    Hi everybody,

I never wanted to be that person, the one that questions timelines and is anxious about getting mail. Well, here I am...

There is not one answer to this, but I'd like to hear of a couple experiences.

At my interview I got the 'Decision cannot yet be made' (I believe it was the luck of the draw which IO I got, but oh well).
A day later my status changed to 'Attended interview'.
6 days after interview my status changed to 'We approved your application. We will mail you your oath invitation'.
It has been more than 2 weeks without any update, status change or mail (oath invitation). I know 2 weeks is nothing, but I'm soooo close to the end and just can't wait until it is finally over...

So, friends, after getting 'Decision cannot yet be made' and then 'We approved...'how long did it take for you to get the oath invitation?

    Thank you in advance!!

Check your local office cases to get an idea.  In Philadelphia , approved on July 3rd and oath was July 15th.

I am preparing to apply for N-400 while I-751 is still pending. How do I request the N-400 and I-751 combo interview?

Is there a specific form I should file for that or do I just write a letter and attach to my online application?

(I am assuming the online application accepts attachments)

    Thanks in advance

Did you receive any notice that your I-751 was transfer to NBC?  If yes, you would expect that they NBC will send both your I-751 and  N-400 to local office

Yes, I am still serving in the military (honorably), and I am sure they have all my files, I guess my question is during supervisory review, what do they look at? do they still conducting more background checks? or just simply reviewing what happened in my initial interview? Thank you.

I have no knowledge of supervisory review process, but supervisor can request more check on your N-400 and also if the IO officer who interviewed your , if not thoroughly knowledgeable about Military applications, they might be assigning someone for another interview ( My guess).  However, since everything in your N-400 is fine as IO said during your first interview and you are serving in the military honorably, I will just go for second interview with all the paper work ( original).    Our country has highest respect for military personal and you will be fine.

Thank you again, do you think if I call the hotline and ask, will they tell me what it is that they want to see me for? because I want to be prepared when I go again.

You may call and talk , but I doubt they would  be able to provide any information.  You application is Military based.  Is your background or Military records are clean, since they will check your military background.  Did you separate from Military or still working for Military?

Hi dilip, thank you for the reply, the notice they sent me yesterday was look the same as the first one, although they did specifically said it is a re-interview, other then that no other comment or reasons given. The IO went through my n400 and then took the history and civil test and that was it, he even said I should be expecting oath letter in two weeks, instead of getting that I got this reinterview letter.

The standard process is that IO after interview recommend the approval and his supervisor has to approve it and most of the cases , supervisor accept IO's recommendation.  May be they need some kind of in-person clarification from you, I will stay optimistic and go for the interview again.

Hi guys, can you please help me with these 2 questions?

    1.  Any idea on how to provide employment history?

Back in 2014/2015, I received both W2's and 1099. How should I provide this information? Also Do I write selfemployed, and my home address ?- You will submit tax transcript, if you are self employed or unemployed any time you can write it

Also, looks like dates overlapping each other can't be added.  - Just start with next day.

Anyone else had the same situation?

    2.  Do we need to mention about Speed camera tickets? - one with your car license plate picture, and sent to your house. Yes to all tickets and write details.  It is alright to have few traffic tickets.  Will have no issue to get citizen.

I have a traffic ticket from 2009, for illegal U turn at red light.  I am confused about the below questions. I know q23 is YES, but others not sure. Yes to q23, since you bed cited with traffic tickets.

    • Q 22:  Have you Ever committed, assisted in committing, or attempted to commit , a crime or offense for which you were NOT arrested? Y/N?
    • Q 23: Have you ever been arrested, cited or detained by any law enforcement officer for any reason? YES
    • Q 24: Have you ever been charged with committing, attempting to commit, or assisting in committing a crime or offense ? Y/N?
    • Q 25: HAVE YOU EVER BEEN CONVICTED OF A CRIME OR OFFENSE? Y/N?

    Thanks in advance!

My spouse got a greencard through me and they have been an LPR for 2 years now. We dont live together for a legitimate reason: I got accepted into a school that is far and that required me to move out of our house we share so that I can attend.

Can they somehow apply for a passport in 3 years or no since we dont live together?

Wait for the ROC to be approved.  Keep visiting each other and keep financial intermingling

    Hello friends,
I am preparing to apply for U.S. citizenship under the 3 year rule and I have a question.
In the "Where have you lived" section, I enter my residence history as necessary.
My situation is that I have two addresses of family members that I used in the past as a mailing address, (now I have a POBOX) Do I have to enter those 2 addresses or can I ignore that?

I never lived there, i don't have any type of evidence (meaning Lease, etc...) but the addresses appear in my credit records as former address.
Given this information, what would you savvy people recommend?
Do I need to wait longer?

    Thanks!!

Could not understand your question?  Currently, do you live with family member's house or do you have your own place?

Request for initial evidence and evidence of support for Biological child.

They would like to make sure that you provided child support and if the child is less than 18 years, you are still providing child support, but if court order says that you do not have to provide child support, you need to provide that count settlement document.  USCIS takes it very seriously.

Just bring the new passport to the GE interview. I changed citizenships/passports after conditional approval and just told the CBP officer about it.  She added my US passport info in my account. I also brought the passport that I used for the application.

Another quick question:  Can I have interview after coming from an International trip ( Philadelphia) at any time of the day or night or I have to come between 12 noon to 8 PM when they are open as per the global entry website?

  13. On 7/31/2019 at 2:57 PM, Bill & Katya said:

An update regarding the interview.  It was very perfunctory, the CBP officers simply reviewed the application information (full name, birth date, place of birth, current address, work and travel history) and if there are any errors, they can be corrected.  One thing that was different is that on the electronic form, you cannot include Canada and Mexico in the travel history section, but the officer did include these (if it was applicable) on the form they were using.  Then the photo, finger prints and out the door.  They told us we would get the GE card in 10-14 days, but once it was fully approved, one's passport should already work.  The entire process took less than 10 minutes and they were nice at the Port Huron office as we arrived 45 minutes prior to our appointment time (I thought it was 12 noon), but they took care of us right away.

    Good Luck!

I am conditionally approved and interview in Jan 5, 2020?

[1] Can I renew my passport before global entry interview?  [2] Once I will get the new passport , do I have to add the new passport information?
