not necessarily. but yeah they do urge you to submit all your documents at the VFS prior to your interview date.
-
yeah. no need to notarize it.
-
Well, I just couldn't wait for another 12-24 hours ... and went back online... and guess what..I can finally see the status on my case.
-
How is it my fault?? ha !!!
well, anyways all i can do is wait for another 12-24 hours for this msg to disappear.
-
The only thing I don't understand is this: When I was on K-1 Journey.. I used to check my status online every other second .... and never had this darn messege... WHY NOW????????????????????????? URGGGHHHH !!!!!
-
I have created an Account. and I hardly check my status... probably once in day I would say.
Have you created an account (or a portfolio as they call it)? Or do you just enter your case number manually everytime?Cass (bebop the great)
-
When I tried to check my status online today, this is what i get :
It was reported to us that your IP address or internet gateway has been locked out for a select period of time. This is due to an unusually high rate of use. In order to avoid this issue please take this opportunity to create a Customer account (single applicant) or a Representative account (representing many individuals, such as lawyers, charitable groups, or corporations). Each account allows you to generate a Portfolio of receipt numbers.
Building a portfolio containing your receipt number(s) eliminates your need to manually enter the receipt number and extract each case status. You will automatically be emailed changes to each case as updates occur. This email notification will occur within 12 to 24 hours of any progress made for every receipt number contained in your portfolio. There is no lockout feature associated with your portfolio and there is no wasted time on your part checking a receipt number where no advancement has been made.

Delhiguy,
Have you guys started your K-1 process as yet?
-
Hey Chris,
Congratulations !!!! I'm so happy for you and Jatin.

Coping the passport page with K-3 stamp on it would be sufficient. But, also, It doesn't hurt if you include all the pages. So, that you don't receive an RFE on it.
-
It really is horrible. But, I have heard someone calling the NVC and they told him/her that CSC is also sending petitions directly to the consulate's/embassies. So you mite wanna try emailing the new delhi embassy and give them your CSC receipt number and ask if they have received it or not.

Elena,
I know someone who had e-filed I-765 and didn't have to send any supporting documents in the mail. and she got approved in exact 25 days....So, E-filing is faster than the mailing-in process.

A# can be found on the approval letter (NOA2) under the beneficiary's name.
For the medical, you don't have to go thru the whole examination but yeah, you have to get the vaccination done by one of the civil surgeon chosen by USCIS. The list can be found on their website. If you have already had vaccines done... call one of the civil surgeon in your area and ask them if they would transfer those to I-693A for you.

Did you try emailing the Embassy in Chennai???
-
Are you trying to register your marriage in India??? Please be clear.
-
Also, If I were you I would track dates from 25th uptil now... cuz When I called NVC about my case they said they had sent my case to the embassy on 2nd... and when I emailed embassy they said they had received my case on the 2nd and sent the packet to my fiance on the 4th.... I KNOW IT AND U KNOW IT ... that Its not possible for them to deliver the package in DELHI the same day.
-
Well, Calling the embassy wouldn't help.
What you can do is .. email the embassy and give them your case number and ask them whether they have received your case or not. They are good at replying emails than answering their phone calls.
Good luck !!!!

The number in RED is the nonimmigrant visa number.

Celine,
I know someone who had missed her biometrics and had gone back there to take hers.. and had no problems.
-
My fiance had never received his packet 3... because they had the wrong address. So, what my fiance did was.. He went to the embassy in Delhi, India and submitted Ds-230 Part -I as told by one of the representative there... and after submitting that... he was given an interview date.
** Try emailing them... and try to sort things out. **** Hopefully you hear good news soon.

Wonderful news !!! Have a Happy Life Together.
