So since we still cant log in to ceac website and choose an agent, I decided to call that other number given by NVC. Put on hold for like 5 minutes before a human picked up. Asked for security questions, etc, then I told the rep that I wanted to fill out ds261 over the phone coz were still having problem logging in. I appointed my husband as agent and voila! It's done. She said to mail in AOS fee and to wait for the IV fee to be generated. She told me to wait for 7 days. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that '7 days'. Lol. I'm so happy right now! ???

glad it worked for you as i remember you were having a lot of troubles with it , by the way i mailed mine and they got it on 6/01 and cash it 6/02 , im might be lucky but they cash it so fast .

Thats good news, that it changed to "paid" after only a few days! think we are going to mail in ours then.

if you still not able to do pay them online , go ahead and mail them , just make sure its either a cashier check which i did or money order

I was able to pay the AOS and fill out the DS-261 on May 29th... This is the part that might interest everyone.... I called NVC yesterday to ask about delays due to all the cases bunching up... The agent said "we're not behind" when asked how could this be her reply was "we are fixing this is groups"... So it appears that the system is not broken but they are slowing the process and will be allowing people to proceed with the process at their convienance so hang on... Your day is coming

Just a note folks... The day it opened up for us, we sent in all of our documents AOS and IV... I told the agent what I did... She said "very smart". I was also told that it'll take month for the choice of agent to be reviewed... HOWEVER.... She said just call back next week and they'll approve it on the phone and open up the IV bill... I hope this helps

I did that too , choose the agent on 28th and sent my Docs (AOS & IV ) on 24th , i mailed the AOS fee since i was not able to do before 28th and they received it 6/01 and cash it 6/02 , NOW AOS showing PAID

Just to give you a heads up , mailing the Fees is not a bad option specially if you can not pay them online

Its my 3rd month at NVC and still couldn't pay the iv fee online. Would that be ok to send all our aos and iv documents before paying the iv fee and completing the ds260? God speed to all of us.

yes you can do that as long as you attach the bar code from the AOS

Did you pay the AOS fee ?? If so it has the same bar code as IV but its better to be safe than sorry , give the NVC a call and ask them to email you the the invoice

Hello i have Question about The i-864Ez My wife made in 1 hour 8.15 but she will going to be up like 9.25 in one hour do you think that Enough and we dont need joint sponsor And what forms can be better for us if you cant have joint sponsor (I-864/i-864ez/i-864a/i-864w/i-864p So Now We in Step pay Aos Fee But We Did not submit the ds-260 To The Nvc For Now Im not sure we can Send The all documents in one time like are documents Support and our financial documents together Please anyone could help i will be thankful.

I think 9h per hours for 12months period would be enough ( it gets around 19000 a year ) , however she should be able to know how much she made from the last year tax as thats what she is going to use for AOS Documents

The I864 is the common one used if the sponsor is the petitioner

I did what you say I told them my case assigned on 4/30 and I send a lot of email to asknvc to review my ds 261 and I didnt get any respond , she told me I have to wait I tell her I want to talk to superviser because I waited too long .. she hold me on the phone and then she assigned me as an agent and they will send me invoice shortly

Yea probably takes a few days before they get scanned, but call and check. I called and they told me over the phone.

Cover sheet on top yes I did everything as a big package in a folder and followed the cover sheet with numbers 1-4 which included AOS and IV things

by the way once you submit your ds261 , called them and have them to review it , explain to them that you have not been to log in for a weeks

yea, from USCIS website. We did the i864EZ.

They were delivered the 22nd and scanned at NVC on the 28th and they told me it takes 30 days for them to review.

Mine were delivered on 26th but they have not been scanned as of now ( i guess i ll give them a week )

by the way when you sent them the packages , did you use two envelops ( AOS and IV ) and then put them on a big one ?

if so did you put the Cover sheet on the top of the big envelop or on AOS & IV ??

Yes absolutely. I was told to do the same and so I have. They scanned my documents on the 28th of May. Still can't log in but hope I can soon. Called them today and they said again that was Ok. So no worries!

Someone told me that i have to wait till i pay the Aos fee then it ll generate a I864 form for me Which i did not believe him.

Hey Everyone,

My DS261 and AOS fee were recorded as submitted and paid by the Department of State on May 17th. I got an email notification about both. On the CEAC website, the DS261 is listed as COMPLETED and the AOS fee is listed as PAID.

I am getting my AOS and IV packages together. The IV fee and DS260 have still not been enabled for me on the CEAC website. If I have my papers ready in the next few days, and the IV fee and DS260 are still not enabled, should I send them anyway? How long after filling out the DS261 should it take until the IV fee and DS260 are enabled? When should I start calling the NVC to ask questions?

as long as you have paid the AOS fee , you can send both Documents (AOS & IV ) just make sure to put the bar code on the top of your packages

I sent my AOS & IV documents before paying the fees as all of you know that the website has been experiencing some technical issues

so i called the NVC agent and was told that i could as long as i attach a the cover sheet that they sent me through email

P.S( Cover sheet has the AOS bill as well as the a list of the Documents that i need & bar code with the case number )

i put the cover sheet on the top of the packages as they required

is it ok what i did ??

I just called the NVC and i asked them that i have been waiting 3 weeks to log in to choose the agent , and i told them that i need to review my ds 261 which she did , by the way i submitted the form 261 on last Friday and i had it review today (Monday ) so just to give you a heads up , if you keep insisting to have it review they ll do it for you

calling nvc today again.. Mine was assigned may 13. Have you talked to NVC?

Mine was assigned on 14th and i was able to choose the agent and i have seen people were assigned on 19 , 20th of may and were able to choose the agent and pay the fee

yes you can send the documents before you paid the IV fees and fill the DS260 form

It is better that way as the 60 days review start once they receive the Documents. If you wait till after you pay the fees to send in documents. that is more time you are waiting

Just make sure you send the AOS and the IV packets together . You can use the AOS document cover sheet, you will need one sheet for each packet .Send both packets to the address on that cover sheet. Also include the NVC document checklist cover sheet with packets.

how did you know the scan date ?

5 months is a fairly short time thus far. Most are about a year, and some people have to wait several years.

Hopefully the DOS gets the website fixed soon. Looks like some people are able to get into the website.

Just tried and i logged in , i chose the agent and since i mailed the AOS fee i did not want to pay it , so you ll be able soooon

I doubt that anyone has gotten through... And let alone pay their bill... Not to say that anyone is a liar but paying both the AOS & IV bills at the same time? Highly unlikely because the AOS has to be competed first and completed before the IV is billed... I also talked to a agent and was told that no one is getting in....

i think the bill for IV will be issued after the DS-Form 261 is reviewed , i have seen people logged in coupled days ago . but those had their case number assigned on April

The agent answer is funny , the time frame between tomorrow or a few weeks is a big difference , i still cant believe that a gov website has been down for almost a month.

Ok , so just to give you a heads up , if you contact them via Email , it ll take them for ever to answer you , its better to do it through phone , in case you can not , i can tell you whats going on with their website , currently is still down and may be it ll be down for another week or two , so the b est option for you to do is to send an email to asknvc@state.gov and explain to them whats going and you want to appoint yourself or your wife/husband as an agent . thats what i was told and that what i did
