No... are we supposed to logging service requested now?
On 8/17/2019 at 10:55 PM, Bose12 said:No idea and I have not seen anyone send a service request.
We actually did. We logged 2 service requests because we didn't receive anything regarding biometrics (whether they would be reused or we'd need new ones). The second one was in July and we were told we'd receive correspondence by 8/1, but instead we received the biometrics letter on 8/15.
I don't know if the service requests helped move the case along or not. There are still no case updates since 3/14 "Your case has been transferred to your local office"

What great news! Some movement on SRC! Thank you for sharing!
You're welcome! I was told it was taking around 6 months to send out the biometrics notice and encouraged to follow up in September if we hadn't received the notice by then. Hopefully, we'll start seeing some movement in all of our cases soon

We finally received our biometrics notice! Its for 8/27/19 at 12 and we're going to try and do a walk in on 8/21/19

I know two couples that filed in texas SRC last year and both of them got biometrics around 7-8months of waiting. They haven't been approved yet
We submitted an e-request in May that was never answered regarding biometrics and we called and finally got a hold of Officer Caldwell (Tier 2). She told us that because it is taking so long to approve applications they will not send out biometric notices until the office is close to making a decision (interview, RFE, card production, etc.). HOWEVER, I know there are numerous cases that have already had biometrics or received a letter stating that they will reuse them.
We're going to call next week, because we're unable to submit any new requests as the old one is still pending. Hopefully we'll receive a letter soon stating they are reusing biometrics.

@PonJor yes, however the earliest date that the N-400 can be filed/recieved is 20 May 2020.
Ok, thank you! We will be filing as well, but I believe our earliest date is 01 February 2020. I'm hoping our Atlanta office will be good to us!
-
Will you be filing the N-400 when eligible?

I was hoping that being transferred to MSC would help move our case along a little faster, but we still don't have our biometrics appointment After 2 e-requests (and no response from USCIS), we spoke to a Tier 2 officer yesterday. She said that we have have not received an appointment yet because the case process for I-751s is so long that they want to avoid the applicant coming back to redo biometrics and are scheduling them as late as possible. But it seems like almost everyone has had their appointment or received a notice saying they would reuse the old ones. The one positive thing is that she did say our case is still moving forwards, so that's nice.

I see your data. Thank you for including it in the spreadsheet......
Youre welcome

And yes. Im having difficulty logging onto the account, but in the case history it states that the case was received at my local office on 3-13-19. Then the letter we received stated it had been moved to NBC for standard processing.

Hello all!
I've just updated the Google doc with our information. So far we haven't received biometrics letter. We sent an inquiry via the online system and should here something back by 4/30. Fingers crossed they can use his old biometrics!
Good luck everyone and may we get through our journeys quickly! 😊

Quick update, we just received a letter stating our case was transferred to the National Benefits Center (NBC) as part of "standard processing" on 3/13/19. Fingers crossed the next letter will be for biometrics.

My husband went in with his NOA 2 months prior to his driver's license/green card expiration. The first worker told him she could renew his license, but that because he had 2 months left until the expiration she would only be able to renew it for 16 months (September 1 2020 as opposed to November 1 2020). She encouraged him to come back closer to the expiration date and then she would be able to renew it for the full 18 months with no issue (but you can renew 120 days prior to your license expiration so I have no idea what she was talking about).
My husband left the DMV and called me in the parking and I told him to go back in and see a different worker or ask to speak to the supervisor (he also forgot to change the name on his title so he had to go back anyway). He said he got a new number, went to another worker, and they renewed his license without issue. Go figure

I’m always hopeful of this, but realistically I think it just means they shift the files from the office most backlogged, to one less backlogged, to even out the backlog times across the board.
Though it would be awesome if they powered through and brought processing times to within 12 months!!
"even out the backlog" Yes, unfortunately everyone is so backlogged I don't know if will ever get back to within 12 months. I see other users timelines in which they were approved within months (years ago obviously) and just imagine what that would be like lol
57 minutes ago, Springleaf said:It is already expired. I telecommute so i am not that affected but for sure it is a pain as i cannot renew my license.
Oh geez. I'm glad its not affecting work, but I'm sure it is a pain that you can't renew your license. Don't worry, your time is coming soon!

When i talked to USCIS 2 days back, they said they were shifting the workload. Mine also starts with SRC and i have not received my NOA yet and this was their response.
I'm hoping this shift in workload means quicker processing times.
The fact that you haven't received you receipt yet is crazy! It's odd how some have received them and some haven't. Praying you'll get yours soon! When does your GC expire?

Good Morning All!
This morning around 6:30 we received an e-mail notification that "On March 13, 2019, your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number SRC199XXXXXX, was transferred to another USCIS office." Does this mean we should expect the biometrics letter soon? Or is this just USCIS shifting workload. It says we should receive a letter by April 12

We received our rejected packet on 2/25/19 and we resent it the same day. It arrived on 12/26/19 and on 3/1/19 I received a text with the case number (SRCxxx). Check was cashed today (3/4/19) and we have a piece of mail coming to us (per Informed Delivery) from USCIS which is 2 pages and has a date of 3/1/19. Could this be the NOA1??

We've had a couple of people here on VJ recently having their I-751 package rejected due to submitting early.
Yep. I knew it had to be 90 days prior to GC expiration, but like TheKingmaker said, I got a little too excited and sent it thinking it would arrive the day of the window. I should have waited to send it on the day the window actually opened
10 hours ago, TheKingmaker said:Ahh I see. Your issue was getting a little too excited. Happens to the best of us.
Yeah, this has been a big lesson learned.

What do you think was "improper" in your application?
1. Did you send the right fees?
2. Did both of your sign?
3. Did you include a copy of your GC?
I know why it was rejected. Instead of it arriving on the scheduled 1/31/19 date, FedEx delivered it early on 1/30/19.
We'll resubmit the package with an updated date on our cover sheet and signed application
