So had my interview today and was approved, and whilst obviosuly happy this post is not about that, I write this for all those still waiting at TSC, you are not forgotten my friends!
I know the disparity between TSC and CSC processing times isn't exactly the biggest injustice in the world, but it is staggering that an organisation with the funding and size of USCIS can't sort it's s**t out, processing some people in a month while others in a year, for no other reason that geographical location.
I've been through almost a year of hell waiting at TSC while others sail through at CSC in a month or two. And you can say well its over now, or it will soon be forgotten, but I don't forget, and it will take a while for the scars to heal.
Am i being dramatic, well yeah a bit, a lot worse happens in the world, but thats not the point. Being seperated from your loved one for a year while others only face a couple months apart, when those people are paying the same for the same process is ridiculous. There are STILL people waiting at TSC who applied the sae time as me, so this is for you, I feel your pain, I'm praying for you and you are not forgotten, apart from by those working at TSC. For those at TSC, good luck, and god bless, I made it, just, you will too.

My fiance used FedEx twice and I got the documents in 4 days. Also DHL which I got in 3 days. If your fiance's resident address is easy to locate, then they will deliver at his/her house. If not, the receiver will be called to come and pick it up at their office close to him/her. DHL and FedEx are quiet safe, easy, fast and efficient.

Things to study before you make a decision--
(Concerning what Fred said) You can't move back to the UK and take up residence and keep your greencard indefinitely. There are regulations for maintaining permanent resident status in the US. Read the rules. You could go through a visa process again and adjustment of status if you ever wanted to come back. Or you could become a US citizen and move back and forth freely.
A student visa has some requirements. Have you already been accepted into an approved program/school. http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/study-exchange/student.html
Tuition as an international student will be more expensive. Compare prices and see if it is affordable.
Your employment will be restricted on a student visa. You can't just find a job anywhere like you could with a greencard which authorizes you to work in the US.
Moving back to the UK with your boyfriend won't be a cake walk. . Study the requirements and the income you must make https://www.gov.uk/settle-in-the-uk
Unfortunately, there is no boyfriend visa to easily stay and live and work in the US. You have to marry to get those benefits. If you aren't ready for that, then go home before 90 days runs out and make a new plan for yourself that suits your needs. You are smart to admit that marriage isn't what you want right now.

Unshakable Faith reacted to Sirliner in Question about Getting an RFE
I'm one of those "hardly anyone gets an RFE from CSC" that DID get one. And it was for two things. A stupid typing error (fiancee's birthday not matching on two different pages) and they wanted a complete divorce decree, not just the final judgement page. So, it does happen. I mailed back the required info within 3 days, got my NOA2 less than 2 weeks later. So, it's good because someone is actually working on your paperwork and things could be done shortly.

So after calling and requesting and expedite request, waited for 4 days and today finally received the happy news our case is now under expedite review and we should receive NOA 2 in 10 business days or less. Hopefully we don't get any RFE.
Thanks to everyone here who helped, just one step closer now)

Thanks, Aviator, for the new "Transfer" thread. I will use that one, but wanted to post here too.
I managed to get my case to CSC, and am SOOOOO happy for my TSC to get transferred to Cali!
Hopefully, my case gets processed before they crack open the TSC cases! But I am willing to wait for those who have been waiting longer than I have! This is great news!

But sometimes it's not all about "me." It's the happiness for others...if future filers can be approved quicker than what we've been going through... that would be so nice to see!
We'll all be approved in a matter of time, I do understand the frustrations.

Why are there so many Negative Nancy's in here?
This is a fantastic step in the right direction! Our voices are being heard and only time will now tell. I couldn't be more delighted to hear this news! Heads and chins up high!

Maybe I am being naive, but I am so thrilled to hear this news and I really do believe it's a response to all of the advocacy from various VJ members in terms of contacting representatives, the white house, and so on. It may have happened no matter what but I still think that your voices have been heard. As someone who watched in frustration from the sidelines and was glad to see a dedicated group of people working their tails off to make a change--I just want to say thank you for all of your work! Now let's see what USCIS will come up with next

Ok, as a fairly recent immigrant to CA I can answer this The post about needing a US license to drive at all is nonsense.
We drove on our home country licences for about 2 months before we got CA licenses. Yes it says 10 days, but you try getting appointments for both written and behind the wheel tests within 10 days of arrival...can't do it. So don't panic about it.
No-one gave us any hassle for getting it late, well understood that it's physically impossible.
And actually I believe the actual wording is "apply" for a license within 10 days so as long as you have a test booked you should be able to argue it
Also no problem buying and insuring cars on a foreigh license.

Your comment bashing Chinese Nationals and other foreigners is small minded and against TOS.
This is an immigration site and nobody will stop their petition because you failed to adequately understand the culture of your wife.
I have not read one thing that says she scammed you, you had a big fight about her son moving in which should have been discussed
and agreed upon but to not picking him up from the airport and her walking in the cold to pick him up is lack of responsibility on your part
    and plain childish.
YOU should never again marry a foreigner, because YOU don't get it.
Was I scammed before ? Yes, by Americans ! I am also a naturalized citizen and take it as an insult for you to say don't marry a foreigner.
Be accountable for your own poor choices and stop generalizing and stereotyping.
You should make sure your communication skills match that of your spouse when you chose one or have the patience to work on it with her
and understand the culture that comes into play.

It depends on the State so you must check with the DMV in the State you wish to live. Some States allow you to drive on your foreign license for a while taking the DL tests. BUT each State is different.

How does one 'try out' a fiance(e)? You need to stop watching TLC. I was with my husband for 10 years before we filed for him to immigrate to the US. Yeah, then I 'tried him out' for 90 days after he entered the US with a K-1 visa. I decided I would go ahead and keep him then. Ridiculous notions you have.
Some people have long standing relationships before making life changing decisions. We lived a long time in a long distance relationship without him being able to come visit me, and I never begrudged those from other countries that could easily visit without even needing a visa. Sure, it was frustrating and hurtful at times. By human nature you feel that twinge of jealousy, but I never took to the internet on a cyber soapbox and lashed out others that could be together in person when we couldn't.
It is easy to sit up there on your high horse and think your marriage makes you more special and privileged than someone that is engaged, but it honestly doesn't.
I do not understand why all the animosity needs to occur. We are all going through, or have gone through, immigration processes of one form or another here on this forum. Seems like it would be time better spent to band together to help one another, no matter what visa route was chosen, rather than getting so upset and trying to place others beneath you.

I disagree that they should do away with K-1's. My husband and I chose the K-1 because I didn't want to marry him, go home, and be separated from my new husband for a year. Sure, it's equally difficult to be away from a loved one whether you're married or not. But something about having to be separated and not able to be true "newlyweds" just didn't sit well with me. They should absolutely make both the i-130 and i-129f process faster. It's insane how long people have to be apart from their partners/family.
