i have been reading online unless you have arrest or detained you don't need to mention anything less than $500 charges.

Tell him your mother is moving in too. 

call USCIS in October.
Officer will call you back. check your case and will setup appointment at local office.
get stamp on your passport. it could be 3 month,6month or 1year stamp based on when officer will touch your file.
if file is still untouched and closer to expiry of stamp. make another phone call and get appointment for stamp.
 
we know this is far more than the word ridiculous. but that's the way it is. they like keeping you in that limbo state. 

when you do get your GC. go and visit your family it helps trust me

the painful part is that I can't move around freely. Lets say I want to move to another apartment so I go through updating my address on USCIS. and who knows when they will update it on computers and send us mail where. the whole process sucks. i've read horror stories of people missing their letters and cards.
 
another thing i had to show my GC and extension letter almost everywhere I went through while travelling outside country.
They could've just given a stamp on passport much easier to manage. Now it was my passport, expired GC and extension letters pheewwwww.
 
my 18month extension comes to an end in like 2 months and so am basically out of my full time job which I got after so much struggle and prep because of some stupid snail department just didn't look through my file. my HR keeps asking me about a 10 yr card or US passport. otherwise am out of job man.
 
my wife being citizen just moves around freely. she has a different frame of mind when it comes to moving around. she doesn't have to prove to anyone ask anyone just flash US passport and your done. for me that freedom is more value.
 
no I don't think so. just you and your general knowledge about US constitution.

I was in middle of doing this when I got letter for biometrics.

been more than ten days since been to the biometrics. nothing has changed on either of the websites and nothing in the mail.

Yep I had added my receipt to the old one but nothin was moving on from that point. Thanks again for the new website as its really helpful and all the best man ! 

the receipt number is traceable. go to the uscis egov website and add the receipt number. turn on email and mobile alerts and you're done.

just try to get out and do something which will take me away from this stress ful time

thats part of there format. I also got same and one guy from UK also and we came to conclusion that this is a standard format they have which they roll out to everyone however primary concern is always first point
in my case it was recent year 1040 which we filed and sent
