  1. hmm I thought guyz are suppose to gift their wives.. not wives gift their men :P . anyways, i will tell you a secret when he comes home...

Ah, mann I can't spell sometimes. :crying:

Timesnap -- I was wondering where you were and figured you were also a "nishachar" and logged-in at night. It's these humorous interludes which help us keep our sanity I guess.

Shalz -- don't worry -- your fiance will keep the weight off -- you are only engaged yaar -- better give him a gym membership as a wedding gift. I got some pretty serious threats from the wife before we got married :P

;-) dID NOT GET TIME TO VISIT vj ..LOOKS like I missed lot of fun ;-)

  2. Chris,

As you know, my fiance also went thru New Delhi Embassy. And the documents he took with him was I-134, my Job Letter, 1040 and my W2's ( 2003-2005), but they only wanted to see the current year (2005). so he gave them those. and out of all those only the 1040 and W2's were photocopied. He also had few pictures of us, copy of my passport pages, 3 months phone logs, and 2-3 emails. The CO didn't want to see any of these. He just asked him few questions like, HOW DID WE MEET? WHEN DID WE MEET? WHY DID WE NOT GET MARRIED IN THOSE 2 YEARS...(WE GOT ENGAGED IN MAY 2004). WHO ALL ARE IN MY FAMILY. AND THAT WAS IT. THE CO WASN'T EVEN ASKING ANYTHING.... HE WAS JUST FLIPPING THRU MY DOCUMENTS... AND MY FIANCE GOT SO COMFY WITH HIM THAT HE JUST KEPT ON TALKING TO HIM LIKE HOW WE MET THRU EACHOTHER COUSINS... (LONG STORY) DON'T WANNA BORE YOU WITH IT. SO, YOU GUYZ JUST NEED TO STAY RELAX.... DON'T WORRY TOO MUCH.... WORRYING TOO MUCH SOMETIMES MAKE THINGS WORSE. IF YOU NEED ANY HELP YOU KNOW I AM ALWAYS THERE. NOW DO THE DANCE WITH ME :P:dance:

    SHALZ

I am going through new delhi opps sorry forgot to mention that in my I-129F packet we sent in movies tickets resturant tickets, train tickets and airplane tickets along with other stuff so they already seen all that do we need to resubmit the evidence again? I been told that our I-129F file has been sent to the embassy and so they should have a copy of everything we sent with the 1-129F petition...

We don't have cell phone bills because over in India its kind of hard for my fiance to get and when he used to call me so much he burned the bills so his brother could not see.. The way I call is through speedy pin but that only shows I am buying phone cards for India not who I am calling so I do not think that will work either... We mostly talk on yahoo messenger and rediff.. 6:00a.m. through 8:30a.m. then go to work after I get off work 5:00p.m. until 10:30p.m. mon-sunday besides friday at night its 5:00p.m. until 1:00a.m. and saturday its all night 5:00p.m. until 6:00a.m. the next morning should I copy all the conversations?

    Sincerly Christina

  3. I told my fiance the samething, Im like if you put on any more weight.. you are going back on the same flight ......

Right on... it does mean nocturnal -- I had to reach into the archives of my Hindi vocabulary to get that one :-).

I thought I was the ABCD here... :D

    KP

Nishaachar means one who works or functions at night - nocturnal. Right KP?

Melo, don't stress yourself too much.... and I even don't know what NISHACHAR is.... KP.. you mind telling us????

Uff!!! 2 AM :-). I was pointing out that she should be "nighty-night" at this hour. But the ace in her leg explains it (and the PITA from the VFS makes it a double whammy)

    KP

Oh no KP !!!!!!!!!! you got me wrong there now. 2PM???? What ya talking bout?? I wish It was 2Pm in India so i could be on the fone with my other half.

Umm -- can I have the carb-free, sugar free made with splenda. I gotta keet this weight off until the wife gets here otherwise she will get back on the same airplane which brought her here to her new homeland

    KP

umm... who wants some CHOCOLATE CAKE??? :P

:D:lol: OK -- that was a 8 on the cute-meter and really hilarious. I have never heard that one -- is that something new or have I missed it?

    KP

... have been known to to say tum shut up karo (my mates have never let me hear the end of this)...

  4. Melo, don't stress yourself too much.... and I even don't know what NISHACHAR is.... KP.. you mind telling us????

It is currently past 3 am... I don't sleep easily and asfter the fall I had the day before - well the pain won't allow me to sleep

I can understand basic bombay hindi but I have not the foggiest what nishachar is... I speak bombay hindi with an english accent... so stuff like ek packet cigarette lena ko sakta hai... normally has the ciggiewalla look at me in stunned disbelief... have been known to to say tum shut up karo (my mates have never let me hear the end of this)... I forget all the hindi I know when I am angry... and when someone tries to rip me off I do get angry

    Cheers,

    KP

  8. One of my friend had applied for DCF visa in India and It was an Immigrant Visa

She applied in feb and he got the visa in may ... so the whole process took about 3 months

If you need more info... you can always go to the VFS office (if in india) or visit their web site.

    hi

v r totally confused abt this.

