 25 minutes. I was told my GC would be mailed - I had a pending I751, and that I would need to bring my expired and new GC to the oath ceremony, along with a one page form they require you to fill on the day of your oath ceremony.
I am relieved and happy my immigration is almost over, and I look forward to helping others out who are going through the same process.
For anyone who has the ceremony on the 11th March in NYC id be glad to socially distant meet since we aren't allow family members to join.

from what i have read, even if your green card extension letter expires, whilst your I751 form is being processed, you are legally a permanent resident until the form has been adjudicated.
Given this, mine expires in late June, so if the pandemic is still halting business ( USCIS offices) i will reach out to my local congress and ask for an infopass appointment to extend my Green card until my n400 is processed.

Im in the same position. I have not seen many people with Vermont location getting approved yet so who knows. I filed December 20th so i still have a few weeks/months to wait.
Im not so bothered now though because ill apply for Citizenship on December 20th.

cookiemonsta got a reaction from sabellic in AOS November 2016 Filers
Hi Guys. I just came home to a text saying my Application for AOS has been been approved - I 485.
my AOS of received Nov 4, meaning less than 5 months. I wasn't asked to attend any interview, just went from case received to case approved.
Kind of in a little shock given i thought NY field office was months behind, and i assumed any AOS case would take at least 9 months or more.
Has anyone else been approved with a similar timeline?

cookiemonsta got a reaction from Nich-Nick in Medical and interview stage in London
I have just gone through this process and i booked the medical and the interview before i received the 'packet 3'...
my advice would be to leave at least a week between your medical and interview in case of any issues with the medical. you may find that when you try to register an account online for your visa interview it may say not ready.
Make sure you have your police cert, 4 UK or US passport photos, vaccination records before you book your medical.
good luck, it really is a piece of cake!

I know the feeling, i waited 69 Days for our NOA2. Being the beneficiary in the UK i know how hard it is, but trust me, keep plugging away, gather all the documents you need so when the NOA2 arrives you can be ready!
if you look at my timeline, mine is updated and is pretty accurate. from 8th Aug receiving the NOA2 i have medical on 6th Sept and interview on 19th Sept. thats just over a month!!! i chased the NVC after 1 week but i also followed the threads here religiously and hopefully all that hard work and countless days on the FaceTime and Skype are about to pay off.
keep at it, happy to help where i can.

Congrats to everyone that has received their NOA 2... we are May 31st NOA 1 so hopefully, looking at the trends, it should be around 2 more weeks and we 'may' just hear something.
This group keeps me going day after day. i get excited for anyone who receives their NOA2 just like it was my own.
thanks everyone for your continued guidance!!
