  1. That's what I'm trying to explain has been a trend in recent months. It seems that CSC does not. The theory is that CSC holds onto things for a few weeks and ships in batches to give TSC filers a head start at NVC because they've already been delayed so long. This isn't my theory, this has been kicked around for at least as long as I've been on the boards. I looked at Igor's list and I can't find anyone from CSC with your NOA date or after that has been shipped to NVC

Sorry CatherineA but there are actually few people that has had their case numbers assigned including their interview scheduled. I am few days behind the OP and I have my case number from NVC.

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/534511-february-2015-filers/page-10#entry7568969

These are the February filers 2015.

  2. OP - I understand your frustration YES although you haven't been waiting 100+ like a lot of TSC filers have it is still frustrating as people who got their NOA2 around same time as you have their interview scheduled! I suggest your fiance to call them in a few days time, I have noticed the more you bug them with calls the more they chase up your case rather than let it to sleep!! Good thing is atleast your case isn't lost somewhere!

Now I really don't understand some people's negativity and sarcasm that's really not needed nor funny!! last time I've checked this is a forum!!

  3. Hey,

Don't worry!! As long as you're not in debt.

You can also change the address to the US address you're allowed to have a UK bank account even if you live abroad.

Just make sure your account is activate here and there because sometimes they can inhibit your account meaning it's dormant account (Noone is using it) and to reopen it you've to come back to the UK to your nearest Halifax branch with identifications.

In terms of your overdraft thats an agreement limit you have with the bank so you're good to use it, like I said make sure there's an income coming in to the account as ODF(Overdraft facility) gets reviewed anually and they might take it away from you if there's no income coming in.

Ps. you dont have income coming into the account if you just want it open. Just make sure there's money in there even if it's a £1 and keep it activate every once a month.

I work in a bank myself lol

  4. As far as I am concerned you're not required vaccinatation for K1 visa but you're going to need it for AOS. So I'm assuming he'd has to get them done when he is in the states before AOS but that's probably going to cost a lot of $$.

  5. OP said nothing about marrying after 90 days.

OPs question was when to file aos- before or after the 90 days are up.

    Answer is plain and simple.

You can file any time after you are married.

I filed two months after my 90 days ran up because I didn't have the money earlier.

You will be out of status until you file but that is forgiven once you file.

(Just obviously don't let it be years ?)

So just a quick Q Cody & Daisy,

If you get married within the 90 days and also file AOS form I-485 within those 90 days it is going to to cost $1040.00 but you don't have to file I-130 BUT if you decide to file the AOS after the 90 days timeframe you have to file both form I-130 + AOS.

Did I get this right :huh2:

  6. Hmm!!

Well I am no expert but I have a feeling they've sent it to the wrong department and not NVC, I have been reading some posts where people who got approved in Oct (CSC) was stuck as their cases got sent to NRC instead of NVC.

Good news is though atleast they have your case and hopefully they'll post it to NVC now. Call them on monday and everyday after that untill you receive your case number!! Don't wait two weeks.

  7. It is supposed to be original...wet signature. I know of at least one girl who got by with an emailed copy. She was a very beautiful blonde. How's your charm factor? I would say get one in the mail tomorrow. I have had things arrive in the UK in only four days using first class mail. Then take the scan and say your copy didn't arrive and it was mailed weeks ago. (Be sure the date confirms it was signed weeks ago...hee hee). You might get by with it. Worth a try. I wouldn't spend a fortune on some FedEx rush. They are pretty flexible.

Oh thank you. I've still got a long way for my interview so hopefully I should have it.

haha I'm far from a blonde so that won't work

  8. The more British in America the better!!

The British are coming! The British are coming!

...Pssst. If Nich Nick says the same, you know you're on the right path :dancing::dancing::dancing:

    LOL this made me giggle!!!

Just one question, in terms of Affidavit Support can fiance sign for it and fax it to me or do we physically need a wet signature?

    Thank you!!

  9. They all say that, but when it updates on USCIS case status check, it says it's gone to DOS.

CSC seems to be a bit erratic about actually updating the status when sent. Have you tried calling NVC?

CSC doesn't seem to update anything on the tracking site after approval, or do they? I personally have never received any update after approval.

My NOA2 hard copy states " We have sent the original visa petition to the department of state national visa centre (NVC)". It may be the case that they've sent it to London.

  10. Yanirose,

thank you so much for sharing your experience.

My PoE for my visit in 2 1/2 weeks is Seattle. I do have a connecting flight to Portland, I have to go through the immigrations in Seattle though. Do you think it will be possible to use the self service machines as well or is it just for final destination passengers?

Can you perhaps let me know where you have found those self service machines. I hope I will find them. It's my first flight via Seattle. I am a bit nervous!

Have a wonderful time together with your fiancé!!!

    Hey,

Is this your first time on ESTA?

If it isnt then yes you can use the self-machine service, they've basically changed it. I've been to Seattle three times and the previous were straight to an Immigration Officer, but now you'll be asked if you're a returning ESTA, Greencard holder or US citizen to join the self-machine service line.

If It is your first time on ESTA you have to meet an IO (immigratlion officer).

You'll be fine do not stress, just have your ties back to your homecountry ready such as two months payslip. Also only answer what they ask with a smile lol

And yes even though Seattle isn't your final destination you'll still have to clear immigration and customs in Seattle.

