    good luck

  2. Hey guys. I submitted my DS-261 online on 6th of August, but when I called yesterday, they just told me they can't review it over the phone right now because they do not have any access to my case. Did that happen to you?

Any idea how soon they will be able to review our DS-261 over the phone? Or how long it usually takes for them to review it?

Also, do we have to request a supervisor to review it or the operator itself would be able to review it?

    Thanks!

DS-261 takes up to 42 days to be reviewed but i have seen many times people had their reviewed in about a week including me , but you re not eligible for supervisor review yet but you can try calling them everyday till you have it reviewed

  3. I'm sorry I know this is serious but OMG "what the falafel". That is my new word. Too cute. Sorry not laughing at you. We must keep our humor through the tears right.

    This week people. Hang on.

Falafel is a deep-fried ball or patty made from ground chickpeas, fava beans, or both. Falafel is a traditional Middle Eastern food, commonly served in a pita, which acts as a pocket, or wrapped in a flatbread known as lafa; "falafel" also frequently refers to a wrapped sandwich that is prepared in this way. The falafel balls are topped with salads, pickled vegetables, hot sauce, and drizzled with tahini-based sauces. Falafel balls may also be eaten alone as a snack or served as part of a meze (appetizers).
the attached file is a sandwich that i bought just for you so you can taste it . Pay me later

  4. I just called NVC and the customer service agent told me, my case has been routed to the supervisor to review it because my DS260 is over 30 days now. Please how long will it take the supervisor to review the case.

it can take up to 42 days but that in worst scenario , however most of time is takes between a week and month

in my case i called the sup and talk to him directly and the next day my case was completed

keep calling them till you get it done

  5. You stated "(Do we need to put proof of US Citizenship?) ( yes you have to send either copy of your passport or birth certificate or citizenship certificate ) "

But on the NVC Wiki it doesn't state anywhere to provide any kind of citizenship verification .... ??

it does in the joint sponsor

it is stated in the cover sheet and even in the Travel.state.com

    http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Supporting_documents.html

  6. Umm, yes.

But just to be sure let me just cross check with you.

The Petitioner is my husband and we are not using any joint sponsors or any assets. Only his income. Also, I am the only immigrant.

    >> Financial Documents:

    1. I-864EZ AOS form(Because it is shorter and easier)

    2. IRS Tax Transcripts from the last 3 years

    3. W-2's for last 3 years ( you re required to send the last year but it wont hurt if you send the 3 years )

    4. Employment Letter ( This is optional but it wont hurt if you send it

    5. Paystubs for last 6 months ( i use the last 3 months but again it wont hurt )

(Do we need to put proof of US Citizenship?) ( yes you have to send either copy of your passport or birth certificate or citizenship certificate )

    >> Civil Documents:

    1. Birth Certificate

    2. Marriage Certificate

    3. Photocopy of valid passport

    4. 2 Photographs of mine

    5. Police Certificate

We will attach the cover sheet and a cover letter for both packets.

    Are we missing anything else?

here is a link has everything you need

  7. No see. This is what I am asking. How come your cover sheet looks different? Is it because you used the one from the welcome letter? Because all I have is this.

    attachicon.gif1.png

yeah they sent me the welcome letter with AOS cover sheet

i read your cover sheet and i dont see why you can not send your docs .

its even stating you have to attach it with all your docs . if i were you i ll send all docs with that cover sheet you have , it has your applicant name and case number as well as the bar code

  8. Okay. So we can still send the documents in by Monday like we planned to? We will just add this cover sheet and a cover letter on top of the documents. Again, we can use this cover sheet for IV packet too, right?

Or should we wait for the AOS fees to change to PAID?

Sorry. Just trying to be specific. Do not want a checklist. :(

    1) yes you can use AOS cover sheet for IV ,

    2) you dont have to wait for AOS fees to change the status to paid

again as long as you have the AOS cover sheet with the bar code /case number , you can send your docs

attached file is an example of the AOS cover sheet

    good luck

  9. Well, the thing is, we have not received a welcome letter yet.

So what do we do? Wait for the letter?

Or just send the documents in using this cover sheet?

Also, do we make separate packets for AOS and IV documents and then put them in one envelop and ship them? Or just 1 single packet?

    1) you dont have to wait for the welcome letter since you have cover sheet with AOS bar code on it

    2) you can do it either way , but i think the best way is to put AOS & IV in separate envelope and make sure to attach the cover sheet that has the bar code/case number on the top of each (AOS & IV ) . then put both packages on one big envelope

  10. Hey Guys. New question:

So my husband paid the AOS fees and the document cover sheet it let us download looks like the 1st picture. Our fee is still in process and hasn't showed "PAID" yet.

Now, someone on Visa journey sent me another picture of a document cover sheet which looks like the 2nd picture?

Why do we have a different looking coversheet? Does this mean we need to wait for our payment to show "PAID" after which it will let us download this other kind of coversheet? This 2nd coversheet allows you to send all the documents(AOS and IV) in one single packet.

Also, if we can just use this one, do we have to wait for the IV fee payment and get another barcoded cover sheet like the one we have now and make separate AOS and IV packages?

Or can we just use this one for both?

    Very confused. Please help.

    attachicon.gif2.jpg

    1) short answer , once you pay the AOS fee and get the AOS Bar code you can send both package in the same envelope

    2) look at my signature and you ll notice that i did not even use AOS bar code , i used the welcome letter they sent me with the bar code on it but since you have AOS bar code , its better to use it

    3) in your signature , you meant case was received on 22 june not july ??

    good luck
