  1. It depends on the queue at NVC for your consulate. Once you are DQ'd you get in line at NVC. When your case reaches the front of the line, NVC will schedule the interview. The interview date is irrelevant to CR-1 vs IR-1 (if that is your strategy). If you enter the US after 2 years of marriage, then you will be eligible for a 10 year card. I'd say you are in good shape for a 10 year card.
  2. How would he maintain legal status for the entire time? Is he in the US right now?
  3. No....but your post is in the right spot for the VN experts to see. Good luck. I hope you get this straightened out soon.
  4. Why would a foreign passport renewal be related to an expired Green card? I'm not connecting the two. You don't need a Green Card to renew a foreign passport.
  5. Did you pay the $235 Immigrant fee after the visa was issued? If you did, you can use the receipt number from the payment to track.
  6. ***Old thread locked to further comments. Please ask any questions as new topics***
  7. Honestly, I have no idea what their protest is about. Lower taxes, secure borders, removing illegals thugs and criminals from the country, lower cost of living? These people are bunch of sore losers who are perpetual imaginary victims.
  8. Yes. My point was geared toward the OP's extreme comments about CFO and the entire government. Those comments won't win any friends.
  9. You simply enter the information as of the date you file the document.
  10. Nothing really happens at NVC for a K-1 case. They simply assign a case # (which you have), then forward the case to the consulate when requested by the consulate. What is the CEAC status of your case?
  11. ***Similar/duplicate topics merged. Please keep related questions in this thread***
  12. Not an issue. Just accurately report CURRENT annual income. CURRENT annual income is calculated as follows for an employee: Gross income from latest pay period stub multiplied times the number of pay periods per year (12 months).
  13. My interweb research indicates you will not lose your current appointment if you "confirm" here, then decide you don't want to change dates.
  14. What is your legal status? I ask because there is always a risk of a ban in certain circumstances.
  15. ***Moved to Working and Traveling During US Immigration***
  16. September of this year? If you file now, I'd say your chances are a little less than 50/50....but you can throw the dice and gamble.
  17. So am I. I see "mailing address" and "physical address".....no "legal address". Terminology is important in immigration. Good luck on the rest of your journey.
  18. *****Op comment edited to remove attachment containing personal information***Please do not post any personal information in comments*** @RubysMom That attachment exposed a Name, an address, an email address, and a phone number. Do not post anything with that info on VJ.