    Good luck

  11. Hey everybody,

Just want to share my experience since I've been reading everyone else's. So yes I've collected all my ties back to the UK such as payslips and employers letter.

I was so nervous and felt sick but Thank God Seattle had one of them airports with self machine service where you scan your passport, take a photo and fingerprints. I did that and then went to the officer. He asked me two Q's Are you here for pleasure or business? I said Pleasure and how long i'm staying, I said two weeks! He then said welcome to America and stamped my passport!!! It was that easy my God I was sick for no reason lol. By the way the self machine service is for people with returning ESTA as in not your first

time ESTA, green card holders and US citizen.

Good luck everyone.. Now I'm just going to enjoy my two weeks with my fiancé before going back to waiting and counting down the days!

  12. You can enter the US under the VWP and get married. That's perfectly legal.

No it is not legal at all, I cannot enter the US under the VWP and tell the IO I am here to my marry my fiancé. Forget fiancé the min you say you have a significant other who is a US citizen they'll ask you more questions to find out what your intentions are.

Now however you can lie to the IO and use VWP and then get married but please don't say that's legal. If it was I think I-129F wouldn't exist.

  13. You could technically marry somewhere else in Europe and be honest about your intentions at entry. I had no problem with my British passport entering the Schengen and explicitly telling the IO to stamp my passport because the Danish government required proof of date of entry to get married.

They can't really deny you, but I get that people would want to marry in one country or the other.

That's because it was within EEA as mentioned earlier. I know for fact if you're an EU or EEA (Norway & Swiss) there're no way you can enter the UK/ and tell the IO your intention of getting married. As you know any EEA and EU can work and have the right to live in the UK so they wouldn't care if you was getting married.

Now am not sure of other European countries rules and regulations but I also do know that you have to register with your local register before getting married as well as providing Identification and proof of address.

  14. If you have trouble getting a B1/B2, then you certainly won't get a K-1 Visa.

Are you telling me a USC cannot marry a UK citizen in the UK or anywhere else?

No you can't!! UK has their own law's and it's not that easy, you have to register before you get married and when you're registering you need a proof of address and identification. + UK Border wont let anyone in intending to get married, here as well you have to apply for a fiancé visa :)

    Yuna628 I agree :)

  15. hello, i have a question and i thought that you can help me

last thursday i had my K1 interview and i got approved and the embassy asked me to come back after two business days ( next tuesday) to pick up my passport, my question is do i will get my visa on my passport next tuesday? coz i my application right now is on the "Administrative Processing" and some people have told me that it can takes weeks before i get my visa is that true? can you tell me about your visa please, i mean did you get it after two business day?

    thanks

    Hi Bluenight,

First of all huge congrats am very happy for you.

Now in regards to AP, from what I've read here on VJ and few researches I've done it can take from few days up to months or even years. Hopefully in your situation it'll be just few days.

I'll believe you'll find it out on tuesday.

  16. First of all I am so sorry that this has happened to you and NO you're not stupid, it can happen to anyone one of us, she's obviously fooled you and love can be blind. So don't beat yourself over it and calm yourself to think of a solution to take her back to her home country.

She obviously has a different dream than yourself by living in the US and bringing in her beloved boyfriend.

I honestly think you should just remove yourself from the situation by withdrawing your application (AOS) and just live with your family or friends while you're filing for a divorce. Now I know she won't have nobody or nothing to live on but so what? She sure isn't thinking about you nor your feelings so stop caring about her.

    Best of luck

Ps. Its people like her why genuine people has to suffer with their application just so they can start a life with their loved ones.

  17. Hi everyone,

We've received the NOA1 in text and email. We've also been told that we'll receive the NOA1 hard copy in the post and that we should follow the instruction in the letter, however we've yet to receive it and it has nearly been three weeks now.

    So my question is;

is it important to have the NOA1 hard copy and are we going to receive a different case number than what we have already received in email&txt?

The address is correct as UCIS sent us back our package before receiving the NOA1(We forgot to sign something, silly us, I know)

    Thank you

  18. No its not.

Unless you've given notice the UK authorities (Local register officer) and the mosque you got married in has got the marriage license then no unfortunately it is not legal. Also bare in mind when you've given notice it also takes 15 days before you can actually get married.

Trust me on this I've done a lot of research and that's how it is.

You're married under the eyes of Islam but not legally in the UK therefore the US authorities won't accept it. If you however got married in an Muslim country who legalise it then it would've been different but the fact that you got married in the UK you have to follow the UK law.

    Good luck.

  19. Hey everyone,

So I'm really worried, my fiancé sent our package (I-129F) via Fedex with tracking number. The package has been received and signed for on the 21st of January. However we've yet to receive any notifications (email nor hard copy).

    Is this normal?

It has been ten days and I'm slightly worried now. I know NOA2 takes ages but after reading few threads it seems that everyone received their NOA1 within a week or less.

We've also used money order so I'm not sure if they've cashed the money yet or not.

    Could this be a problem?

    Thank you in advance.

Ps. the address we've used is (Fedex):

    USCIS

    Attn: I-129F

2501 South State Jighway 121 Business

    Suite 400

    Lewisville, TX 75067
