@valefercrs What are you waiting for?? They're so backlogged that you should have applied for citizenship months ago and start getting in line. You're adding more and more waiting time as months go by, if you wanna be over and done with USCIS apply immediately
-
@prenouveau I really hope so. Interviews at this point are such a waste of time. Now that they're backlogged I really don't know what they'll do. If they hold all the interviews (and biometrics) they'll have twich as much the backlog. They should approve us and that's it. So frustrating that people who filed MUCH later then us already have their GC in hand. This agency is disgusting

@prenouveau I remember you guys were transferred to MSC like me. Did you hear anything from them? Any interview notification? I still haven't heard anything... Just case was transferred.....
-
Hi! Did you get transferred from Vermont? If yes, when and after how long after they transferred you did they schedule your interview? Thanks
-
@TheKingmaker @VeVe @prenouveau Did you guys get interview for your AOS? Maybe that is why they transferred us. I called a TIER 2 officer yesterday and he told me "transferred for regular processing, maybe interview we don't know"... which is quite ridiculous because if they don't know why I was transferred how can I know?.... the joke continuous...
-
Me too. I got transferred to NBC but I haven't filed my N400 yet. I wonder if it's really to speed up the process or to schedule an interview... some people get interviews, some others not...
-
I honestly don't know. Most CR-1 were transferred to Nebraska for an interview. K1 are not usually scheduled for an interview, so far at least.
-
Not necessarily. I also noticed on the case tracker that many cases after mine (bio march 2019) have been approved already and they were not transferred. On friday they approved 5 people after me. It's frustrating because they're supposed to go in the order they receive cases, instead it's lottery-like. Who gets pulled from the shelf gets approved. I would have never thought that dealing with the USCIS would be such a nightmare.

My timeline is there.
Received on 2/8/19 and biometrics in March 2019. Radio silence since then. You would expect more from this "super power" called US. Whatever.

So true. They are embarrassing and ridiculous. People who applied months later have already gotten approved. People who applied in December 2018 are still waiting. At the 18th month if I'm still waiting I'll sue them. This is not even a backlog, they don't have any logic in how they deal with the whole process. At the end of the day, they might send you RFEs, interviews, double interviews but if they don't have anything real to use against you you will receive your 10 GC anyway so why even bother with this whole process. This agency is a joke, period.

It is VERY SMART to get a valid, unexpired form of ID no matter what. You live in the US, get a state ID even if you waste the whole day. You should have done this 3 years ago.

Hi guys! Just got approved yesterday!! It took them 8 months but yesterday I got their notification!! So relieved!!! No interview by the way. Good luck to those who are still waiting!!

Does is happen if you have some red flags? Even for k1 applicants who went through the whole process smoothly?

Hello
I wanted to ask you guys if anyone of you ever received a visit from USCIS people to check if you live together and if it's a normal procedure after you get married. We're leaving together and I'm curious about this. Thank you!

Hi everyone!
I got married last week, I'm filing for my adjustment of status.
My question is: how many marriage certificates do I need to send?
I'm not changing my name.
Some people say 3 (1 for i485, 1 for advance parole and 1 for EAD) some people say originals and not copies. Can you explain for me? Thank you!!

Thank you everyone for your useful tips. We'll consider the cr-1 route. One last question: if I apply for a re-entry permit after I get my green card, Can I go back to Italy and come back to the US before the permit expires? Would that Allow me to retain my GC even if I go back home? I thought of doing this to avoid going thru a similar process As I did for my k1 visa (interviews, consulate appointments etc)
Thanks

Hi guys
I'm getting married with my fiancé (USC), due to work reasons I can't leave my job in my home country, this was unexpected, I already have an approved K1 visa in hand.
What happens if I come back to the US every 6 months, to visit my husband and stay with him for some weeks and go home again?
Technically my trips to the US will be frequent and won't stay out of the US for more than 6 months.. but I would only be present in the US for some months in a year, basically touch-down trip to visit my fiancé and retain my GC... would I be facing problems getting back in?
would they think I abandoned my resident status even if I keep my bank account, fill tax returns etc and trips are shorter than 6 months?
what's the best thing I can do? would I need a re-entry permit?
Thank you very much

Hi everyone
I'll try to make it simple.
My fiancé has some financial issues. I already have a k1 visa and will get married in the US in august.
we're talking about postponing my AOS because we won't be able to rent a place for the next year.
we were thinking about two options:
1- get married and then I'll return to my home country (Italy) and wait for him to have enough money to start living together.
2 - get married and file for AOS. Once I get my green card, I'll go back to my home and come back to the US to visit him quite often but basically keep living in Italy so I can keep my green card until better times comes.
he lives with his parents and it's impossible for us to live at his place with them because we're a gay couple and his parents are against our marriage.
now, what happens if I go back to Italy without filing for AOS? We'd still be married, can we file for AOS even if I live in Italy after many different months or would he have to sponsor me for a K3 visa and start the process all over again?
if I come back to the US for frequent visits (without being away from the US for more than 6 months) will I face problems getting back in? I would still be his husband.
Please clarify this situation for us, we don't know what to do.
Thank you very much

Hello everyone!
I wanna update you guys!
The speed of the whole thing is crazy! I got my case number 2 days ago (2 weeks after my noa2) and today my application has been received by the consulate in Italy and the website says "ready"! OMG! I didn't expect this to be so fast!
Are you concerned about your noa2 expiring before entering the US? All of our noa2s should expire around february.. will you be asking for it to be extended or are you relying on your visa validity? I don't know what to do
-
Hi everyone! I have a question! I got my noa2. I can't leave for the US until August 2016. How can I schedule my interview like in February? If I send all the required documents now, will they schedule the interview automatically after they get the documents or do you get to choose when to have it?
Thanks!!

Thanks!! I'm just a bit confused now! I read some posts where people talked about their "alien registration number".. what is that? are we getting that with our noa2 or later?
thanks!

Guys, anyone who couldn't take the oath on the same day because the system was down? I had a pending i751 and couldn't approve me on the spot. It's been a week from my n400 interview and no update yet. Should I be worried?
