I got an email about a document I had requested (I thought they could send the case transfer notice again cuz I couldn't find it or remember where it had transferred to). In the email they said "case has been approved.  Document will be sent in next 30 days". I about cried I was so excited.  I'm also super sad that my husband isn't here to see it (he committed suicide in October,  almost a year to the date we filed).

So sorry for your loss. We will try to help you the best we can. I think you need to convert the form into a waiver and you need to have the death certificate ready. I would try to schedule a infopass appointment to explain it to the officer. Also, call them up and ask how you should proceed.

Mark it as a gift and the stated value should be below $60 to prevent them from being charged duty on the package.
USPS has three boxes that are priced per box no matter how much it weighs. Best for sending super heavy items as they are fairly expensive.

falcngrl got a reaction from Unshakable Faith in Can my USC spouse move "our" goods to US before I get my visa?
As an aside though, $1000/week for storage? I packed my stuff in a Ubox storage is $159/month and they can move it too

falcngrl got a reaction from oncefuturealien in Police Information Check--Multiple Names
My interviewer was really focused on my police check and thought I should have had two other last names (that I never used but were prior spouses) included. On the Toronto police check form there were options for previous names used. I'd suggest sending what you have but getting a new one before the interview.
