    cao svima,

Our cr1 case is being processed now at nvc, but I have a question regarding what the police certificate is exactly. my spouse lives in belgrade, but what and why do I need to upload any police certificate to ceac? Is this police certificate mandatory because I did not upload it....hvala

Hi kazzmhere, you may have already the info but yes, it is mandatory, both police and court certificate. That is a proof that he is not currently under any criminal investigation or court process. You may get RFE.

    Good luck

You were fortunate. I suspect it’s down to if your office has a staff member who is also an officer of the court or something similar.

You may be quite right, he was repeating, "All is good, everything went through, you are good to go". I guess I'm trying to say that USCIS has a enough time to resolve aplicants name change through the court books prior to the interview and oath.

I became a US citizen in a parking ramp today. It was probably one of the strangest moments of my life so far! I was worried they were going to cancel the ceremony after Cedar Rapids got pounded by the Derecho storm. But it all worked out in the end!

Thank you to all of you for your support ♥️ I’m keeping my fingers crossed for all those who are still waiting 🤞

    Congratulations!!!

Apple's Oath ceremony was scheduled for 10:30 am in Memphis, and they started letting people in 3 at a time (elevator social distancing) at 10:05. It looked like there was about 40 people scheduled, and they were split into 3 groups. She was back outside at 10:40. Everything was smooth, except her middle name on the certificate was wrong. It wasn't noticed until we were back in Little Rock trying to renew her driver's license. Currently on hold with USCIS. 😠

Ahh I am so sorry for this misfortune. When I was having my Oath, officer was stressing out, couple of times, to make sure that all our information is correct on our certificate. I hope that you will be able to correct this asap. Good luck!

    I have a question

Did anyone had to study those definitions of word?!

I never heard about that until right now😳😳😳😳

No, i didn't study definitions. I don't think they ask that, at least I wasn't.

I have my Interview tomorrow 8:30am EST pray for me pleaseee🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

You got this girl, just relax, trust me everything will be ok.

  6. My husband applied mid December 2015 for K1, and I arrived to the US the last day of April 2016. We got married May 16, 2016. In September I got my conditional GC with the wrong expiration date (10 years instead of 2) so we had to correct that. When I finally got the GC with the correct date I had to apply for ROC 😂🤦‍♀️. So we did, in August 2018, I got my 10 year GC in Sept 2019. In December we went to a vacation to Tahiti and got robbed one night and my GC was stolen (man  what a karma with me and my GC 😳, srsly, I'm not a bad person 😂). So when we got back we decided to apply for my citizenship (yes, I also had to reapply for the GC). Finally in July my journey ended. I do think that all in all it was super fast, but boy - was it a Rollercoaster 🤦‍♀️

I opened a service request online on Monday.  I did it for my still pending i751, which is at the Vermont Service Center, but I see the request was sent to my local USCIS office, so I’m hoping (with all my fingers crossed) that this means they will pick up my n400 too.

I had a combo interview scheduled for April 14, which was obviously canceled, and nothing since they re-opened.

I just want to be done with this journey.  From K1 to now, it’s been 4.5 years, and I’m just ready to close the USCIS chapter of my life.

    Fingers crossed friend 🤞!!

I forgot to mention that I can also confirm that the timeline they give you on the My USCIS website appears to be bogus. Yesterday I checked it and it changed from October 2020 to November 2020, even though my oath ceremony is this month. I saw that a few people here commented not to take that timeline too seriously and I concur.

I agree with you! Mine was showing September 2020. I had interview and Oath and now its showing November 2020 😂

Turns out my officer was just raining on my parade! My oath ceremony was scheduled and it is on August 20th. I’m so happy and relieved. Can’t believe my immigration journey is finally coming to an end! What a wild ride. Fingers crossed it won’t get cancelled, haha.

Congratulations!!! It won't get canceled!!! See, I told you so 😂😂

Could you update my case estimated completion time to 02/1/2021, please? Everything else for me seems accurate. Thank you.

I had my interview in Des Moines, IA today and I passed. These are the test questions I was asked

    1. What is the economic system of the US?

    2. Which ocean is on the East coast of the US?

    3. What is the current president’s name?

    4. What is one right only for citizens?

    5. Who is your US representative?

    6. When do we celebrate Independence Day?

    My reading/writing portion was:

How many US senators do we have?

    We have 100 senators.

I asked him when he thought the oath ceremony would take place and he told me not to expect it anytime soon, “because we are all getting furloughed”. So that made me sad. I had heard and I told him that I was sorry about that and he thanked me for caring 😭

Congratulations!! Let's stay positive, he may be wrong. They postponed it once, it may be done again!

  11. I had my interview today and I passed. Another great news is that I have my Oath TODAY at 2 pm and then I'm done!! What a journey.

Took about 30 minutes for the interview, officer just checked my informations and proceeded with questions.

    1. Who is Chiefe of Military?

    2. Who is in charge of Executive branch?

    3. What is the name of your state Representative?

    4. When is the Declaration of independence adopted?

    5. What is the name of Vice President?

    6. Why are there 13 stripes on the Flag?

    Reading: Who was George Washington?

Writing: Washington was the first President.

Officer was extremely professional and nice, didnt check any of the papers I brought with me, congratulated me and told me that my Oath will be today.

    Field office: San Antonio, TX

@Rick & Appleplease update the sheet for me, thanks!
