Yea so he has a removal in absentia order against him. The problem is we cant file for the 601a until we have an approved i130 (hopefully any day) and we sucessfully have his absentia order administratively closed.

The case was transferred from NBC to my local office.  We were approved (at a marriage interview in Philadelphia) on Feb 1 2017.   So it took from July to Feb.

yes.  we were transferred to nbc in July.   i did a congressional inquiry in October amd found my case was transferred to my local office.  Then ombudsman told me in December that we were awaiting the scheduling of an interview.  Then i received notice of an interview  in the mail in january.  then we had interview in feb 1 and were approved.  if the beneficiary is in the country they automatically schedule an interview.

what about Philadelphia? there are wonderful suburban neighborhoods in the Northeast section. you can get a 4 bedroom single for around 200k. lots of career opportunities, nestled between DC and NY. Commuting into city takes 20 minutes via rail. theres a nice culture/US history. public school system is not great though. could try for charter, catholic, or private

I think the reason why people go directly to the forums is the site design. On the home page, you see new/recently posted questions and therefore new members just assume that's what they need to do as well. Maybe the wiki/guide part should be more prominent on the homepage?

Anyways, I agree with what a few people have said up thread. See if she's willing to let you come to Europe with her where you can begin the "visa journey", if you will. If she says no, she's probably in this for the wrong reasons.

Aaron I have over 6.000 Vawa cases approved and not even 15% had a police report or hospital records. Of course I advise the person to file a police report, but in case the person doesn't have a police report the VAWA can be approved with a psychological evaluation, affidavits from family and friends and with her own affidavit, she has to prove bonafide marriage as well.

Since he never left, he needs a good immigration lawyer to help him. This is not a DIY.
