  1. Good day! I dont know when I am going to fill up my ds260. We paid the IV fee and in their system its already paid but my online payment portal is not yet updated until now. My related case (cr2) is already case completed last week but because of my ds260 I cant still finish my IV Application. I don't have any problems on my AOS and civil docs except my ds260. When we called at the NVC they said we need to wait but until when? :( We always follow up my Ds260 but they dont give any accurate answer. Is the nvc give checklist on ds260? Is there any member who has the same situation like my case? Kindly give me some advices.

Thank you and God blessed to all :)

look at my timeline below , it ll answer all your question

also could you please set up your timeline so people can answer you accordingly

and Big YES you ll get a check list for missing ds260 no matter what

  2. Hello, i pray this message reach you in a good health, i have a question , my sister entered USA California with CR1 she is married to US citizen she is permanent resident , she got her California identification card month ago, we got confused with the expiration date in her identification card and her driver licence, she got 2 years in her identification card , and different expiration date in her driver licence , is this how they supposed to be? Eid said to all of you

    Salam

its not confusing to me as the ID ( la carte ) has different expiration date than the driver id ( permit )

in my state ( PA ) i was issued 2 years for ID and 5 or 4 years for driver id .

may be its different in your state but you can always go check with dvm for more explanation

    Aid mobarak saaid

  3. I called yesterday, my iv/aos documents has already been review, yet I still can't pay the IV fees online or fill out the 260, I have a feeling they will send me a checklist for ds-260 and I'm afraid this will be another 30 days to re-review.

If they start reviewing your docs , you ll get a checklist for missing ds-260 .hope not but sure they ll send you one

  4. But can it be paid through mail with no invoice? I wish they would just email me the invoice already.

1)you need the invoice so you can attach it with the cashier check or money order

    2) did you try to call the them , have them put your case in their special spreed sheet ( supr will take a look at it and then issue you the invoice manually , but the key is to call them everytime at least thats what i did

  5. hey any sign of CC for your case? still waiting grrrrrr

Not yet , it looks like im not the only one in your world lol , im still waiting as its been only 13 days as of now so i still have to wait another 15 days

what about you ?? could you please set up your timeline so we can track your progress

    good luck

NVC mentioned in the interview appointment letter that NVC do not received Original Birth Certificate but they received Photocopy, they said that we need to present Original Birth Certificate at the time of interview, my question is, we have already submitted Original Birth Certificate to the NVC at time of when we sent DS-260, what to do now?? please share you experience!

    Thanks in advance!

better be safe than sorry , get another original birth certificate

  7. We called every day for almost 2 weeks and kept explaining the situation. Somehow this afternoon we received an invoice via email that was dated yesterday! Maybe complaining in this forum is good luck... So maybe keep calling and explaining the situation... we are unable to pay online, but at least we can send in the money with the attached invoice.. at least we'll wait 40 days for something else :-p hope it helps you too.

via mail takes 21 days to be processed not 40 days however most of time takes less than a week to be recorded once its been received by NVC

    good luck

  8. Hello to all!

I'm writing to all of you because i dont know what to do, i'm right on the 23rd day of the 30 day waiting, and i'm thinking

in call to NVC and ask if they know something, but my fear is that they tell me to wait one more week, so... what would you

recommend me? Call or nor call?

you made it sound like you have a big problem :content: , what are you going to lose if you call , your case could have been completed by now

  9. Hello everyone!

I am new here and I am from Germany and married to my husband Brian from New York for 3 years. We have a great relationship and wanted to live together, so when he changed jobs and made enough money, we could finally file for the IR Visas. I also have a little son from a previous marriage, but my Ex and I are still very good friends and he supports me in my decision to live with my husband in the US.

We filed the I-130 and without any problems it was approved and it went rather fast. They were really friendly at the USCIS and did everything smoothly and fast. But then, the National Visa Center took over and they royally screwed up our case. My paper work got processed very fast, but my son`s they really ruined. I don´t know if they can`t read or what, but they listed my son as my husbands brother, although it was stated clearly in the paperwork that he is my son. And they wrote a letter that there are no visas available for siblings of US-Citizens right now.

We called them and told them that he needs to be filed as my son, like it is written in the paperwork the USCIS sent to them. They checked on it and apoligized and admitted it was their fault and they did a mistake. Well, it is almost a year ago and until now they haven`t corrected that mistake although we called several times and asked for it to be corrected as we can not move on otherwhise. They said it can take years to correct a mistake like that. I thought they were kidding me. I have never heard anything like that before. They made a mistake and now we have to wait years to process with everything. I am about to giving up and do not wanna immigarte anymore. This is so ridiculous.....

Has anybody else had problems with the NVC? Or that their case got screwd up...I am really, really discouraged.

    1) keep calling the NVC till you get the supervisor if not

    2) talk with you senator if n

    3) take your case to the media

    4) take those bunch of lazy , stupid people to the court

  10. Hi Everyone,

Has anyone been unable to pay the DS-260 Invoice? My husband and I had our DS-261 approved and have been waiting over 2 weeks for the generation of an email invoice because the NVC computer system is having technical problems generating and emailing the invoice...

