Update on the oath ceremony. There were 1000 plus people being naturalized today in St Paul, MN. They made us wait almost 1.5 hours before the actual ceremony took place but no complaints really, just glad to be done.
Also an interesting story. They had us sit in random aisles and rows, in other words in random spots. Though at the end, distributed our certificates without any issues so I am pretty certain they used facial recognition to figure out who was sitting where. I had a mask on the whole time yet they still figured out where I was. Black magic! Gotta be facial recognition, right? The invitation letter indicated no aisle, row information. Wild.
Anyway, glad that this journey is over. I am applying for passport tomorrow and updating SSN card maybe in the next few weeks.
Good luck to you if you're waiting. Your turn will come soon!
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. My Oth of Ceremony is today so excited for this journey to be over I can't wait my God🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗.

I would bring evidence of your latest trip as the IO will ask you about trips made outside of the US since you applied. Beyond that, take what is on the list, most likely the IO will not ask to see any of it, but it is better to have it with you.
Lastly, the 2008 test is the proper test.
Good Luck!
Thank you appreciate ur response.Only have photos and plane tickets as evidence nothing else will that be enough?

Had my interview this morning in Minneapolis. Not a combo interview as my RoC was resolved in 2022 but brought my wife anyway. Arrived there about 30 min before the scheduled time. Took just a couple of min to get through the security, few more min to check in at the front desk and waited in the lobby for maybe 15 min. My ticket number was called exactly on my scheduled time. The officer was serious but friendly, I guess, as I found out after the interview he loves my home country for its beautiful landscape, etc. Anyway, he swore me in and asked 6 questions:
- One of 4 amendments on voting (18 or older, no $ to vote, women can vote, all race can vote)
- President during WW2
- No. of supreme court justices
- No. of senators
- How many years we elect president for
- One of the 2 longest river
He asked me to say out loud ' Who can vote?' and write 'Citizens can vote.' on the tablet.
Then some yes/no questions from the application followed by where do I live, with whom, where I got married, where I work. Then one final round of yes/no questions from the application. That was it!
I asked him if I passed and he said the software will tell us after confirming some personal information (address, name change, etc). The paper printed saying I passed and have been recommended for citizenship. I then asked about oath ceremonies and he said to wait for a letter in the mail and not to have travel plans for the next couple of weeks.
I came home to check the status update and found two updates:
Status Date Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled January 20, 2023 We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review. January 20, 2023 I guess barring something crazy, I will take my oath soon and this long journey will be over.
Those who are still waiting, good luck!! Shouldn't be too long for you.
My interview is next week on the 17 nervous as he'll but praying everything to go Well. What did u carry for your interview?

My wife filed about the same time and her interview is January 31
It appears USCIS has adopted a last in first out policy for most new N-400 cases. Thus is terrible for those who have waited years and will continue to wait years.
Yeah I can imagine I didn't mind waiting cause I know there some people who have waited 4 long.Thats when we filled was sure that my interview won't be on till mind Summer there on Fall based what am seeing with people cases.

Depends on the workload at your specific field office. Some FO's are very fast with N400's and some quite slow. My wife was in a similar situation as you, filed her N400 in early January 2018, had biometrics a few weeks later, then left the country for a 4-5 week trip to visit the family, she got back in early March and got interview notice shortly after her return for April 10, 2018 and had her oath on June 11th so only about 5.5 months from submission (a paper submission) to oath for the Detroit FO, we had estimated at least 12 months, so we were happy.
Wooow that amazing thank you. Did interview both of u guys?and what kind questions did they ask ur wife?am just trying to row down the questions I should focus on cause it's alot.

Good to hear this will not be an issue for you as rescheduling can be a major pain. You can use your time on your trip to study for the civics test.
Good Luck!

There should be a "documents" section where the I-797 interview letter will be posted.
I just loging on my computer checked.Still saying interview date just saying on January 3/2023 we scheduled an interview 4 u the N400 that they mailed the notice to me with instructions.

Then as @Dashinka wrote it is almost certain you can read the interview letter now if you log into your USCIS account and look at the documents tab.
When lawfully notified me that my wife’s interview was scheduled, we immediately logged into her USCIS account and her interview letter was there in the documents tab. It took a full two weeks before the letter arrived in the mail.
So I would get busy locating that letter on the website. I’ve never heard of an online N-400 bit having the interview letter not posted on the website.
Oooh ok let me go check
