MrChamploo got a reaction from Mr & Mrs in Are wedding pictures required for CR1 visa interview?
Pictures are not mandatory but it is highly advised.
Pictures with each others families are a good thing to have them see.

She will have to do a new medical.
At POE they check your medical files to make sure they are in date and by an approved doctor.
The embassy should be able to guide you.

Sadly they dont have the budget to be open 24 hours. I was sent to Potomac luckily.

Remember all this is a privilege not a right. They all try to move things along they dont want to be backed up as much as you guys dont want them to be.

It is your choice but all a lawyer does is send your papers and double check them.

You still do all the work and prepare everything. A lawyer is really only needed for dire events at the end if the visa is refused.

we all are a lot of help and knowledgeable here.  Just follow the instructions it's pretty straight foward

You often ask "She has lived outside the US why and how does she have to do this" It's because it's whats demanded no matter your case.

Her bank account helps but is not enough.
Her brother could put her name on the lease that a-lot of help too. Her brothers letter stating she is welcome is not much of a factor IMO. She needs to be on the lease.
Any ID/Voting card she can get from her state is important too.
Any jobs and ties in the US help as well.

They won't allow someone who has no domicile in the US to get someone residency. It does make sense.

You might not have a choice, she might have to move back and get some documents and what not to prove domicile.

Remember expediting just means the NVC no longer checks your documents. It's a riskier option.
You need to bring EVERYTHING for your interview. All originals when possible!

    We were pretty simple.

I just put all our pictures together and wrote dates, time, who and place on the back of them.
Other then that all we had was paperwork so the paperwork just went in.

Make sure your cover letter is descriptive. They know what to look for but any guidance and clues help them.
They do like non staged pictures with the staged as well.

Don't be impatient. You are about to go into a journey that will test your patience all the way through. You need to be patient and prepare for each phase while waiting.

When you send a packet or start a phase,in the wait time you will -Defiantly- have you should be preparing for the next phase, and then the next phase and so fourth.
Do not get caught with your pants down and be prepared! Plan ahead! Get the paperwork now! Do research so you know what to expect.

I sent plane tickets, photos, her being on my medical insurance and her being on one of my credit cards.

Just remember through this part is it your job to prove a realtionship not theres.

if all you sent was a marriage certificate you most likely get an RFE.

Please educate yourself on each step so you don't miss anything.  While your waiting look towards the next step and prepare yourself.

I just keep reading on these people getting denied entry,i'm happy "stay" was passed and the ones detained were allowed in.
This is nonsense. I give my wife playful  talks about being from the Netherlands but damn ><

It looks good though that this was passed in court, hopefully they can go bigger soon.
