  1. So my wife spoke to USCIS and they told her that the 5 months waiting time is only for stand alone i-130 and not for spouses currently with each other inside the US. She says i130 filed with i485 still have long wait times and that people who are living together cases aren't necessarily sent to Nebraska, Texas or California; that most of those cases are sent to the NBC. Therefore, overseas spouses waiting are going to be receiving faster approvals. She requested to speak with an officer at the call center. So let's see. Maybe that's a glimmer of hope for us waiting outside

Yes, from what I know is that 5 months is only the approximate time of adjudication. So the approval can be faster, or slower. I read that one of November filers got sent to Nebraska, but then he got approved in 3 months after NOA1. You never knew. There is still hope, don't worry.

  2. Fiddling thumb while waiting for NOA2. On day 34 awaiting for it and still counting...My husband mailed our I-130 for my IR-1 in Phoenix,TX 1-31-2015. Received text from USCIS 2-2-2015. Received Receipt from USCIS 2-4-2015. From Philippines.

Hi debi361. I think your case will also get approved earlier than all of us here since all the petitions from the Philippines are automatically expedited. Good luck and all the best!

    Keep us updated.

  3. Hello everyone! I've been reading the forums for a while and wife and I finally filed the I-130 last week (Feb 27) and we just got the email from USCIS that our I-130 has been accepted and forwarded to the Vermont Service Center! Now I can stop checking our online banking five times a day to see if the check was cashed lol

Now the long wait to NOA2... Good luck to everyone!

    Congratulations! One step closer.

    @tashired

My fiend's nephew went through Nebraska and it was approved in 4 months and he was asked to leave the country a few years ago. His wife filed in November for him snd his case is already at the NVC. Lol I was saying the same thing that this coming week will be my very first month. Let's keep praying. Remember God doesn't always count 1,2,3,4,5.... Sometime He jumps from 1 straight to 5!

    Yes, I agree!

We never know how God will work so for now just have faith and keep doing what we need to do.

  4. May I ask if what did you put on the other names used (including maiden name) on your form I-130? I put none instead of my name when I was single. Does it affects on the approval at USCIS because of that lapses?

Hi gracybird25, I did the same too. I put my maiden name instead of the one with my husband's last name. I have no idea if it will affect the approval or not, but I don't think it matters.

  5. My husband got a text from uscis today!!!!!!! One step closer for us being together as a family. Hopefully our actual receipt will come in the mail in a day or two( business days)

    Yay! Congrats!

Hi everyone. My husband resubmit our I-130 forms today February 27th because we made a mistake of filing both I-130 and I-129F so after sending my husband the NOA1 on February 9th our case was routed to Texas Service Center and then on February 18th my husband received a mail of I-797 rejection saying my husband should resubmit the exact forms of which he did today after making other corrections. Although we submitted the I-129F for Fiancée along with the I-130 thinking it will make it more faster by obtain K3 visa because we were giving wrong information but now we know better. We are trusting God for a successful processing and I pray that God see us all through so that we can be with our love ones soon. Stay blessed all

It's ok, finben. Keep doing what you have to do and trust God! His favor is over us all :)

woohoo! Got the email notification for NOA1 with receipt number. :)(but, interestingly enough, I did NOT get a text).

Case was sent to California Service Center... phew!... CSC and VSC were the two ones that "often" expedite cases sent from overseas.

Thank God, definitely a good day in the journey! :)

Finally! Congrats on your NOA1 and also getting sent to CSC :)

  6. Thank you!

Hopefully it goes fast for everyone. I think you might have move luck since Vermont is faster then Nebraska as far as I can tell.

It has been two weeks for us and I am already stressing over it...not sure how I will handle this whole process to be honest.

    Brent

    You're welcome!

I've never known how fast is this center compare to other center. So, if you're right about Vermont, then I am truly blessed and favored. :content:

  7. And and everyone of you thanks for the responses. Let's keep each other's company and support each other. Also could you all share who's in the US and who is outside? I am outside waiting for the process to be done. Welcome to our new home. Does anyone here know how to do spreadsheet. It'll be a great way to keep track the progress we make

I'm back in Indonesia now. I had to go back on the next day after I got married because my dad was terminally ill. Just like mbalih, I miss my husband so much. Pray that all this process won't take long. I just wanna reunite with my love asap.
