I have been trying to reach the NVC to get my case number for several days. I have been unable to get through. The message "due to the large number of calls .... please call back later". What is the best time to call? My case was approved Sept. 8 at CSC. Thanks!

It's better to call as early as possible, around 7:30 or 8 AM. Or, close to closing time, around 11PM EST. My husband liked calling them at night.

I am so happy to see all the February filers progressing along smoothly. Some have their Case complete now and a lot more are waiting for their CC. Maybe one or two are still waiting for their NOA2. I am happy to share this happiness with you, since I too got my N/A!! OMG!! I just cried!! I couldn't believe it!!

I gotta confess, I was about to go into the website yesterday, but I determined that I wasn't going to until today! So, as soon as I saw your post about the N/A this morning, I did the same and cannot be happier to see that beautiful N/A.

We were blessed on having our CC before 21 days!!! OMG!! Definitely grateful to God, for such exciting news and thankful to all of VJ members for all their help!

Just give time for a week and then you can call NVC again.

Update: Case complete today after 21 days.. Woohoo! God is good!!!

Yes, it is difficult, but every time I see PAID, I just get bummed, so I'm just going to log in to it until Friday. BTW, I am just stunned to know you already have your interview date!! That is just amazing! So happy for you!!

You said 9PM EST. Does the NVC works after 5PM also? They won't even take the calls in the afternoon as far as I remember. Is there any separate number for evening call?

I agree with jayisis. Evening is the time when calls are usually lesser, so it's easier for you to get through. My husband likes to call around that time too.

Thanks MsJC, I sent it USPS express and tracking said it was delivered on Monday Sept 14th. I may call them tonight to see when it will be scanned...Btw, everyone and their spouse should visit the mountains of Chiang Mai, beautiful! Ok, will keep everyone posted about the case.

I would say call NVC after 3 days, but it's not wrong either to call them earlier. Hope you'll hear good news from them tonight!

Cool! I know, this is very difficult, even more knowing others got their CC before the 30 day mark which makes us check the CEAC website everyday, more so now that we are close to the 21 days... let's pull it thorough and not check the website till Friday!! We can do this!

It was kinda hard for me to not check it everyday, but I managed to do it by preparing stuffs for interview and focusing on my everyday work. But my husband became my questions target. I kept saying to him, "when would we get our CC?" "wonder when?" When when when when. Lol. Sorry hubby. But anyway, you can do it! Good luck!

Jojo777, you can check CEAC website. I am still waiting for my 3 N/As but i think they should show up below the AOS fee, IV fee and not sure about the other one. Maybe someone here, who already got CC, can tell you exactly. But go and check CEAC! Good luck!

The other 2 N/As are already there under AOS documents/financial evidence and IV documents. The magical third N/A for a CC will show up under the AOS fee.

Hello! any case here that were received by NVC but website USCIS status didnt change? i was approved Sep.1 and my status hasnt been changed for 2 weeks and just got my NOA2 copy in the mail today.. shouldnt be my case status change to Sent to DOS by now?

Mine didn't change at all. Status is still written as approved until now, even when my case is already complete. No worry.

I am so happy folks. I got the case complete today.

Scan Date: 8/19 and Case Complete: 9/14.

They milked the 30 day review but we will let it slide :joy:

My husband has decided that our lawyers haven't been very helpful and will be moving with NVC process without them, I'm happy he finally saw what I've been saying.

NVC still hasn't received our paperwork.

My husband got to speak to a Tier 2 supervisor today and was told that the number of days a case can be sent to NVC has changed to 90 as they are experiencing delays, but he did a service request for him.

So now we wait, I also sent an email to nvc investigate.

That's a good decision! I don't think lawyers are necessary as long as you don't have immigration problem in the past. You can do all the steps at NVC all yourself in your pace. Hope you'll hear good response from NVC soon!

That is what I am experiencing now. Got interview date on Sept 10 for Oct 27, and until now I haven't received any email from NVC regarding that. I'm a bit anxious too. Wonder if I should call NVC to ask or not. As for now my case status is still at NVC.

Since I did not include everything during USCIS stage, I'm gonna bring my photo albums, chat logs, copy of flight ticket, joint account statements, etc to the interview. Just in case they ask for it. Better be prepared.
