  1. Yep. My wife entered the US only 30 days prior to out 2 year anniversary. Now, after having been through the complete absurdity and hassle of an I-751, I wish we had waited.
  2. I would contact my Congressperson's office to ask then to inquire. If you need proof of status, call USCIS and say "infopass" at the prompts. You can get an ADIT stamp to then show as evidence of status.
  3. New I-130s, new fees, new category (IR-5). You can't transfer.
  4. The Visa Journey average from filing to Advance Parole approval is 131-136 days. Sample size is 117 records. It could take as long as 6 months.
  5. Only if she receives an approved Advance Parole Document approved before leaving. Leaving prior to approval will void her adjustment. The chances are not good for approval within 90 days of filing.
  6. Take a look at my profile. My wife is a native Taiwanese.
  7. From what status is your change...and to what status?
  8. ***Comment split to new topic. Zombie thread closed***
  9. Being retired Military didn't help me...LOL.
  10. $50 difference for I-130s filed online, too.
  11. Wife's Naturalization Certificate picture appears to have come from her 2019 (I-751) biometrics appointment.
  12. The Great state of Texas....Dallas is our local office.
  13. Not sure that the process is shorter, but filing online is easy and convenient. Just answer questions and upload documents. Receive receipt immediately. Wife was a citizen in slightly more than 5 months after filing.

  15. I'm not sure where you got that advice, but VJ history proves those notions to be wildly inaccurate. UK and France are not difficult consulates. Good luck. The K-1 immigration journey is quite a long trip to a Green Card. I would strongly suggest you get your advice from Visa Journey. We are all here to help.
  16. I don't see a problem with handwriting. Don't overthink, and don't let the "What if" mental gymnastics drive you crazy. I'm not sure I would have chosen a K-1, but best of luck on your journey.
  17. The US was always open to returning citizens and Green card holders.
  18. To clarify, you had a conditional Green Card, but never submitted an I-751 to remove condition. Is that correct?
  19. Makes me wonder who the "us" is? I don't think it includes me.
  20. Remember the fee has now increased to $750.00 (with biometrics).
  21. You have done all you can do at this stage. You just have to wait until approval.
  22. Yes. ***Moved to Adjustment of Status from K-1 & K-3 Visas forum***