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and how long we will be stuck for... ? The problem was sent to a supervisor last week (apparently its a known problem)... wondering if we should be hopeful...?

    Hi

I dont know if you re aware of the technical issue that the website has been experiencing for almost 2 months, anyway try to call the NVC 603-334-0888 and tell them you need to pay IV fee

    good luck

  11. Ok - How many checklist you got? and what is the checklist was for? not paying the IV fee or not filling DS-260? or you got both checklists? how long it takes them to re-review your whole package? is it going to take another 30 days for a review?

What do you think, which is better wait to pay IV fee online or go ahead and mail a check of the IV fee?

Sorry, too many questions, but I appreciate you if you can help me understand the process.

    Thank you.

    1) i only got DS-260 checklist

    2) 30 days ( Standard ) but mine was 24 days

    3) if you got a check list , they ll take another 30 days to review it however sometimes take less

    3) i paid both fees via mail , and both of them were received by nvc in 5 days and showed as paid in the next day

    4) most of applicant are able to pay the fee online however if you still unable to do that online , i recommend you to call NVC have them put your case in the spreed sheet to have your fees and ds-260 fixed

    good luck

  12. I called yesterday, my iv/aos documents has already been review, yet I still can't pay the IV fees online or fill out the 260, I have a feeling they will send me a checklist for ds-260 and I'm afraid this will be another 30 days to re-review.

yes if they already reviewed your docs and you have not paid neither the fee nor fill out the 260 , its automatically a checklist , look at my timeline

  13. I have an IR-5 case (sponsoring a parent of USC) at NVC awaiting interview scheduling. Case was completed couple weeks ago.

Yesterday in the afternoon I missed a call from 603-334-9400. Has anyone experienced this?

When I call the number back it says this is a non-working number of US department of state. I called NVC (which has a very similar number) and they said they have nothing new for me, and don't know who called me or why.

I checked CEAC site today after 2 weeks of not checking, and I finally got 3 N/As. I am the petitioner and the agent on the case.

usually the official agency leaves a voice mail with a brief msg when they call , i personally dont think the US Department called or will call you , if i were you i would ignore it , probably its a scam

    good luck

  14. Dear All,

VJ has always been a great resource for my journey. I am currently stuck and I need your help on this. So thanks in advance.

I am currently applying for CR1 visa. I sent my supporting documents (Financial and Civil Documents) to NVC approximately one month ago. At that time I did not filled the DS-260 because of the technical issue that was causing users to not access DS-260.

I filled the DS-260 on 7 July 2015 and today I received following email(checklist) from NVC:

    Page1:

    Dear _______________:

We reviewed the documents you submitted to us. This letter has a list of documents that are missing or that need additional information. Please review the instructions and send us the required information. If you do not provide this information, it will delay your immigrant visa interview.

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________ All traveling immigrant visa applicants on your case are required to complete and submit the DS-260 Online Immigrant Visa Application. Even if you previously filled out a DS-230, Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Form, you must now complete the DS-260 in order to be eligible for a visa interview. You will find instructions for submitting all required forms and supporting civil documents on our website http://nvc.state.gov/. Please note the applicant will need the following information to access and complete DS-260: NVC case number Invoice identification number Beneficiary identifcation number for each traveling applicant If you are unsure of, or no longer have the required identification numbers, please contact the NVC by email at asknvc@state.gov or by telephone at 603-334-0700 and we will provide them to you. Your case may be involved with paperless processes for submitting forms and documents. At this time, the availability of paperless processing is limited to selected U.S. Embassies and Consulates. A list of participating embassies and consulates can be found on http://nvc.state.gov/.

What should I do now. Since I have already submitted the DS-260 application should I send the "Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application Confirmation" page downloaded the ceac website along with the printed copy of the whole ds-260application?

Secondly what should be the order of the reply of this email

    1. National Visa Center Case Number Barcode Cover Sheet (Page2)

    2. The Letter (page 1)

    3. Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application Confirmation

    4. Printed copy of the whole ds-260 application

I shall be highly grateful to you for helping me out on this.

Im in the same situation look at my timeline , NVC could have reviewed your docs before you submitted your ds-260 , its a normal email you get when the computer finds a missing item , so i recommend you to call the NVC and verified thats the only checklist you have , regarding the ds-260 it till take 30 days to be reviewed or less , by the way i tried to waive the 30 days as i claimed that chkl was a false one since i was not able to do it but the sup did not approve my request

    good luck

  15. I've completed my DS-260. Now we are ready to send all our documents, I want to know that should we only submit photocopy of our documents (birth certificate, marriage certificate etc.)? and bring originals to interview, OR should we send photocopy and original to NVC? I previously read somewhere that one have to send originals documents to NVC too, (I'm from Bangladesh)

    Just photocopy of the original
