Wow - I'm rather surprised you got an RFE with your list!

We sent our package in today - 3 pounds 12.7 ounces worth. We did send joint ownership documents for our cat, which we imported from Australia.

Bona fide is Latin for "good faith" - Bona = good, and "fide" (fee-day) is faith or steadfastness. It's the same root used in the English word "fidelity".

We sent in bank statements from the month we married (with my spouse's old surname), and the quarterly statements after that (after my spouse changed her surname to mine). I have read that it is important to send EVERY page of the statement (even though I know I killed several trees in the process).

    We did not send affidavits.

Good luck. Your letter actually made my heart skip a beat or two....

I am also surprised that they got an RFE. :(

How do I get to a live agent?

    From the USCIS website:

    Call following number: 1 (800) 375-5283

    Live Assistance - Tier 2

If the customer has spoken with the CSR at a Tier 1 Contact Center and has not been able to obtain a resolution, the call may be escalated to a Tier 2 Contact Center if applicable.

Tier 2 is staffed by USCIS officers with access to applicable USCIS systems. USCIS officers may also escalate callers to a supervisor when necessary.

Hi everyone in the forum. My window for I-751 will be opening first week of February but am still gathering my documents. Meanwhile, I have few questions to ask and will really appreciate positive answers from you guys. First, am I required to photocopy my foreign passport data page to add with other document?  Also, should I add the photocopy of my US wife passport data page along with other documents.

Another question is based on the USCIS Form I-751....PART 4 at 2.a Family Name (Last Name ) of my US wife, am I going to her maiden name or her married name since she has done the name change?

Concerning pictures from our daily activities, should I print them on 4 x 12 colored and then write the events at the back or just to photocopy the pictures of A4 paper (black and white) . Last but not least, in submitting bank statements or credit cards photocopy and their statements, should blank the account number, available balance and the debit cards digits or should I leave them open.

Thank you guys as I wait patiently on your positive response.

Hi, no need to send a copy of your passport. Front and back of GC is required.

Pictures -> Paste them on a Word document and color print them with a regular printer using paper sheets. (Include a caption for each photo with date, place and a brief description)

USCIS wants to see financial co-mingling more than they want to see pictures.

Not sure about the other questions. Good luck to you!

They didn't list those as something they received in the RFE. I would send them again.

If there is anything you sent that ISN'T listed in the RFE, resend it.

I agree. I did send so many things that weren't mentioned on my RFE letter. So resend what they didn't mention on the letter.

    Got approved in December 2018.

Good luck!!! Enjoy your trip. (And like VJ friends mentioned collect as many evidence before you leave)

Well, i was travelling through Lufthansa. I reached the destination without any issues. When i was travelling back, they said i will not be able to travel since Lufthansa does not allow you to travel to US through Germany with the extension letter. they did not allow me even though i explained the situation and i was travelling with my baby as well.. since i had to reach US the same day i had to book another flight and travel.

Wow, that's werid. Sorry to hear. I traveled multiple times with Lufthansa (Frankfurt Airport). No issues with the extension letter.

Thank you all for taking the time to read my story and replying with the best that you can. I prepped all my documents (evidence) and I have a local lawyer will be going with me and I'll take your advice and ask for a waiver right away. I will keep you updated tomorrow and I will let you know tomorrow when I get back what happened.

    Thanks to you all.

    How was your interview?

    Keep us updated please!

Well my friend, your case is extremely complicated at this point, you MUST get in contact with an experienced immigration lawyer IMMEDIATELY. I never heard of a lawyer telling their client what to do and having them doing it on their own, they’re supposed to represent you, your job is to come up with all the supporting evidence and THEY present it. Your never supposed to file roc without a lawyer if there was a divorce. I watch an immigration lawyer on fb, give him a call and have a consultation but then again the appointment is tomorrow 🤔 idk call his office and see: Brad Berstein 18005295465

Many divorce waivers get approved without an lawyer...
