This is the type of thing you file without planning (like to live with us)and forget for at least a decade. By the time he is able to apply for his visa, he will be almost a 30 year old man may be with a wife/gf and multiple kids. Brotherly bond may change or sister-in-laws may not like each other at all. Sponsorship requirement could go from 1 to 5. So just have your husband file for it now, set a timer for 13 years, and forget about it till then.

File asap, a long process, but pretty simple.

Annual F4 visa issuance is limited by law and the queue of applicants waiting is way higher than the quota, meaning it is currently around a 15-year wait - visas are currently available to those whose cases were filed by March 2007. This wait could well get longer looking ahead as the queue seems to generally grow over time, but the quota does not.

My husband had his interview today and he was approved!!! 😁
 
The interview was very straight forward, he was asked 6 “simple” civics questions and then did the written test. Then they went over the application. Since we recently moved he had to verify that the whole family moved and not just himself and sign off on documents confirming this. I’ve already gotten email about Oath being scheduled, and hope to have that date in the next couple days. So thankful everything went so smoothly!

My husband had his interview today and he was approved!!! 😁

Since we recently moved he had to verify that the whole family moved and not just himself and sign off on documents confirming this. I’ve already gotten email about Oath being scheduled, and hope to have that date in the next couple days. So thankful everything went so smoothly!

Just got notification email this morning that my husband's interview has been scheduled!!! Finally. Still don't have the date, but I'm sure it will be online in the next day or two. Just excited that there has been movement. We're still showing February 2020 as expected completion date.

I 100% agree with you, there needs to be consistency across the board no matter where you live.