We need the details about DCF visa.

    1. Is it different from k-3 visa.

    2. How much time it takes?

    3. What is d procedure for that?

    4. Whether we need to apply k-3 if we have already applied for Dcf?

From where we can get information about Dcf???

    GGT

  9. Oh wow... congratz to KP, timesnap, and CFO..... !!!

Good luck with the Interview ya'll.

    dancin' for you guyz :dance::dance::dance:

Hey, good luck everyone on your September 20th interivews.....since I am getting conflicting reports on what all I will (Indian fiance) need to collect for my interview, for which i want to start preparing now, due to time issues later, could you please tell me what all you have been requested to furnish.

One imprtoiant question: Do they need police certificates for every place I have stayed in, past 5 years, or will just my current (also permanent) residence do? This is important for me since I would need to visit a couple of cities to get this done and I dont really have time.

    2. I have also renewed my passport and I read somewhere that someone whose passport has been renewed 6 months before the interview does not need a police certificate. Is this true?

Timesnap -- I used regular mail. used to reach there in 7 days. but since you have less days left... you mite wanna use fedex or DHL.

Delhiguy ---We had the similar issue. my fiance's passport was issued in mangalore. and after graduating he came back home... and then we thought he would have to go mangalore to get his passport clearance done. but what he did was he changed his address on the passport ... and then got the clearance done from chandigarh itself. (what a relief it was) !!!

Now, I would like to understand your situation... from what I read, I think you got a new passport? if im wrong please correct me.. so i can answer your question.

  10. Where is your wife from???

Shalz -- my wife's regional passport office is C'garh also and since her interview date is going to exceed the 6 months since her passport was issued, she is going to have to get a PCC from the passport office too (she has the police station one). Can you please share what all your husband had to do?

Did he simply fill out the form and went to the information booth with his passport and they took care of it? Or did he have to find an "agent" of some kind? Any help would be appreciated -- my wife is going to C'garh on Monday.

    Thanks,

    KP

Well, Passport office he went to is in Chandigarh, Punjab.... and since he is in Haryana.. He went to Kaithal. (you prolly haven't heard of it)

wt police station and passport office did he go to ?

  11. KP -- I will call him tonite and ask, as i don't know what exactly he did. So I will keep you posted. As afr as I can remember he got it done the SAME DAY !!

  12. WELL, WHEN I FILLED OUT MINE .... I CHECKED "INTEND TO" AS I INTEND TO SUPPORT HIM. AND YES U CAN SURELY FILL THE FORM OUT AND JUST HAVE THEM SIGN IT. AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO WRITE YOUR NAME ON THERE... BECAUSE HOW IN THE WORLD WOULD THEY KNOW THAT YOU ARE THE ONE WHO FILLED THIS OUT.

ON #11 of the I-134 it asks if I intend to or not intend to support my husband.

How should I answer this, I seen on the example form the way they answered was N/A (K-1 visa process for permanent resident).

Should I answer the same only changing it to K-3? Its very crazy because as my husband I would deffinitley support him. I mean come on, however I dont wanna answer it in a way that would jeopardize our outcome.

    Anyone? Thanks in advance.

    Sherry

Oh and also, my co sponsor has really bad writing, is it ok for me to fill the form out and have them sign it? it does have a place at the bottom that says to sign if filled out by someone else, but wasnt sure if it would be ok for the petitioner to be the one filling it out. Thanks all

  13. Yeah calOC, you are right !!! you don't have to submit all the documents, but you must pay the courier fee or else they won't let you in.

It appears you don't have to submit all documents to VFS before the interview; you can submit them at the embassy on the day of the interview.

    http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/packet4chlst.html

Yes KP, he got 2 clearences, one from the passport office and second one from the police station.

No, He didn't submit all his paperwork at the VFS. He only paid the courier fee there.

Oh -- that is a really helpful thing to know -- thanks. The only thing your fiance had to hand-carry was the pictures, passport and evidence of relationship, right? The VFS took everything else?

Also, did he get 2 clearances? One from the regional passport office and one from the police station?

    Thanks,

    KP

  14. I just posted the answer to this in the other thread. but anyways, He didn't submit anything at the VFS but the Courier fee. :)

How about this proof of continuing relationship? Phone logs etc.? What all was he able to give to the VFS office?

    Thanks,

    KP

Just spoke to my fiance..... He said that the officer didn't want the 2003 and 2004 Tax Returns... asked for the current one only. So, If ya'll think ya'll don't have the 2003 and 2004.... you are still good to go... no worries :P

  15. Yes KP, he got 2 clearences, one from the passport office and second one from the police station.
