    Hey guys,

My husband and I recently moved to an area that is not so in the middle of nowhere so I'm gathering my paperwork to file for my citizenship, however I am from a country that was included in the travel ban. Everything I've read about the topic points to the travel ban not being an issue for permanent residents, but I've been out of the immigration game for so long, I honestly just want to double check and make sure.

    Thanks!

You are right, travel ban is not an issue for permanent residents.

Thank you for the answer. My flight is actually tonight but I'm thinking about calling the USCIS to ask if it will affect my case since the IO already questioned my continuous residence during my interview. I had my interview last Aug.7 but got RFE cause I was out of the country for 18 months after filing for N-400. I just got approved last Sept. 12.

You will not get any clear answer by calling the USCIS, you need to make your decision.   You just need to disclose your overseas travel during oath ceremony and take proof of passport stamp of travel and ticket

i go to the mosque for prayer only. Does this mean I should have answered yes to the question that asks about if I am part of any group or organization etc?

does it worth changing this at the interview?

    thank you

No, it is not an organization or group, it is a religious place.  So answer no and if you only going to  your religious place for prayer, why are you thinking to change this at the interview?

If your I-751 is pending and you apply for N-400, usually, they will pull out your I-751 and will be in NBC and when your N-400 is ready for interview, they will send them together for approval.  Did you get any notice about any transfer

Follow your local center's N-400 applicants to guess your actual interview time.  Mine was Feb 2020 as per online account, but done in July 2019.  Hope you applied online.

I am Dec 2017 Filer and I got my I-551 Stamp about a month ago. I see a lot of cases around my number are getting approved and a few RFE's. My Case # is WAC18087004XX. I'll wait another month and then call USCIS or reach out to my Representative to get more information. I did file my N400 which shows as currently being processed earlier in Feb this year so I might probably get a combo interview. I just don't know when as per USCIS N400 status it says in about 5 months. Hopefully within August 2020.

  6. They above post may not be directly related to you, but may get some clue about how to get court order and also search other post.

[1] Why did you omit your daughter information in N-400 form?

[2] They would like to see that you did not abandon your child and you have no financial obligation

[3] Is your name in your daughter birth certificate?

[4] How much time they gave you to submit the RFE?

[5] Can you get count order from your country?

The father has custody, we are not married i was abused that’s why I left and he doesn’t want to give me my child when i tried talking to him. He will only give the child once i go back to him. So it’s a no for me. And up until now he doesn’t want me to have a communication with my daughter. I did try to send her some monetary through my friend but he got angry and threatened my friend. I’m sorry if this sounds weird to you. I was just wondering where can i get the court order that the USCIS is asking?

We are getting ready to submit the N-400  I just saw this on another website. Did anyone actually do the formatting to match original document? And put the dashes in place? Or did you just translate the information ?

The translation must match the visual format of the  (original ) document. For example the translation of an official seal must appear on the same place on the page as the actual document.

The document must be translated directly including signatures, dashes, seals, stamps, etc.

I do not think so.  When you translate from other language to English, it will change.  As long as the content are same and dates are same, you will be fine.  What documents you are going to translate?

I want to apply but I am not sure how much evidence they will require because it will be marriage based and since most bills will be separated due to the relocation I am scared they will think that our marriage is not bonafide. My wife did a terrific job putting together all the evidence for the previous processed but now since I am moving we did the following changes:

    - closed bank accounts - we moved to Discover for saving purposes but I think I can add her although her direct deposit goes to her personal Bank of America account this is just for financial purposes

    - different car insurance policy

    - different driver license

    - no joint apartment lease

    - different health insurance

    - we cancelled our AAA policy

I do have all this evidence as joint since 2014 to Jul 2019 but just last month we split the stuff because of the relocation

Hello my wife (USC) and I have been married since October 2014 and I have been a resident since 07/2016. I have my 10 year GC and I understand that I can apply under the 3 year rule, we havent done so since we have had so many expenses lately and I am now being relocated to another state and she will be staying in our current state, we live in an apartment and since I am moving she will be moving with her mom, this will be only temporarily and it just because my job is forcing me to move. In my new state the N400 processing time is shorter and I was thinking on applying there, since we will be living in different states most of our bills will have to be splitted, car insurance, my rent in the new apartment is just me, she is getting the health insurance from her job instead of mine, etc... We will be flying back and forward to visit each other... My questions are:

    1. Should I apply in my new state after 3 months?

    2. Should I move all of her documents to my new apartment? Driver License Car insurance? Add her on the lease?

    3. Should I just wait for the 5 year rule? We will still be married, all of our process so far have been long but with no complications

I dont mind waiting is just that we want to start the process for my mom and my wife told me that they might be removing that process soon also when we travel we have to go through different lines and what not.

You can apply for 3 year rule and if you move to new state and apply, yes you need to wait 3 months ( make sure one or two days after 3 months).  Why wait, if you are eligible , apply and done with it and would be able to vote in Nov 2020.

Um..... ok. I can’t even pretend to understand this reasoning, and how you plan to marry someone in February but you don’t know who yet, but good luck.

MegentaLife posted honestly  about his situation in this board to get immigration related help.  Le'st help him what ever way we can related to immigration only ( my opinion )

Thanks  dilip! Tier 2 officer could not even see rfe in the system. That’s why she sent a request for the field office to resend the notice. So u don’t think I should call Monday morning and see if they can cancel that request for second copy?? Hopefully he gets the oath ceremony notice soon! I feel like we are so close.

Then no need to call, call around Friday to get any status update.  However, I am very hopeful that your application is fine , USCIS can’t schedule the oath without those signed documents.  Once the will receive it, you will get update under review & then you will get oath letter.

  13. You already sent the proper documentation and you did the right thing to send my express mail with tracking.  If they send the second copy, just keep it with you and do not send it.  After few days, just call Tire 2 officer and confirm that  USCIS received your letter and it went to your fine.   I am very hopeful that after they received your paper work, they will schedule oath ceremony.

Wait, you got divorced a few months ago and you already have a new wife lined up?  One that I presume you want to sponsor for a green card?

    hmmm

May be fall in love has no proper time line.  It will take time for him to bring his wife or fiance to US.  So by then , it will be more than a year of divorced and hopefully, he will heal by that time.
