@flyingmamba I assume they gave you no reason as well? My neighbor got information from someone ( I thought it was hilarious, when I asked whom she said a janitor at the convention or conference center) that they had planned on a 600+ people plan to naturalize but later realized it wont be possible so they started cancelling...
They did give reason. I travelled abroad, 10days preceding the ceremony.

@flyingmamba @PaddyGirl13 my neighbor's ceremony on the 6th of May was cancelled, wondering if you heard anything? I thought it was weird they called her on a Saturday?
Just now, flyingmamba said:Actually I did. Mine was de-scheduled. Oversight on my part, I was out of the country preceding 10 days the oath ceremony. I got a call voicemail on the 4th and on the the 5th status changed to "oath cancelled" and few hours later "oath ceremony will be scheduled". I'm guessing it'll be scheduled sometime in June now.

No, I didn't receive any call. Do you know what time their Ceremony was scheduled for?
I got it both through the portal and physical mail.
I got both as well

I guess that’s their option then. Not sure why some folks make travel plans before they got all their documents lined up, but who am I to say what their reasons are. It’s easier to book a flight than it is to get a passport, I wouldn’t be booking any flights until I have mine in my possession, and I would personally be prioritizing my schedule around USCIS as best as possible always, because they’re such a pain in the ### to deal with.
I see your point and agree with it. However, as an airline pilot it's more than just travel plans
I'll pay for same day passport. -

For the combo interivew my letter says to bring the usual documentation,,,taxes, bills, mortgage yadayada...my question to you guys, did you print out monthly bills? like each month? or just a few select bills from random months, say 3 to 4 a year? same question for bank statement...its almost 3 years worth of stuff, I have it all but I mean should i just go by quarterly bills?
I took the most recent only for everything you mentioned and not a single thing was asked besides my partners ID.

They will ask for it to confiscate it right before the oath ceremony. I didn't have one since I had an I-551 stamp, and they even asked me why I had a stamp instead of the card (it was expired, and they took it away when I got the stamp), and they will write the reasons you give them on the top of the N-445 you received.
Speaking of the oath ceremony, as of today, I am officially an American citizen! 🇺🇸
Hi, did they do anything with the I-551 stamp? Like cancel it with a stamp "canceled without prejudice"? I'd be travelling after my oath and can't wait for the passport to arrive in the 6-12 weeks they advertise. Thanks

Yes same place. I'm wondering if they will relax covid rules to allow maybe 1 or 2 to come witness as its in the convention center. I'd love my Husband and Son to be there. Maybe there will be info in the mailed letter.
The online letter says "For the safety and health of everyone, no guests will be permitted."

It's funny that I am more anxious for this appointment more than any of the others, maybe because we are so close to the end of this journey. I've been checking more than I usually would. Hopefully we hear soon!!
Me too! Haha. If see something can you reply here so I get a notification? I'll do the same. Thanks

first how come I never knew a thread for MN was here!!??
If you don't mind me asking some Qs, seems like we have the same issue with the i751 pending and both MSC, did they give you a notice that both will be combined? I applied for N400 in May 2020, got biometric reuse February and 2 days ago got N400 Interview for April 23rd. Nothing saying if both i751 and N400 will be combined. I didn't receive a I751 interview notice requesting my spouse to be present. But others mentioned that it's a combo interview so my spouse came along.
Yet, about 3 weeks ago, I went for a stamp since the 18 months letter expired, the officer did say I can see your N400 is coming soon and you have a pending i751, when they tell you to come here, bring your wife. I have a stamp as well. No big deal at the interview.
Also, when my passport got stamped, they took my expired 2 years GC, now I am worried because I read I will need to surrender it during my oath or have an affidavit from USCIS that they took it?? I don't have that!! Again, not a big deal, the stamp works as GC and most likely they'll cancel the stamp without any prejudice.

My interview was today, recommended for approval. Almost at the end of my immigration journey. In and out of the office in 20 minutes. Officer was very pleasant an overall good experience.
Congrats! What time was yours? We were at 1325. Anyway, fingers crossed for a quick oath ceremony

What were the specific questions they have asked you? how long did you interview take from the time you got in to the time you came out? Thanks for sharing
Got in 15 mins prior to interview. Security was a empty. checked in and were told to wait the numbers don't follow any specific order (which was true, someone after us got called earlier). Waited about 25 mins and were called in ( I have a pending i-751 so went in with my wife). The officer did oath first for both of us followed by a the I-751. Asked a few questions from the form. Then proceeded to the civics test. After 6 questions I did the written test. Then she asked few questions from the form. Where we live, who lives there, trips abroad, where do my parents live. For my job the officer knew I had 100's of trips abroad so wanted to make sure I didn't spend more than 6 months abroad.
I wasn't asked any definitions or anything of that matter. It was a pleasant experience.

Interviewed yesterday. Got the decision cannot be made at this time. I gave updated list of my travel abroad. The officer said she'll approve my case once she adds that in to my application. Haven't had any change to status online.

I did the math and between April 2017 and March 3, 2021 I've been outside the country approximately 410 days. Is that too many?

Yes. The interviewer will probably want to keep a copy of that to add into the file, so make sure it’s the same format as the N400 section on trips.
Thanks so much! I'll keep this thread posted after the interview.
