  1. Hi everyone,

So I have my interview soon and I was here sorting out paperwork and that. I've been told to bring some photos of me and my husband together on holiday/vacation , however we have one big family photo album with all my family and his family included, Shall I bring in that album or shall I get a new album and just get the relevant photos with me and my husband only?

It may be a silly Q I know but better safe than not.

    Thnx in advance

  2. You will receive the conditional 2 year card. You have only been married a year.

    https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/after-green-card-granted/conditional-permanent-residence/remove-conditions-permanent-residence-based-marriage

Your permanent residence status is conditional if it is based on a marriage that was less than 2 years old on the day you were given permanent residence.

BTW, your timeline is messed up. You have entered your interview date as a transfer, and have your approval/denial date as Aug. 23rd. That is not possible.

~ Moved from AOS from Work, Student & Tourist Visas Progress forum to AOS from Family Based Visas - OP is adjusting from K visa ~

It was defiantly a mess lol I just fixed it, thnx for the heads up

  3. Ok so my case has been stuck on "Fingerprint received ..." , 3 weeks ago I did a service request and spoke to a tier 2 customer service as my case has passed it's handling time (According to seattle local office), the tier 2 lady told me my case is still at Lee summit service centre and she didn't know why it took so long but to call back within 4 weeks for more update.

As I was waiting for the 4 weeks to finish today my case changed to "Case ready for interview". So now I'm confused, if my case is ready for interview shouldn't my local office be handling my case? Also looking at seattle handling time they've way passed Oct filers, they're working on November..

Am I going crazy here or?

  4. Hi everyone so I've lived in the US officially for a year now and recently just had a baby. A friend of mine advised me to go to WIC and apply for medicaid. We do qualify for it as we only live on my husbands income and I am not working at the moment but my concern is my husband signed for to take care of me and signed for the form I-864 affidavit of support. Is this going to affect us? or can I apply for the medicaid?

Ps. I am still waiting for my greencard

    Thank you

  5. Wow I am in exactly the same position as you..

I did my application early Oct (2015, adjusting from K1) and my status is still stuck on fingerprint fee received as well!! I am still waiting for my case inquire, it's been 20 days now...

At this point I am going to contact my congress man if they don't respond to me within 30 days.

May I ask where is your local office?

  6. I have almost 30 days (tomorrow) of a request about my I485 rfe... So, what can I tell you.

Have you received any answer yet? call USCIS!

I personally think it never hurts to try. I contacted both my senators during our K1 process. Ironically while on my trip to the UK to visit my then fiancé now hubby I sat on the plane ride to Atlanta next to one of my senators and he gave me all his contact info if I ever needed any help. :)

    Oh talk about luck!! lol

Yeah I'll contact them on Monday, you're right it won't hurt!
